Came here because of the high ratings, but I had a terrible experience. Not only was the owner, Rebecca, rude, but she gave me a terrible haircut. I asked Rebecca to make sure my hair was all the same length, no layers. I wanted a blunt straight cut, to take the dead ends off, but preserve as much of the length as possible for my upcoming wedding. I thought there's no way any hair stylist can screw this up. Boy was I very wrong. Rebecca combed my hair to the front, eyeballed, and cut. It was strange, so I stopped and asked her how she was going to cut my hair. She told me "I'm not here to give you a lesson on cutting hair, but I'm doing just what you asked." I didn't feel comfortable after what she said, but thought I would give her the benefit of the doubt. Bad idea. The whole time Rebecca cut my hair, she didn't even touch it once with her hands. Just kept combing to the front, eyeballing and cutting with the scissors. I've had enough haircuts to know you should section before cutting, and check and measure with your fingers. After Rebecca cut my hair, I pointed out to to her that the hair in front were at least 1.5 inches longer than the hair in the back (as expected since she combed the hair to the front before cutting), and that it wasn't very even. But she kept saying, "well, that's what you asked for, I gave you want you wanted." After arguing for a few minutes, I gave up and left. I will never come here again. read more

A new friend suggested I check out Rebecca Lynn Studio; he is balding, and said "if they can make me look good, imagine what they can do for you!" So I popped in one day for a cut--literally called em up and drove right on over, no wait! The place is clean and cute, and they have wet stations which means you don't have to traipse back and forth across the salon for a wash, they just spin you around and viola! Dan cut my hair, and he was friendly and personable. He really asked me how I liked my hair cut, what tools to use, etc., since I know "my hair best." My hair can be a little difficult to work with, so I really appreciate that he took the time to ask. Another great bonus: 1 week guarantee on the cut. If I didn't like it, I could come back for a redo or even get my money back. Got the cut on Monday and was back on Friday for some tweaking, which I'm glad I did, but even better to know the offer was there. $23 for a haircut is a wonderful deal, but beware: CASH ONLY! They also do styling, hair color, perms, nails, waxing and make up. They are an Aveda salon (but not a concept salon). I haven't decided yet to keep seeing Dan, or back to Robyn at Cha Cha, but I would recommend Rebecca Lynn Studio to anyone looking for a great deal on great service. Had a wonderful experience here with Dan. I am about as low maintenance as they come when it comes to my hair. I usually just get out of the shower and go, occasionally blow drying if I have the time. That being said, I've never been satisfied with discount salons - I like to keep it simple, but I have a short cut and always walk out thinking it looks terrible. I also don't want to spend $50 on a haircut, so I've always dreaded the whole ordeal. Every other review is right on about this place. For the price, it's the best haircut I've ever had. Dan is a genuinely friendly guy, easy to talk to and definitely knows hair. I told him what I wanted - to pull my bangs straight forward without looking like a sheepdog and a trim everywhere else - and he knew exactly where to go from there. He suggested a razor cut instead of a scissor cut, I told him to go with whatever he thought would be best and it turned out great. They also have a 7 day guarantee, which I think is excellent. I've left salons before happy with the cut (especially because they've just styled it) but once I get it washed and back to 'normal', I'm no longer satisfied. I think this is a great way to ensure customers are truly satisfied with their experience here. He also did an excellent job on my eyebrows! I'm looking forward to coming back! read more

They let her drop in with no appointment, fixed her bangs, and made her very happy. They are really nice people, too. She will definitely be going back there for any future hair appointments. I went to Rebecca Lynn Studio based on Yelp reviews. I was looking for something affordable, simple and low-key. I was originally told my appointment was with Rebecca but Dan ended up cutting my hair. Rebecca informed me to bring cash when I made my appointment. I forgot to ask about parking though and street parking was difficult to find. RLS is located at a busy intersection too so plan accordingly and give yourself extra time. Dan was very friendly, attentive and gave good hair advice. He gave me the cut I wanted and showed me the minor changes he added which was less than half an inch of trimming some layers for a fuller look. Major bummer: I left with damp hair. I've never left a salon with damp hair before and I'm not a fan. My hair looks radically different blow dried vs. air dried. I recall one of the reviews on here stated that but I'm really surprised that more people either don't care or haven't shared that their hair wasn't fully blow-dried. I guess this is the first time I've experienced a haircut that is truly only hair cut with some blow drying on your scalp. I have long hair and most of my hair was still damp when I left. The price is affordable at $25 and took less than 30 minutes, but I would have paid a few more dollars for dry hair. Maybe I will update this post once I wash and blow dry my hair and really see my cut. Update: it's a good cut. Upgraded from 3 to 4 Stars. Tip for future clients, insist on getting your hair fully blow dried. I regret that I didn't and that's on me. read more

Dan cut my hair for the first time this week, and it is by far the best haircut I have had in years. I have long, wavy hair with bangs. After an in-depth consultation, Dan cleaned up my bangs and used a razor to give me long layers in the back. My hair is now lighter and has lots of bounce. Thanks fellow Yelppers for directing me towards Rebecca Lynn Studio. I was able to get in the same day, got an amazing hair cut (with style and shampoo) within 30 minutes, and the cost was only $23. I didn't see Dan, but (was it Rebecca?) the other stylist took one look at the photos I brought in and went to work creating a hair cut that made me very happy. Plus, I didn't have any hair on my face. You know the stylist is good when they care enough not to cut your hair in your face. Let me start off by saying that the owners are very nice; however, I would not advise getting your hair colored here. I asked for an ombré, had pictures, and we spent 15 minutes discussing what I wanted and how to "save me money" at the same time. Note, I have brown hair. The stylist went through and bleached strands of my hair with foil. From the way he talked, he sounded like he had a decent handle so I let him work but I was curious because he was bleaching my hair all the way to the roots...not how an ombré works. After I sat for a bit he washed my hair out. His friend was there and very loudly asked if it was supposed to look like that and I responded by saying he wasn't done. Turns out he was! He started drying it (he did not dry it all the way)... I looked like Frankenstein's bride with streaky bleached hair. Wasn't natural looking at all like I had asked. He saw I was panicking and said he could make it more subtle. At this point I was almost crying. I asked for him to tone it so it wasn't so extreme. He went through and toned it. While I was sitting there waiting for the color to set, he wrote down the price...$120, fine I get that stuff like this gets expensive. The real kicker was after he rinsed it out. He literally just offered me a blow dryer...are you f*#king kidding me?? $120 and you aren't going to dry and style my hair?? I've never even heard of such a thing! Nice people, horrible, horrible service. At the end it still looks like I just had a shitty highlight job. They do make very pretty jewelry and tables...hair, not so much. Never again. read more

He got the color right... again! Dan has highlighted my hair twice now and in both cases, I was very pleased. He took the time to listen to me explain what I wanted and then took the time to make sure he delivered what I described. In a perfect world, this would happen all the time. But in reality, coloring hair is a tricky and difficult thing to do. It requires skill, patience and an ability to create an outcome that is based - at least partially - on intuition. It was my first time at this salon along with a large group of friends we went there this weekend for updos. Let me just start by saying, the owners were extremely rude. Not only where the updos rushed through and poorly done our appointment was scheduled until 3pm and we were rushed out of the salon at 1:30 I will not be returning to the salon I will also be sharing my experience with family and friends.
