I've turned all of my friends and family onto this place and they all love it as well. Even in the midst of the pandemic, they have not missed a beat and are practicing safety, social distancing and employees are wearing protective gear, mask, gloves etc while handling food and interacting with customers. They're big, juicy and packed with flavor!! I love to get the mix & match cause that way I get wings, tenders and fries. The young lady at the register that took our order was so nice. She told us to sit where ever we'd like and to come up and order when we're ready. This place has gone up in price due to inflation so we paid $31 for the mix and match (that has gone up from $15 to $18) & and 5 piece wing, and a drink. The vibes here are pretty laid back, every time I've came up here it's never been too packed for me. The food came out in like 15 min which was good because they cook your food when you place the order. Overall I think this is still up there on my fav wings. So if you thinking of stopping by then you definitely should!

Fried goodness with a hint of powdered sugar, it melts in your mouth and a great item after you've been salted by the wings and fries. Since it's easy to order, I'll probably order here again and try some other flavors out. Heard the tenders are also tasty so that could be next.

I enjoyed their fried chicken, which for around $12, came with a thigh and leg, along with ample amounts of coleslaw and fried okra. Even I, as a voracious eater, could not finish all the sides. The chicken itself was beautifully fried in peanut oil, and truly one of the best, juiciest, fried chicken pieces I have ever had. This place is an example of simplicity at its finest. If you are in Houston and craving some down to earth fried chicken, Gus's is the place to go!

I visited DoDo's Chicken on Wednesday, 6/11 around 4:45 PM, excited to get the chicken and sides…read morethat I usually love. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing for several reasons. First, I noticed that the staff handling food behind the counter were not wearing gloves. Hygiene is important, especially when preparing and serving food, and it was concerning that no one appeared to be following proper food safety practices. At that time, the rotisserie was already being cleaned, which told me they had stopped preparing fresh chicken for the day. Instead, they were serving pre-cooked chicken kept in a warmer. As expected, this made the chicken dry and hard on the outside. I ordered the 1/2 dark meat chicken with yellow rice and Tequeños. However, I was given two small leg quarters and an extra piece of white meat--which I didn't ask for--all of which were extremely dry. The portion size has noticeably decreased as well. I was also very concerned to see them using spray cleaner near the food, which poses a risk of chemical contamination. On top of that, the Tequeños were extremely dark and tasted like they had been refried, nearly burnt. Adding to the poor experience, one of the girls behind the counter was playing around and massaging her coworkers while customers were being served. That level of unprofessional behavior is not something anyone wants to see while waiting for their food. I've always liked this place for its fresh rotisserie chicken, but it feels like DoDo's has started cutting corners on both food quality and cleanliness. Paying $19.52 for this meal just didn't feel worth it.

I decided to go for a wrap with a side of their savory spinach. I also ordered their Mango Tropics smoothie. Now I will say that I am used to a sugary smoothie but this smoothie was pretty good without all the extra sugar. The savory spinach was really delicious. And the Santa Fe wrap was good too.
