Went to Rebel to other night for a birthday and went to explore downstairs main floor. Saw this bartender serving a bunch of ppl. The speed and accuracy was crazy fast !! Think her name was Grace. Very friendly too. Probably best bartender there Look for her next time you are at rebel read more

Worst venue for a concert! Don't come here when it's cold outside, not much shelter. Not much parking either.

The club itself is great.. Music, atmosphere, the people and staff INSIDE the club. HOWEVER, let me tell you.. I don't know if Rebel hires independent contractors for security or they have their own but either way, the security outside are a joke. I put down a $1000 deposit for a booth and bottle service under MY name, and got rejected entry from the bottle service line. I constantly was being sent back and forth between lines where each bouncer told me to go to the other line and I always got the answer "You're in the wrong line, go stand in that one" and eventually got a "Sorry honey, you're not getting in tonight". It was -2 outside and I literally was in tears because I was cold (wearing a skirt too), frustrated, and embarrassed because I had invited at least 10 people who don't live downtown. The security had no consideration to even just let me in and talk to one of the girls inside to sort out my booth. I know this has happened before with other people, and there was at least 2 other groups of people who kept on saying they paid but had to deal with this nonsense from the security outside. Rebel security doesn't give a crap about how much you pay for "VIP" service, they treat everyone like trash. read more

My entire experience was terrible ! I read other reviews prier to coming in hopes my experience would be better. Security and bar staff were extremely rude, they only check men at security!!, was impossible to see and so crowded you get stepped on and pushed (keep in mind I was on the outside of the crowd and not in the mosh pit). Overall my experience here was terrible and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone especially teenagers as I witnessed 2 fights and security didn't do a thing. kigZan-gadfuj-humwu6 read more

I've been at this location a few times, the music is always good and the drinks are okay. I have only had two issues with this club before: it's usually really crowded and I once had my phone stolen with no support from security. However, the customer service last night was very disappointing. The website was not accessible; it kept saying it was not secure. Usually on Saturday's, there's a "girl's get in free" deal, and though last night was the carnival event, it said girls would still get in free on the Facebook page using fast track. When we got there, they said that that was only if you sign up on the guest list THREE HOURS prior to coming, even though it didn't say that anywhere on the Facebook post. So for half an hour, we were running around to find different vending machines (the closest one wasn't working), and had to pay the fee. The lady who was doing the security check was especially rude. When she reached into my pocket, she said "Really?" to some of the receipts and bus tickets I kept in my pocket. First of all, it should be a quick check. I do not want my mood ruined by feeling embarrassed by what's in my coat on a Saturday night. At coat check, they said to take a picture of the tickets in case we lost the physical copies. Chance be it that we did lose our tickets and we had to show the lady the picture at the end of the night. It was a different person than the one who'd served us earlier and was really rude. I understand that there should be security to make sure people pick up the right coats, but there was no reason for her to be so rude. She asked us where our real tickets were and we explained that the person earlier told us taking a picture would be okay, too. She asked, "I know but where are the tickets? You don't have them?" We said that we lost them and she got huffy. She asked us to describe our jackets. We began describing the colour and the length, but she interrupted saying, "Look behind me. That could describe any of these jackets. Give me more detail." We kind of looked at each other like, "What?" We weren't even done describing them. We finished telling her what brands they were and she even asked us to list what were in our pockets. At this point, we were drunk and tired, and told her all that we could remember. My sister had told her she had nothing in her pockets, forgetting about a lip gloss she'd left in there. When the lady saw it, she asked rudely, "What is this?" My sister said, "Oh, I forgot my lipstick." She replied, "You said there was nothing in here. Nothing in here, hm?" She rolled her eyes. She took a picture and asked for all of our names and numbers, (probably policy, which is understandable). When she got to my friends jacket pocket, she found the ID that my friend told her was in there. Still, she asked for her name and number even though her ID and picture was literally in the jacket pocket. Overall, the service was incredibly lacking. Total buzzkill after a week of stress. Doubt I'll be coming again. read more

Very cool club and location. Extremely loud. Very Expensive. Worth a visit.

I have a very love/hate relationship with this place. I've never been here to go clubbing (not really my thing), but I have been here for more than 10 concerts, and my experience is always a hit and miss. First of all, as others have said, the actual location of this place is a total nightmare. It's basically in the middle of NOWHERE, and although there have been comments to uber, trying to catch an uber AFTER the show is a crapshoot, and numerous times I've tried, it's been so busy that it's told me that there's no ubers in the area. That's how busy it gets. On top of that, parking is $20, which isn't that bad, but the parking lot after the show is a disaster, with it probably taking at LEAST 20 minutes to get out of the parking lot. The bartenders and bouncers are also super rude, and the drink prices are ridiculous, to say the least. It was $10 for a rum and diet coke, and she barely put any rum inside. However, the reason this place isn't a total trash fire is because of the venue itself. The location (though far from everything) is beautiful, and the view of the city is breathtaking. What's even more breathtaking is the balcony - when I came here in November, even though it was freezing, I still ended up spending a bunch of time on the balcony just because of how beautiful the view is, and how peaceful it is - not really the reason you go to a club, but it's always nice to step outside and enjoy the fresh air. Another plus is the venue itself - it's spacious and well-kept, and this is the one venue where I don't cringe when I step inside the bathroom. All in all, I really don't plan on coming back here unless someone I really like is coming to town, but I do hope they fix the whole parking situation, so that it's more accessible and less of a chore. read more

I visited Rebel last night with some friends, and while the place itself was great, the bartender practically robbed us. She added 40%+ in tips for herself while serving drinks and even when I asked, pretended that that was the price. For example, in one particular go, she charged us $28.80 for 2 shots of Grey Goose! My friends later told me that she tried the same thing with them, and they caught her in the lie. They paid $10 for each drink after they caught her. So, terrible, greedy staff. Be careful or they might rob you! Do not be afraid to ask them to restart the transaction on the machine, if you suspect something is up. read more

We spent more to purchase the tickets for the Mezzanine Level for the Kasabian concert. When we arrived, we were advised that they were not opening the balcony (Mezzanne level). We were told we were able to sit on the side areas of the stage. This looked as if this was going to be a nice area, until they crowded others in front of those who had shown up early. Kasabian put on a great show, but I will never visit REBEL again. read more

I'm not usually one to complain. But I need to address our first time experience this past Saturday night (3/18). We went through coat check and the coat check girls were EXTREMELY rude. I get you're busy because I am a manager in the hospital industry and have personally worked in a high stress environment, but there is a right way and a wrong way on how to go about handling stress in the work place. Management needs to train or even retrain employees on manners and how to properly greet your patrons at Rebel. My friend (who was the Birthday girl) was being yelled at because she accidentally was off when counted her change and was a quarter off she then promptly fixed it by giving the total amount for $3.50. The girl that took my coat kept demanding the amount $3.50 when I was in the process of taking a $5 out of my purse. I asked for change and she rolled her eyes throwing the change at me. Then I overheard her say to her coworker "why the hell wouldn't I give f***ing change back" loudly so I could hear. I'm sorry but if that was my employee I would be absolutely mortified that they're treating our patrons in such a way. The bartenders were unfriendly and asking "what do you want" rather than a prompt friendly greeting upon arrival. You need to retrain your employees on respect. Also when we were leaving coat check lost my friends scarf. When he asked her to look she cocked a major attitude with him. She eventually found it but was complaining the whole time. I would never come back to this establishment. There are other nightclubs in Toronto around the same price. I would have expected a lot more and had high expectations for the amount of money you charge. read more

Absolutely con artists, me and some friends were trying to get a booth for the kodack black on the balcony and the person we were talking to was trying to misdirect us by sending pictures of the 2nd story floor plans all the while saying we would be getting the booth we wanted we continuously asked if we would be on the balcony and they kept telling us yes exactly when I looked further into the email they would agree we get balcony booth but continue to say "city view" I then looked at their floor plans and it turns out city view is actually a general admissions area that anyone can go to for free but they were trying to charge us $480 to reserve a table last time we went here we hung out in the same area and had drinks for free at the a boogie concert word to the wise do your due diligence before you make the deposit with these cretins I would give zero stars out of 5 if possible read more

Came here about a month ago for a concert. The experience was sort of ruined for me by the rude staff. When we were lining up to get inside, the staff were rough and pushy. Maybe if the wristband and bag checking procedures were more efficient, then everyone wouldn't be so frustrated. They treated a patient crowd crowd rudely. When I was lining up to leave, I saw one of the staff red faced, yelling and swearing at a concert goer. It was ridiculous. I agree with a previous review that says they were disrespectful. The coat check people were nice though. Could not wait to get away from this place. Gross. read more

Great venue, great music, lots of security, and felt very safe- there was once incident that i witnessed: one security guard (young man) up in the VIP lounge area was arguing with another young man (who was clearly very intoxicated) and the security guard pushed this man aggressively against the wall- while doing so a young woman walking by got pushed up behind the intoxicated man, and was very aggressively squished between the wall and the man, because of the security guard. The young woman was visibly upset, and did cry as she was injured. The security guard should have been aware of his surroundings, and should have reacted in a more professional way, making sure those passing were not injured like that girl. Other then this incident, my experience was 8/10 read more

went here for New Years Eve with my girlfriends and the drinks were over priced, watered down, and the bartenders didn't give any of us our change. The songs were okay, but most were remixed to the same beat and it got repetitive. It was overcrowded and we encountered tons of creepy men that grabbed us and we ended up having to physically push them away because our words were not enough. Overall I would never go here again for an event. I'm sure it's a better atmosphere for concerts because the inside has a cool set up, but I don't plan on returning anytime soon. read more

Waited in line to only have my friend get kicked out because she was talking on the phone? Blond Security was a bitch. Said we should go outside for a "walk" for an hour and get a hot dog to eat. Who even says that? Mind you we were sober. Wtf? Had to wait at the end of the line AGAIN to come inside. Disrespectful and I have never felt like this at ANY club. Will not ever go back to rebel. read more

Biggest club in toronto, has everything you wish for a best club, im working and also partying in rebel , always full of surprises very popular dj's and events al the time read more

Don't get hustled by the bouncers. One bouncer told us guest list is available to 1 AM which is not true. We paid 20 dollars to the bouncer thinking we are covered to find out guest list is closed. Typically guest list is only available til 11:30 AM but this bouncer lied to collect easy $20 from each one of us. Altogether $40 to get into the club on a non-event night. Club is extremely packed. Only go to this club for events. read more

If I could give it less than one star I would. Went there for a concert, traveled all the way from the U.S. For starters, it was very unorganized and they were terrible with timing, letting us into the venue very late. Secondly, staff were horrible. The security guards were taking money from people in the line to allow them into the venue first, and to finish, when I was going into the event, a security guard touched my lower back and butt, and when I told him not to touch me he started screaming at me and told me he was not going to let him in, because "touching me was part of his job". I felt so disrespected, needless to say will never be going back and do not recommend! read more

It was an alright experience. It's relatively cheap to get in, but the booze is way too expensive, like most other clubs. And the line up is what's the worst. Good music though read more

Best club in Toronto. Patio and inside vaulted LED ceilings are very nice. Worth the cover charge.

WORST CLUB! Never have I had such bad service in my entire life, i was treated with minimal respect and decency I couldn't even voice my opinion in order to clarify my v.i.p access. Definitely would not recommend this club to anyone within the Toronto area on a Saturday night. Please avoid if you are looking for a good time. It is the complete opposite. Security does not even have valid licenses, can't do there jobs and refuse to deal with the slightest issues that arise within the line. Overall would rate this club 1/10 for service and 4/10 for venue definitely a hard no for any regular club go-ers. Hope this review helps any regular Human beings who are looking for a reasonable time without having every one of their motives and actions criticized and questioned. Terrible club. Would get shut down if I could. read more

This will forever be my favourite club. City skyline is unreal, and the space is massive so its never too crowded.

Drinks are expensive. Security lady was super rude and grabbed/pulled me by my coat.

Came here to see the Eagles of Death Metal and Mastodon, friendly helpful staff. great atmosphere, awesome venue, club to see a band, attend an event. My only complaint would be that drinks were overpriced, but other than that, it's a great place. read more

Great place if you only want to party. Terrible service and power-tripping security. A simply drink cost us 17 bucks. The bartenders were extremely rude. We waited in the Guest List line, as we had signed up earlier, only to be told that we needed to line up in the regular line with people not on the list. Not much point. The atmosphere is cool, but that's about it. read more

Don't waste your time and money on this place, especially for events that you have to pay in advance for tickets, such as New Years Eve. Doesn't guarantee entry. Much better options in Toronto! read more

physical space of the club was cool but the men are creepy as shit and all our friends were touched at least 4 times
