Very fun spot, if you are into "dark" stuff. I know for a fact that this place is haunted. I didn't really see any paranormal activity myself, but with the items they have on display......yeah, it's haunted. The temperature in the back area was cold, compared to the main entrance which appeared to be warmer. If you know the significance of cold rooms regarding paranormal activity, you know what I'm talking about. There were a lot of interesting displays and fun things to read. The place was not very big, but I still had a good time. The staff was great, the selection was as on pint and the value of place was legit. This is a curios shop with, if you want to pay for the mini-museum experience, has some interesting and eclectic exhibits. The front of the store is like a mystically themed gift shop with incense, tarot, teas, clothing, and t-shirts. The back of the store is the mini museum with a variety of historical, mystical, and macabre items on display. Most of the things you would expect to see (e.g., haunted toys, vampires, and ouija boards) are on display. It's self-directed but the staff is nice if you need them or have questions. I found the place a little bit small compared with other comparably priced amusement places, it takes about 45 minutes to walk through, but the displays are unique. Overall, if you are in the area it's a fun tourist destination or if you want some off-color gifts for your gothy daughter or ghoul-friend. read more

What am incredible collection of odd and fascinating items. I loved the haunted doll and the vampire section, but it was so hard to pick just one exhibit. The traveling exhibit of a giant horned troll in the closet, gave me pause (especially nice touch to have the child drawings on the wall). Fun workers, crazy stuff in the gift shoppe. I'll tell you if you like strange and bizarre, mystical and dark, or even just a great collection of old canvas oil paintings. This is a must on your Portland tour. read more

Really nice folks here, and very interesting. The gift shop is wonderful and very reasonably priced. Rather you have $10 dollars or $200, there's something cool for everyone. I especially thought the mice were so cute and creepy-fun. Museum is well done and has a good mix of authentic and replica items. Really liked the explanations of each object. I also think kids would like it too, not a blood and guts shock place, but educational and historical. Pics are not great, but photos are welcome, which is cool. Would go again and also stop to check out the gifts. Also, for folks with mobility issues, super accessible and a really nice ramp and restroom! read more

We stopped in here while sight seeing when we were in town and I am so glad we did! This is such a cool place. There is so much to see. Admission is $15 and the museum did not disappoint. So many cool things to see. Make sure you give yourself time to look at everything! The Vampire History section was really cool but the Uranium Glass was my favorite part. Absolutely beautiful! The shop was so fun! There is something for everyone. The Mischief Mouserie vendor was my absolute favorite! There were so many cute mice it was really hard to choose one but I came home with a vampire mouse lol. 10 out of 10 recommend this place! read more

This is a great shop! A little more oddity for Portland. There are things for purchase as well as a collection you pay to view in the museum. Having been to the death museum in Nola, and several other macabre museums/shops and places of the sort I'd say it provides a good variety for the entry fee. The gifts for purchase are reasonably priced and it appears they work with local Portland artists as well, love that. Owners were very friendly and inviting. It's pdx parking can be a challenge of course. read more

Glad we stopped by this place! Lots of artifacts and historical oddities ranging from ancient folklore, the paranormal, cultural practices, scientific oddities, etc. I can appreciate how the information was given in a factual and objective context rather than trying to sucker people into believing urban legends. It's not huge so I would urge visitors to take their time and check out everything there is to see, it'll take you around 20-40 minutes depending on how curious you are. read more

We went last year while we were in town and came back again this year to find they had moved to a bigger location. Very nice change. They have an oddities museum now you can visit for $13. Some pretty cool stuff in there. Will come again next time we come to town. read more

Love, love, love this place! There are so many unique and intricate pieces displayed in the museum. Admission is only $13 per person which is a heck of a deal. The staff is all very welcoming and answered any questions we had. The gift shop has tons of cool things to choose from to bring back a price of the strange and beautiful. Their new location downtown is even better. I have been meaning to drop in and was not at all disappointed! I even got to be their last customer for 2023. The cats took out the tree successfully breaking a whole lot of ornaments so finding a box of wonderful ones here make my little black heart sing. I even got a discount for it being after the holidays. I also found two gorgeous pieces of photography I am excited to frame and hang. read more

Amazing to see such a tiny shop from Belmont neighborhood could grow to be a FULL museum! Just the merch area in the front of the store is impressive with a lot of local talent items. There's jewelry, shirts, candles, and all sorts of dark and eerie things to pick from here. For the museum itself, it's really worth checking out. Artifacts from a hundred years ago still intact and well preserved. They have props from different movies including Killer Klowns From Outer Space! The whole experience was extra creepy and I couldn't have asked for a cooler odditorium. read more

Everything in here is so cool. There's info and exhibits on gargoyles, vampires, skulls, clowns, fortune telling, folklore, medical and victorian history and more, and even a krampus once you come out of the exhibit (fun to take your picture with!)... They also have a great oddities gift shop (which you can visit without going to the exhibit); they even had a great section with seasonal pagan books I really loved. Very cute museum and gift shop. $15 will get you a self guided tour of the museum. It was all very creepy and I am sure there is more than one haunted object here. Employees were friendly and helpful. The items for sale seemed a bit expensive, but a lot of it had hard work put into creating the item. I would not recommend this for children who are easily scared. read more

This is a real cool place. Lots of oddities. They had a couple of tents outside that we weren't able to participate in for a fee. One I believe was a psychic. (Apologies if there's a different word for phsychic that's more PC that I should be using). A lot of pieces are priced on the high side. But not to say they're not priced appropriately high. I've just never had to buy goat hearts and what not and have never had to price them out. But seriously, this place is awesome. Have an open mind and be respectful. read more

I had tried to find all the vintage and oddity places I could, and stumbled upon Skeleton Key. I didn't expect the place to be as small as it was, but they have tastefully set up their items here well, and looks like a lot of thought was put into it . Some items seem to be on the high side, but I still enjoyed seeing them up close. They had great music playing too, that fits well with the place. I would recommend to anyone looking for unusual places to visit. read more

I'd you're into spooky stuff they have a lot of cool books, vintage spooky items, and also wet specimens/taxidermy. the prices for those things seemed very reasonable and they're all ethically sourced. we didn't do the museum portion which cost money but I would like to in the future. the people working were very kind as well! read more

The odditorium has an incredibly interesting and unique collection of, well, oddities! Ranging from macabre to curious to beautiful it's a fun place to explore. It combines a museum with a store of mostly locally made and handcrafted items. Highly recommended to take your out of town visitors to show them how wonderfully weird Portland is.
