    Completely empty dance floor.

Coda is a toronto fixture for house music and is fairly casual too. The location is on Bathurst just north of Bloor St. on the west side. You can see the lineup outside as security checks you out before you go in. I went one night to see my local celebrity DJ, KTA play a show the night before she attended the Junos with her nomination. It made for a party-like atmosphere with plenty of cheering etc. I didn't know about Coda before going, just bought the ticket online and showed up in shorts and a t-shirt and flip flops without checking for a dress code and luckily looks like there isn't one, whew! The guy in front of me had a backpack and he was getting hassled for that by security as they started getting louder and louder if he wasn't listening and doing that they said. They could have been nicer, but really? bringing a backpack into a club seems like a silly thing to do. It's down into the basement and has decent lighting effects and the sound is dope! The crowd was into dancing and taking selfies too, quite a fun night. I would go again!

    Lots of people, lights, sound.

Hype AF. I had such a great time here. Great sound, friendly door staff (no attitude), open late (till 5am?!). Non-stop bangers all night long. Room for improvement: girl collecting cover says they take credit at the bar (really?) but they in fact don't. Would've pulled more from the ATM had I not been misinformed. I am surprised to have had such a good time. You guys are doing it right. Stay awesome, stay friendly. They had an international DJ (Joris Voorn) the night I went, but I hope being that awesome isn't a special occasion. Can't wait to go back! I hope it's as awesome the next time I go. And the next time. And the next...

The best place for electronic music in Toronto, period. CODA is the new Footwork. It's a place for true electronic music lovers. Here, I've seen and heard names like Josh Wink, Ricardo Villalobos, Adriatique, Sasha, Solomun, Ida Engberg, Adam Beyer, Art Department, Ten Walls and many, many more. The crowd is mature for its age and the vibe is amazing. The electric music culture runs as deep as the owners themselves, one of which plays himself. The staff is very friendly from the security to the bartenders - they treat you like a customer and a human being. If you love electronic music - you should visit CODA.

Such a great nite & a fun experience as my first club in Toronto. Amazing music although it did get crazy hot on the dance floor!

This place is the most shitty place I ever been. The waiting line is fucking forever and securities were so so so bad.

Easily the best nightclub in Toronto. Open layout, good ventilation, and the unpretentious crowd are great touches.

Really disappointed with how rude the security guard was to us. We had been hearing about this…read moreplace for a while and were excited to check it out. We walked in, grabbed some drinks, and walked over to the pool table that noone was using. The cover was on the table and there was food and drinks sitting on top of it. We asked a bunch of people that were standing around it if the food/drinks were there's and everyone said no so we moved it to the counter that was right next to the pool table, paid to play and started playing. We took one shot on the table & the security guard came in yelling at us to leave. We were so confused as to why they were so mad, didn't understand what we did wrong and were asking them why. They just kept saying over and over again that we took the cover off the table so we need to leave. But we didn't understand why we were getting kicked out. Eventually they told us that the pool table and darts close at 11pm and you're no longer allowed to play them after that time and they compared what we did to coming into their bar and messing with the thermostat. I apologized to them saying we had no idea and that it was our first time there and that we thought the cover was just on to protect the table when it wasn't in use since people had food and drinks on it. They continued to yell at us to leave and when asking why we had to leave they said because we didn't ask to play pool and that if we had asked they would have told us no. If the security guard had come up to us and just let us know that the pool table had closed at 11 we would have apologized and stopped playing immediately because we had no idea since it was our first time there. But being yelled at and kicked out of a bar for playing pool that advertises having a pool table on Google was just so wild to us. There were no signs saying it closed at 11 and it just never even occured to us that there would be a time that a pool table would close because we've never experienced that at a bar before. We tried to reason with the security person asking why we had to leave and if we could stay if we stopped playing pool but they told us we disrespected them so we needed to leave. They then threatened to call the cops on us if we didn't leave. So we walked in, spent money on drinks that we didn't drink, spent money on pool that we didn't get to play, got yelled at and kicked out all while just trying to have a good time. Will not be returning.

Overall good vibe,…read more We signed up for guest list the morning of, so our cover was only $5 since we went before 11:30 PM (P.S you don't get a confirmation for the guest list, just sign up before the 9:30 PM deadline and you're pretty much on) The security at the front do a super thorough body check so at least your know the place is kept safe. Music was good, bathrooms were clean, but god damn, the reason for my 2/5 rating is because of the DJ. Let's just call him...10 second switch! Because that's right, 10 seconds after they start planning a song and you realize what the song is...BAM! Change of song! And while you might think that fast switches make for a solid variety of music, it ends up just giving you a headache. You can never really dance or sing to any of the songs because they kept switching so fast. Although the music was decent, this factor was kinda annoying and caused us head out early and just call it a night. I might return one day since everything else about the club was great, here's just hoping they have a new DJ by then...

I came here twice. The first time was okay since it was NYE so the music was better but the second…read moretime was terrible. My sister, her friend and I all agreed that it was the right choice to leave the club after 30 minutes. The club was upscale with the 2 weird gold statues and palm trees. The lightings and sound system were okay. NYE: The crowd was young and wild (it's nice to put it that way). Honestly, it was filled with people who just finally reached their legal age of drinking and alcoholics. It also had few butt-grabbing lovers and pervs. A guy held me up despite the fact that I tried hard to push him away and my sister's friends had to ruthlessly asking him to put me down. I was pissed because the bouncers didn't do anything about it. TWICE! THAT GUY CAME BACK TWICE AND THE BOUNCERS IGNORE IT!!!! The club was filled with drunk people as well. They were drunk, they didn't know what they were doing and again the bouncers just ignored them. They fell on the floor multiple times, stepped on my shoes, stole my NY hat and my glow sticks. The floor was wet and sticky. Broken glasses everywhere because someone decided to just throw their shot glasses there. The DJ was good tho! Second time I came back here: No, the music was just....slow and boring. I think it was for grinding lovers. Grinders were everywhere: at the booths, close to the pole, next to the statues.. everywhere! I ordered Jägerbomb and the bartender gave me Jack bomb which was really nasty (not a fan of Jack Daniel's) A convenient place if you decide to have some fun after a movie or Dave & Buster's but for sure you will have better experience with club scene downtown. Free parking tho:) But I'd rather go downtown, pay for a parking spot, and pay same price (or even cheaper) for cover, music, and drinks.
