I'll be honest, I only came to this store for the cat I saw in reviews, stayed for the dog though. It was really a cute store, lots of unique and vintage tech and random trinkets. Owner was very nice and accommodating from what I overheard. Every sign had a little joke or sarcastic note on it which added a certain charm to the store. Everything was priced pretty reasonably. All in all a cool place to drop into. The dog was so sweet and friendly while the cat was still warming up to people but if you spend a couple minutes with just her, she'll be purring.

Really cool shop! Employees are nice and helpful, also there is a very cute cat in the furniture section of this place. I also really enjoy the inventory they carry here, everything is interesting and you can tell whoever curates this place genuinely cares about it :)

Justin and the recently adopted kitty, Missy are fantastic! Great and wonderful finds in this special antique store! Will definitely be back!

I have an antique rotary phone that needed some love and wasn't working correctly.... Called numerous "phone" places for help, and kept getting turned down.... Finally luck on my side and after a quick chat was encouraged to drop in. Thank God, these guys know their stuff! Within the time I shopped around the store, Evan had my telephone fixed up and I had a VERY reasonable 30 min labor charge (as well as a few extra items that I found while browsing). Truly, Justin and Evan are amazing and I highly recommend supporting this business.

So of course I needed a wall clack for my wife's birthday THE DAY BEFORE HER BIRTHDAY...haha Found this little gem on the wall, the owner was very nice, personable, and very knowledgeable about the items in his shop. You can tell he takes pride in his shop and is a good businessman :) Lord of street parking on both sides of the street (went in at 4pm on a Friday) Great shop, tons of hidden gems, and reasonable prices :) Excited to go back and I highly recommend this place!!

center stone faded after repairman torched it

i brought a bracelet in to get re-soldered on recommendation from another shop. got this bracelet from my grandmother and had it a long time. the repairman Bryan butchered the job, bent the piece that needed to be re-soldered and didn't even close the break. worse than that, the stone on the broken piece is a dull grey color now instead of the blue it was when i dropped it off. seems to me he torched the stone and just broke the piece worse. then called me in and tried to charge me $25 for it. do not bring meaningful jewelry here for repair.

Thought it was a pretty cool spot before I saw black face salt and paper shakers for sale.

Whole place just burned. Sending love to the owners. I loved that place, hope it doesn't turn into a apartment complex or something.

Service: friendly staff!…read more Selection: so much from 70's antique dishes, 80's and up. Antique toys, magazines, books, clothes & so much more. Value: I don't know about the value too much. I understand Antique but they has Ducks T-Shirts priced for $35... a bit steep. The only downtown was I bought a western like jacket and 2 rings... and they didn't pay attention to the price tag, as it was marked down from $76 to $62. I had already made it home before I noticed :( There's a lot to do here. Chess, photo opportunities and just tons of browsing! They have an area where you can grab coffee and some pastries & chill. A library you can rent for meetings. Bathrooms are upstairs and are co-ed.

You walk in thinking ten minutes will do, then suddenly an hour slips through because every trinket begs a second glance, every relic hums a quiet romance. Pick it up, read the tag, feel the age in your hand in the grand dusty stacks of "oldness," a hidden gem might take its stand. Classy as a Victorian clock and twice as charming, this place earns kudos for disarming. Bring a friend, bring your folks, bring whoever loves the dance of discovery because exploring these nostalgic nooks feels almost like flipping pages of history. It's a quaint little trip through the past, a daydream dressed in antique lace and shine; a cute way to spend the day, strolling backward through time, where even a forgotten story feels suddenly worth a dime.

I remember Shogun's Gallery on NW 23rd. They relocated to a warehouse as the street gentrified -…read moretheir old spot is a vacant lot. The original family who brought beautiful items from Japan have now largely passed the business to a younger person. I was strolling the neighborhood when a signboard announced an open day. Usually they are by appointment or voice call for entry. If you need their stuff, which you do, make an appointment or voice call for entry. They are on the 3rd floor of a clean warehouse with an elevator. They collect in Japan and ship their own containers. They have household ceramics, some tansu, some beautiful scroll landscape paintings, tools, tables, Japanese clothing, "go boards", sculptures, iron teapots, and more. Northern Japan is akin to Northwest USA and adjacent BC in climate and native culture. The native people in Japan are the Ainu and I visited their cultural center in Japan. Shogun's had on my visit collection of wood sculptures maybe 18-24" by 12" by 12" of bears catching salmon. It's in my pictures. Yes, Northern Japan has salmon! It is an Ainu native food. I have been known to haunt Japanese antique sales in Seattle. Some of the Shogun's items are very, very reasonably priced. I would recommend anyone interested in Japanese antiques, as seen by the photos, to visit by appointment and follow their announcements and other sales channels. The Northwest has a long relationship with Japan, Portland has a long and continuing relationship with Japan. If you want a little antique Japan in your living space or as a gift, Shogun's is a must-visit!
