Moved back to Windsor after living in London for the past five years and we shopped at the Superstore there; so I decided to do some grocery shopping on my day off and come here, and the last time I remembered, this location was a Zehrs, changing it to a Superstore was a good move, students can get 10% discounts on Tuesdays with a valid college or university student card and the Superstore price matches other major grocery stores. The inside of this place hasn't changed a bit, still small shops and the Pizza Way is still there, go figure!
I went on a Wednesday morning around 11:00am with my dad, and we went our separate ways. The produce section is a bit smaller than what I am used to from London and they didn't have stock of baby spinach that I usually get at the Superstore, I proceeded with my list. I just had to get used to where everything was, and I was able to get a lot of what was on my list. Their selection of most items are not as vast, but that's okay. I still found what I was looking for.
I love that the Superstore price matches major retail brands such as Sobey's, Metro, Food Basics, and no Frills, just to name a few. I use the Flipp app and it makes it super easy to walk into the store, find a sale on the app with the item that you need. When cashing out the cashier was super friendly and talkative and I made sure I had all my price matched items at the end to make it easier, if you have the PC Plus card or the PC Plus Mastercard, then you can easily earn points enough for a free grocery shopping spree!
The location isn't bad, the selection was okay, not the cleanest grocery store. Being a Zehrs at one point, they didn't accommodate for the Superstore's larger size and vast quantity of items you can find. Their produce was fresh, the bread was fresh in the bakery, and they had everything I needed. I'm going to assume the best time to go for sales is the first day of their new weekly flyer, otherwise if there's an item that you wanted, you may be S.O.L read more
