This is a quick and easy pick up for lunch when I need to get back to the office. Had the Crunchy California and Rainbow Roll combo which had salmon and tuna. The best part - no cream cheese. I like cream cheese but feel like many restaurants use this as filler and it takes away from the sushi experience and taste. Soy sauce was not overly salty.

As you round the turn on the far side wall is a refrigerated section with cold cuts, lunch meats, followed by fresh meats. The last stretch of this wall is a doored freezer section that contained meats, meals, and pizzas. Despite the fact that I was almost overwhelmed at this point I checked out all the center rows. The floor had clear markings showing the one way direction that shoppers were supposed to follow. Briefly I can tell you there were spices, oils, cake mixes,, candy for Halloween, paper products, laundry supplies, and so much more. I brought a grocery box from home that I had packed goods from Sam's in to fill with my purchases. When I approached the check out lane there was good signage that indicated to out your items on the conveyor belt. As the clerk scanned the items he repacked them in my box. Check out was a breeze and I'm sure I found some good buys plus some German goods that I would not find in my normal grocery store. I'll be back. While shopping in the cosmetics department, we were subjected to blatant and persistent shadowing by a store associate (white male mid to late 20s, blue polo, black pants and a name tag that I can't recall due to stress). This individual followed us closely from aisle to aisle, making no effort to hide their surveillance. This was not "customer service"; it was targeted intimidation. As a family--including a minor--who are openly gay and were dressed casually in hoodies, we felt we were being profiled. Whether this bias was based on our clothing, our sexual orientation, or a combination of both, the result was the same: we were treated like criminals rather than customers. When I attempted to de-escalate the situation by calmly asking the associate if there was a problem, the harassment intensified. Rather than acting professionally, a second associate joined the first, creating an intimidating 'two-against-one' dynamic. This targeted confrontation was aggressive and predatory; it left me physically shaking and fearing for my safety in front of my partner and our 15-year-old cousin. Shopping for basic necessities should not be a humiliating experience. My 15-year-old cousin and frankly, all of us, were left feeling shaken and unwelcome, and as a regular customer, I am appalled that Kroger's "Loss Prevention" standards allow for such aggressive and alienating behavior.
