I could have rated them with a 5, but I recently had an event there and I was not pleased at all with the staff during the event! The place was well decorated! I loved the decor, but for me it does not matter how good the place look, Customer Service it definitely tops everything! Just know that they cut corners when it comes to saving money and if you want a beautiful event, until they hire the proper and knowledgeable people, this is not the place to pay thousands of dollars. :) That's all I have to say! Prior to the event, the owner was great and accommodating to my schedule and very understanding when it took me sometime to finalize the event date and contract. However, as soon as I paid the money for our event, the owner went MIA on me. We hosted our event 2 months ago, and I've still not received our refundable deposit back. I've texted, called, emailed, and reached out to them on all social media platforms with no resolution. After several weeks, I got one message stating that the owner was out of country, but would be refunding my deposit by the following Monday-that was 3 weeks ago. The venue is not worth all the hassle of chasing them down-there are plenty of other places in Chicago who are more professional and trustworthy.

This venue reminds me of the type of space my boyfriend mentions when he decides to plan his birthday at the last minute. Anyway the venue is located off Huff which is apparently a very busy road. It took a lot to find parking and to actually recognize the event parking that was located next-door. The business to the right of the venue does not offer parking to my knowledge. The venue honestly has enough space for maybe six cars. Granted the venue isn't that big but it's definitely bigger than six cars worth of people. The inside is very industrial. It has a loft vibe. There is a small bar and one bathroom. Depending on how busy the space can be it could be very inconvenient with only one restroom. Especially if the bar kitchen area is occupied and you need another sink. There is a lot of space upstairs which requires walking. I would not suggest putting anything upstairs if you have guests that have leg or knee issues. Older guests will definitely not enjoy having to walk up those stairs for any reason. Overall the space isn't bad. I can imagine one having a small birthday party or another type of shower there. Perhaps even a networking event or something that doesn't require more than 30 people to attend. If you're looking for a small event venue within the perimeter and close to Midtown and the highway I will suggest it. Just be mindful of the parking situation.

She is world class. She is punctual, professional, attends to every detail, and makes sure every guest has their needs met. She is also personable, kind, easy to talk to and responds immediately to emails, texts, and phone calls. The last event I attended that Sandy orchestrated was this summer in Gwinnett. It was a tour of wedding venues and she and her team did a fabulous job! If you want someone who is knowledgeable, responsible, honest and capable, Imperial Events is it.

After speaking several times, Sandy confirmed that she took all ideas into consideration and would have the winter wonderland baby shower completed per our vision. The day before the baby shower, Sandy sent an invoice for double the budget. This was not communicated prior to. Sandy also used most of the budget for chairs, plastic ware, and tables and no decor. When we arrived the day of the event, Sandy was late setting up. She didn't finish until two hours after the event started. She also had our family and friends helping her complete the set up which made the shower start so late. She did not have a staff to help her as she stated. She also had someone bring the center pieces two hours late and placed them down as guests were eating. We had to pay the dj for an extra hour and request that Sandy extend the space rental due to her late set up. The baby shower only had balloon garland chairs and tables. Sandy did not incorporate any of our ideas and the baby shower was not winter wonderland. This was a not what I expected or reflected the budget spent on it.
