The owner told me that there is nobody now (did I make an appointment? I did once before but when I came in, there was still no technician - they forgot about me) but I can come back in 10 minutes (the technician is on her way). I came back next day and Wendy did my mani-pedi. While doing my pedi she forgot the lotion part, went straight from scrub to nail polish. I asked about it, and she said that she is too tired and forgot. Hmmm... tired at 12pm...? Well it's ok, happens. But then my manicure was the worst, she did such a horrible job. The polish was not even, she kept adding thick coats again and again, fixing her errors. I told her that the polish is too thick and won't dry.. she didn't believe me (just saw it later but didn't admit her mistake). She also put the polish on my skin around the nails but missed the ends of nails. I was so disappointed for wasted time (!) and wanted to ask her to remove everything and leave. But then again - she was so slow and I wasted an hour already. I was just so glad that I wasn't going on any trip/event with "this"! Again, I had to ask her to bring the machine to dry my nails - she just wanted me to air dry. In the meantime she kept stepping on the machine drying my toes. I told her that it's pressing on my feet and she probably shouldn't step on it, as it might break. She was like "whatever" and kept stepping on it. I was almost laughing when the machine broke in two parts from the weight of her foot. I mean, okay, step on it, fix it later, but to do it while her client is using it!? My nails did not dry (of course!) even though she said it's good. She gave me small discount because my manicure was a big mess but I was so upset about lost time... and ugly mani. It got ruined right after I left and the nail polish started to chip in 2 days. I mean - was she doing it for the first time? I later talked to the owner but she didn't seem to care much either. A week later, my skin became painful, raw, and the top layer was visibly peeling. I sent photos to the clinic and was told this was "normal" and to continue my post care. It wasn't. My skin barrier was broken, and following their advice meant applying an acid product to open wounds. Within two days, I developed severe chemical burns across my back, chest, and neck. My skin is now scarred and significantly worse than before I ever contacted Bellair. It didn't end there. My in‑person assessment with Dr. Pugen was switched to virtual while I was already on my way, making it useless. As I cried through the appointment, he suggested laser treatment even though both my dermatologist and Bellair's own coordinator said it would be high‑risk for my skin type. Two follow‑up calls were scheduled; nobody called me either time and I had to call the clinic to make the appointments happen. The clinic also took very personal "before" photos of my bare chest and back, then later claimed they COULDN'T FIND THEM and they were never uploaded due to "wifi issues." They use iPads with internal storage, so this makes no sense. The violation of patient privacy is truly baffling. When I requested a refund from the director, Oscar Amar, he dragged it out for 19 days, insisted they "did nothing wrong," and eventually offered a partial refund of no specified amount. After everything, it was like a slap in the face. What happened to me here was NOT OKAY. Period. It was dangerous, negligent, and deeply unethical. Proceed with extreme caution. So when the area began to blister that night, I assumed it was a normal part of the process. It was only when the skin started to heal that I noticed a scar was developing, and it was at this point that I contacted Canada MedLaser with my concerns. I met with the clinic director, who asked if I had followed all their pre- and post-treatment care instructions, which I had. I then had an appointment with the clinic's own doctor who, after examining me, determined that the burn was likely due to the aesthetician using laser settings that were too high. I asked for a refund three times, and ten months after I first asked, was finally told that they "don't offer refunds beyond 10 days of the purchase date", and they would not issue me a refund despite the "fault on our part". Canada MedLaser shows a shocking disregard for client safety and well-being.

I initially went in for a consultation on getting a really stubborn nose wart removed. My first impression was that the facility was very impressive, well kept, and sparkling clean. They greeted me and offered complimentary coffee and chocolates. Then I found out that they also offered mole removal - something that I've been meaning to look into. They gave me a VERY reasonable quote for each service, explained the procedure, and informed me that each treatment would include a complimentary follow up appointment. I was a little suspicious of the cost because in life you usually "get what you pay for", but I decided to take a risk and called them back to schedule an appointment. I signed a waiver before treatment began. I followed their post treatment instructions and the wart fell off about 3-4 days later. I went for the follow up appointment and it was as if the wart was never there! This was a huge sigh of relief for me because I had been dealing with this wart on my nose for years! For some reason my skin is prone to growing warts over time, so I went back to NewDermaMed at least 2 more times to get new warts removed. One of them was larger than usual but they quoted me the same price as the smaller warts for being so loyal to them. Now for the moles. I had two of them on my face that hurt my self esteem for a very long time. Both the wart and mole removal used the same procedure so they costed the same price. The moles did go away after two follow ups (they did not charge me for a third treatment on the moles) but unfortunately I'm not as happy with the results as there are scars in place of the moles now. However, this was nothing that I did not expect, as they outlined in the waiver that I signed that scarring may occur post treatment. Just be aware that scarring may occur if you do decide to have a mole removed. One thing that didn't go unnoticed here is that they didn't pressure me into making a decision on the spot. Customers often worry about getting harassed with the upselling of services, and I respect the ladies at NewDermaMed for allowing me some time and space to think about it. After the consultation, they emailed me a copy of the quote, and I was free to walk out and make a decision on my own. Evidently, I came back to get the services done (and more!!). Like the rest of Yonge and Sheppard, parking is paid but if you love Whole Foods then you're in luck! Just grab a bite to eat for $15 after your appointment and you'll be able to park there. Overall, my experience with NewDermaMed has been very positive, and I would recommend their services to others. I was a little wary because of the reviews that previous Yelpers have left. However, I believe that the staff at NewDermaMed have heard their voices. They've stepped up their game and I didn't run into any issues that were outlined by previous Yelpers. I also recently received a peel that had no visible effect -- it felt like a waste of time and money. I plan to complete the few remaining treatments in my package, but I likely won't return after that. It's disappointing to see such a drop in standards after Nadia's departure.
