I relocated to Macon, GA to complete a fellowship at a nearby hospital, so the Lofts at Navicent…read moreappealed to me in many ways. I was always working, so the in-unit W&D, cable/wifi ready, valet trash services, etc. were what sealed the deal for me. Those little things that I didn't have time to do myself allowed me to focus on my career. I find it difficult to rate 5 stars for anything, as nothing is perfect, and there is always room for improvement. I was one of the first residents to move into the building during the summer of 2017. For this review, 4 stars is warranted, and I will share my thoughts below. Initially, I was pleased with the customer service I received, but there were some major hiccups with one of the previous Property Managers, Kaeleigh C. Kaeleigh's behavior was unprofessional to the extent that she berated me to another coworker INSIDE my apartment, which my home security footage caught. I still have the footage, btw. I don't care if you insult me outside of work or in the leasing office, but do not disrespect me or violate my privacy IN my home. In my opinion, Kaeleigh was in over her head, and dealing with doctors/lawyers/etc. is not where she would excel. I say this as a clinical psychologist, too. I immediately reported this to the highest in charge, after intentionally being given the incorrect information by Kaeleigh. I was very impressed by the way the situation was handled (Kaeleigh was not involved in the process), and she was fortunately assigned to another property). This was not the sole issue that arose pertaining to Kaeleigh's inability to function in this type of position or environment, but it was the issue that stands out most in my mind, and I believe the public should be aware of the types of people they let enter their homes, their private spaces that should not be the subject of unprofessional banter. On the other hand, Alex P., far exceeded the new position that she assumed when Kaeleigh left. Alex was on point, she had excellent communication scales, and she made my time at Lofts at Navicent much more pleasurable. As for the building, it is/was brand new, and I do believe the floors are too thin, and the building is a bit "too pet friendly." Noise, voices, animals, television, etc. can be heard from down the hall. I was in the corner, floor-to-ceiling windows, unit, and I could feel the resident in the apartment below me walking around in her apartment, as my floors vibrated. I could also hear everything. I am used to living in real lofts with other types of noises, but aside from expressing my concerns, not much could be done. I would have been more upset if a baby lived near me (no offense, new caregivers). Overall, I did enjoy my time at Lofts at Navicent, and I would recommend to those who are comfortable with the aforementioned quirks of the building.

Extremely bad property management company. Heritage management does a horrible job at managing…read more units for landlords it has cost me about $50,000 in losses and damages working with them for 4 months. My point of contact "Melissa" would find every excuse to avoid servicing units. She refused to list our units in the market because she had her own "requirements" for showings. These requirements had heritage's contractor "brad" to make $10,000 in repairs per door which when asked to break down the price, they tried to charge me $300 to clean the tub, $1,000 to remove leaves from the gutter, and $5,000 in cosmetics that I fixed for $200 (paint and brushes) When fixed Melissa refused to list the properties and market them for tenants. So I flew out to GA and check what the issue was only to be told she couldn't meet me and give me a reason why other properties weren't listed. Over time, she held my funds tenants were paying rent hostage, and charged me $1,000-2,000 in "labor" from Brad (even though I purposely said not to use Brad) and took $3,500 out of $4,000 in funds for her company without consent. As of today, I removed her from management 45 days ago and barely sent me a check for $436 (despite having $4,000) The rent collected was also from tenants I explicitly placed, but she called our tenants and tried to show them other properties despite her not doing any work in marketing the properties. HERITAGE IS VERY BAD - MELISSA IS A HORRIBLE EMPLOYEE AND THEIR CONTRACTOR OVER CHARGES ON BASIC WORK THAT MAKES LANDLORDS NOT WANT TO SERVICE TENANTS. A lot of landlords have left heritage, and have experienced similar issues.

Then the uncertainty with COVID19 unfolded. If it wasn't for Matthew, I would have stopped my search, waited for who knows how long and ultimately would not have found my perfect first home. Matthew was a steady and knowledgable agent through the uncertainty caused by COVID19. He was so kind and took the time to walk me through each step of buying a home. He always made himself available to answer my many questions and to reassure me when I was nervous. I was working under a very fixed budget and I was very strict about the area of Atlanta that I wanted to live. My budget and this area did not usually align. Sometimes, it felt like we were looking for a needle in a haystack. But, Matthew searched and searched for the perfect, "move-in ready" place. This time last month, I didn't even know this house existed. Thanks to Matthew and his tireless searches, I was able to view this house and put in an offer the day it came on the market. He kept me updated and well informed on all of the procedures that are involved when buying a home. And, this turned into a multiple offer situation. Matthew was able to give me great advice which led to the sellers selecting my offer. His knowledge of the offer process and his negotiating skills are the reason why I was able to buy this house! After my offer was selected, it was a very smooth process. Matthew kept me in the loop on what was going on and what I needed to do. This made for a very, stress-free closing, even amidst COVID19. I cannot recommend Matthew enough as an agent!!

You would think with the name that they carry that you…read morewouldn't have to move every little rug, picture or piece of furniture because the "staged" view is hiding something bad, very bad. Yet, if I ever, EVER buy a property that this company has their name on, I'm doing just that. Not only that, on the initial viewing, I'm going to treat it as a hidden problems they hope that won't be found. On closing the old gal sat there with her neck vertibre sinking, hair colored too dark, teeth that were oddly scary and cheap,fake jewelry decorating her person. I only have the worst of opinion of THAT agent which reflects the agency as a whole. I think the problem is too many agents in too small a pond. Any property that bears this name will be either passed over by me or viewed as second-rate. I say that as my opinion due to property that they represented. When you buy a property, you are in part buying the expertise of the buying and selling agents. You shouldn't be hooked into the tricks used to get someone to sign on the so called dotted line.
