An elderly man came in early…read moreto get his shopping done before it got busy and buy breakfast ingredients for that day, not knowing that apparently your only choice is self check out before 9am. He advised this would be hard for him as the shopping itself was a struggle. The clerk advised he could self check out or wait 30 minutes until 9 am to get his groceries. She wouldn't even help him self check out....how shameful, where is any form of customer service and respect for our elders. I was ashamed over hearing the interaction and blatant disregard for the assistance he needed. This poor old man left with no groceries after the 35 minutes he stated it took him to shop for his groceries. Safeway would rather you leave empty handed than show any courtesy, customer service, or respect. Shame on you Safeway, do better.

They take card so you don't have to have cash. They price it all by the pound and can weigh it when you go up to check out. The only thing I got here that was ripening way too quick we're the mangos and I think it's because they just sit out. So those were super soft and when I got in the car and ate one, it was definitely too soft and going bad. A suggestion I have though is discounting fruit as like a special of the day or something if it's going bad that way you can get rid of it faster without wasting it. The mangoes were 4/$5 but had I known they were too ripe I wouldn't have gotten them.
