Having lived in Louisiana all my life, I recently moved to Whitefish, MT. Top of my bucket list was to find a hair stylist! Yelp was my personal preference for assistance. After reviewing Yelp reviews, made decision to make an appointment with Ashley Purdy, owner of Rebel Salon here in Whitefish. When I walked in, taken back on the salon decor! Absolutely breath taking! Nothing I have ever witnessed before. Ashley introduced herself and there was an immediate connection! This beautiful young lady had the smile, personality, charisma, so much passion it was infectious! Immediately I told her she was a "Mini Me" relating to her energy! Ashley made me feel so welcome, as though we have known each other for years! Best color/highlight, cut and style!! Defiantly has a new customer! Normally my stylish would keep asking me to push back while shampooing my hair! Not at Rebel Salon! She has these amazing specialized chairs, that holds your head in place. Told me to relax and placed a warm awesome eye mask during the shampoo! I honestly started to doze off it felt so good. Ashley is a perfectionist, meticulous, extremely detailed and so passionate in what she does! Ashley had a much later appointment and said I was more than welcome to stay until next appointment. Being new to Montana, I so welcomed her invitation! Really got to know each other, family, shared stories. I not only found my MT hair stylist, but a new friend! Way more than my expectations! I would highly recommend Ashley Purdy owner of Rebel Salon in downtown Whitefish. Thanks again Karen Mayeaux for making me feel so very welcomed and my awesome hair! read more

A Wonderful Experience at Rebel Salon We feel so fortunate to have found Ashley at Rebel Salon! What started as a last-minute opportunity turned into such a special and memorable experience for my mom and me. Ashley was kind enough to take us in after a group cancellation, and we were incredibly lucky that she had the availability to shampoo, cut, and style both my mom's hair and mine. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. What made the experience even more special was the private, peaceful setting. The salon has such a unique and therapeutic atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful birds and the sounds of a little bird sanctuary. It was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable -- almost like a little escape from the outside world. Most importantly, Ashley took such wonderful care of my mom. Her patience, attentiveness, and compassion meant so much to us. She made sure my mom was comfortable throughout the entire appointment, and we truly appreciated the personal care she gave her. Ashley is not only talented and professional, but she creates an environment where you feel seen, respected, and cared for. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and grateful for the experience. Thank you, Ashley, for taking such wonderful care of my mom and me. We feel very lucky to have crossed paths with you and to have experienced your beautiful salon. We will always remember the kindness, peaceful atmosphere, and wonderful care you gave us. Highly recommend Rebel Salon and Ashley read more

I'm one of those guys who didn't used to care about where he got his haircuts. A year ago I wised up and found someone reputable in LA (where I live). Since then I've refused to get my hair cut anywhere else. Until today, when I realized I was shaggy and won't be back in LA for a while. And I was wildly pleased. Ashley is awesome. She's meticulous and really works to get the details right. She spent a while understanding what I wanted to do with my hair and making sure she was careful to check with me along the way. The entire experience from the wash to the cut was great. And I was (gasp) really happy with my hair after. Definitely recommend her. Now I have to figure out how to come back from LA every time I need a hair cut! read more

Where do I begin!? Ashley made every extra effort to make me feel pampered while I got my hair colored and cut. Some of the extras included preparing a drink of my choice, footstool & pillow to rest my legs, a message chair, hot rice pillow for my neck which smelled of lavender and eucalyptus, a great music list, a chilled eye mask while my hair was being washed and scalp massaged. She gives the personal touch that I've never had at any other salon. I got what I asked for and really love my new look. When we were finished, she even offered to drive me back to my hotel because she didn't want me walking in the cold/dark and sent me a text checking in with me the day after. Fun, loving, energetic, funky, cool. read more

Without a doubt, one of the best hair salon experiences I have ever had in my life! It is actually more like a spa/salon because Ashley treats you like a Queen with the pampering that she does: cool compresses for your eyes while she shampoos/massages your scalp, warm compresses for your neck and shoulders while she works her magic on your hair--and all infused with a delicious blend of lavender and eucalyptus aromatherapy. The salon itself is a charming mix of art deco/mid-century modern furniture and local art. But, really, the best part is Ashley herself. She is charming and very talented using only the best products. This salon is a treasure in Whitefish. read more

Ashley at Rebel salon is the best!!! She did a great job with my hair color and my cut. I couldn't be happier. She also has excellent customer service and was able to get me in quickly. Her salon is adorably decorated and unique. You can tell that she put a lot of thought and care into her salon to create a place that gives you a wonderful experience all around! Not only will your hair look fantastic, but you will get a selection of refreshing beverages and Lavender scented hot shoulder and eye pads that make you feel like you are at a spa. I have gotten my hair done a few different places in Whitefish and Rebel salon is by far the best! read more

I'm Mike visiting Whitefish for two months from Hawaii. I desperately needed a haircut and my friend booked me an appointment with Ashley. That was not a haircut. It was an amazing experience that included a haircut. The shampooing includes herbal wrap and head massage. The haircut was actually sculpturing done with a razor with expert attention to all my weird waves and curls. Now four days later, I comb my hair and it falls easily into place. By far the best haircut and salon experience I've ever had. Ashley is such a delight in addition to all her skills. I wish I lived here so I could visit every month read more

Ashley colored and styled my 15-year-old daughter's hair. My girls is a real diva but also a tender soul. Ashley was amazing! She went out of her way to make the appointment possible and gave my girl the full spa treatment! She even gave her Popsicle while under the hair dryer and played a card game with her to help the time pass. She totally "got" my kid and gave her a GREAT cut, color and overall rejuvenating experience. Ashley is warm, energetic, engaging and her salon is super groovy and comfortable. THANK YOU ASHLEY! A wonderful experience on a beautiful day. I have been going to see Ashley for several months now, but at my most recent appointment she really went above and beyond. First, the only day I had available was a Sunday. Second it was gorgeous outside so she suggested we sit out on the salons back patio to do my color, it was fantastic! Where else can you go and have your hair colored on a Sunday afternoon while being out in the sun. As usual, it was a fantastic experience with a great outcome. I will be going back! read more
