Very disappointing experience. I would not hire this electrician again…read more I hired Andrew and his team to rewire a house during a major renovation. Unfortunately, the project became extremely frustrating because of poor workmanship, repeated scheduling problems, poor material management, and a lack of follow-through. 1. Work repeatedly had to be checked and corrected. After I was told the rough-in work was finished, I found multiple wires still not properly connected at the electrical panel and several outlets without power. I reported the issues and was told they would be fixed, but after multiple return visits, I was still finding unresolved problems. The HVAC/heat-pump wiring was another example. The indoor unit required 208/230V, but it was connected incorrectly. I specifically brought this to Andrew's attention. He told me they needed to check the manufacturer label, even though the required voltage was clearly printed on the unit. Later I was told it had been corrected. Because of the previous problems, I checked it myself again and found that it was still only getting approximately 110V. They had to come back yet again. What bothered me most was that I could not rely on being told that something was "finished." I repeatedly had to go to the property myself, test the work, take pictures, and report the same or additional problems. 2. Poor material and job-site management. During rough-in, light fixtures that were intended to be installed later were left at the construction site while many other trades were still working. By the time we reached the trim stage, some fixtures could not be located and others were dirty, so I had to purchase additional fixtures. The electrical panel cover was also not installed and later could not be found. I eventually had to purchase another panel/cover just to get the correct cover. 3. Scheduling was extremely unreliable. Before the trim stage, I specifically asked Andrew how much advance notice he needed. He told me about one week. I scheduled approximately 10 days in advance. Despite that, the trim work dragged on for more than two weeks. On one scheduled Friday, I took the entire day off because his crew was supposed to come in the morning. Nobody showed up in the morning. Someone finally arrived in the afternoon, looked around, accomplished very little, and left. Similar scheduling problems happened repeatedly. Yet later I was told that the delays were because I had not scheduled early enough, which did not match our written messages. 4. Even minor inspection corrections took far too long. After the inspection, only relatively small corrections remained. Instead of resolving them promptly, different people came to the property multiple times, and the process dragged on for roughly two months before everything was finally completed. 5. The final stage was especially frustrating. My house was preparing to go on the market, so I repeatedly explained that completing the electrical work was time-sensitive. Instead of focusing on resolving the outstanding issues, near the end I was told that I needed to pay the remaining contract balance before they would continue the work. This was particularly frustrating because throughout the project, whenever Andrew sent me an invoice for completed work, I paid promptly. I was not someone who had repeatedly failed to pay him. I understand that renovation projects can have unexpected issues and that mistakes can happen. My problem was not one isolated mistake. It was the pattern: work being called finished when it was not, me discovering problems myself, repeated return visits, poor scheduling, missing materials, and a lack of ownership when problems needed to be corrected. I have photos and text-message records documenting the timeline and many of the issues described above. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.
