If you want to listen to a bit of light-hearted pop music, both current chart toppers and other contemporary classic hits, then Real Radio isn't a bad choice.
Aimed at 25-54 year olds, it's an independent local radio that broadcasts on FM from Morganstown in Cardiff right across South and West Wales. It does have a slightly cheesy tone - as do most local radio stations - but the music is easy to listen to and their news bulletins are pretty good, combining some national and showbiz stories, and some local news. They also sometimes run some decent competitions, and have regular features such as 'Pop the Question' every weekday (on the mid morning show) when they ask a set of questions, and listeners call in with their answers - with the chance to win a prize (such as a DAB digital radio) if they get them right. read more
