I feel bad that I have to write a negative review for this place, as I was barely able to experience what they had to offer. Nonetheless I will deliver a review representative of my experience.
The reason for the one star is due to the miscommunication on their end, causing me issues with my referring physician. I had been told that there was no need for me to return for physical therapy, due to the fact that my physical therapy was only going to entail back strengthening stretches that could be performed at home.
The therapist who first showed me how to perform my stretches seemed very uncomfortable, making me perturbed, seemingly afraid to put his hands on me. Due to my pain I was unable to perform much of the stretches, and each time I failed his body language became more impatient. Even his respiration became audibly annoyed with each struggle I faced. At the end I asked if I needed to keep returning, fearing doing so, and he said no there was no need. I asked him to document what he said, and he agreed to do so.
To make matters worse, the sessions lack privacy. With my genitals nearly falling out of my shorts as I was stretching on the table, onlookers (both professional and casual) stood against a railing/median in the room watching me/every patient. I hope they enjoyed the show, as I don't mind the gawking so much as the lack of privacy in general. There is such a thing as too much privacy, but my main complaint is not an example of desire for excess privacy rather their incompetence and lack of forethought.
I mentioned earlier about the therapist saying I did not need to return, that I asked him to document that he said that, and him agreeing to do so. Well when I got to the front I mentioned that to the receptionist, as well as making a joke referring to my girlfriend riding my behind about therapy for my injury. My joke was taken as some sort of personal offense, her getting offended on behalf of another person who would've laughed at my humorous comment had she been there; but the receptionist purposefully and fraudulently wrote in my documents that I refused further therapy.
Ensure you mind your P's and Q's when visiting this place, as certain individuals are quite touchy and otherwise uptight, and will seek to hurt you for what they perceive as a slight against what I assume is their ignorant "gender-political" stance. read more
