This continues to be our go-to grocery store. While I haven't forgotten the unfortunate mis-priced incident or the way it was handled (including a Superstore employee writing threatening comments to me on Yelp) I do recognize that was just one person and not reflective of the company as a whole. I've really loved how the Joe Fresh line has continued to evolve here and the clothing has become a staple in our household. We will continue to be regulars for the amazing PC Green Brand Cat Litter as well as produce and Harvest Grains Protein Bread. I love the staff so much especially Christine, she is one remarkable person & takes such good care of me. Dear St Albert Superstore, I have been shopping at your store since it opened. I was originally attracted by the reasonable and in some cases low prices .In the last 4 or 5 years I have been impressed, maybe the better word is awed, by the kindness, generosity and knowledge of the staff at the St. Albert store. The cashiers like Rose ,Lisa and Cathy have all been very helpful whenever I have been there. The bakery crew of Melinda, Keri, a small Chinese woman and two Moslem women have been extremely generous with their time and advice. It wasn't until I moved to St. Albert that I started shopping at Superstore. Not that I am snotty (reputations be damned) I just recently had my kids begin to eat more food as they grow past their toddler stage. My impression is but what you can at Costco and supplement the additional products here. The clothes are great, the selection for house/home is decent but overpriced and the seasonal is best when buying after the fact for next year. If I were to write about the Pharmacy however I may teach people a few new swear words....go somewhere else as a rule with Superstore and you will likely be better off. The service or system is broken here with and I just admit defeat and go to Safeway as we have two coverage plans. The service is better and the drugs probably are too .... I don't need to lose my freaking mind over my liver no name pills that eventually get recalled. read more

I used to love going there. It was easy to find what you wanted but then they changed the place. Made it more like at Wal-Mart, shortened up the rows and removed some product so they could put more deals at the end of the rows. I can't find anything now. That's why I removed one star. If you're searching for a great service you better go at Safeway, if you're searching for choices and things you can't find at other places go to Save-On (I find they're the most expensive), but if you want the cheapest price this one is in the top to get good prices. It's clean, you still have good choices, prices are good, there's a pharmacy in it, toilets and any things you need for the house you'll pretty much find it there. I recommend this place for doing your grocery even after the changes. read more

I've been to many branches of this chain and can count on them for good prices on most groceries, plus a wide variety of household goods, beauty products, drugstore items, inexpensive clothing (great for babies and toddlers in particular) - pretty much anything you want in one-stop convenience. There are some sites I would not return to, such as Clareview, but the St Albert location is always clean, well-stocked and tidy. Checkout here is much quicker and more efficient, as opposed to some other sites where it becomes a tedious chore, so I don't mind popping in for a few things or for a full shopping list. Bring your eco-bags if you don't want to pay for plastic - it's good to see that most customers there come prepared. It's also handy that PC Bank has an ATM inside as well as staff to help you open a free account or sort out problems. read more

The manager here is a BIG asshole, treated me horribly when I tried to deal with an item recall. He talked down to me in front of other customers and employees and he treated one of his employees poorly right in front of me. She was actually trying to help me out with the situation. Anyway I haven't had any other issues here, but makes me angered enough to not go here anymore. read more

This is my favourite grocery store for many reasons. Superstore has been my number one choice for many years due to their lower prices, especially on name brand items, and some of the unique in-house selections. There are countless original President's Choice (their in-house brand) items of food products that aren't the just the trendy flavours some of their creations even help to set the trends. For example their President's Choice Deluxe white cheddar Mac and Cheese is, in my opinion, far superior to the fan favourite Kraft Mac and Cheese. The store seems to have about three prices for many of their food products that they cycle and knowing these cycles can greatly help getting the best deal. Many prices on some items are even as good or better than Costco on those items without the membership cost. They also have a lot more than groceries. While some of their clothing can be hit or miss in terms of quality overall you can't go wrong. I have a heavy terrycloth bathrobe that is still going strong after 14yrs of almost daily use. Not bad for a $15 clearance purchase lol. I actually like bringing my own bags as it cuts down on the crazy amount of plastic bags I had cluttering my home. I have also started using cashiers more to combat the disturbing trend of losing even more jobs to automation. So bring your own bags and start bargain hunting and maybe try a new crazy flavour of President's Choice frozen lasagna and PC Elk Crossing ice cream. You'll be glad you did. read more

I asked a tall dark haired young man in the meat dept. if he would re-wrap the roast of meat I wanted as it was bloody on both ends when he finally came back with the roast I had chose & quickly disappeared again that same piece of meat was now almost $2.00 more what the any way I was then mad & just put it back & left with half the things I was going to buy because with out the meat I didn't need the rest so that young man cost the store an extra $40-$50.00 read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have used their click and collect service for over five months and other than them forgetting some of my groceries more times than not, I stuck with it. I enjoy being able to control the amount I spend as I am on a tight budget. This week they double withdrew from my account. When I contacted them about it, they advised it could take up to seven days for a refund, so not only can they not tell me why this time it was different but they claim they can't get me a refund any sooner. Apparently when you make millions you don't realize the customers don't have extra money to be taken from their account and then wait around for a refund for a week. My mother and I went for groceries the other day, everything went fine until we got to the checkout. There was a till, the lift was on, there was no sign up, we had assumed the cashier had just gone over to ask a quick question to one of their supervisors. But nope. We stood there for a few minutes, waiting patiently, looking over at the THREE cashier/supervisor/customer service reps who were talking amongst themselves and staring back at us. I finally had to walk over, break up their conversation to ask them if any one of them was working the till that was clearly open. They said no, said 'mmm she should be there' and I said 'well she's not' and walked back to my mom and then finally a girl came up. I work in a grocery store too, and this shit would not fly. Bad customer service at the checkout, very disappointed and embarrassed for the owner for sure. read more

Stopped at St. Albert superstore, picked up some groceries, when I got to the cashier, she asked how many bags I wanted, told her two, she rang up my groceries, told me how much the total was, I was bagging everything and she kept telling me the total, She saw that I had a hard time because my one hand is sort of handicapped. You'd think she would help, but no, she just kept telling me what the total was. I told her that I was trying to bag my purchases. she said, "well, this is an express lane". So what?. Being ignorant and rude is no excuse. I was on the verge of just telling her I didn't want the stuff. I noticed the sign after that it said 1 - 12 express, and I had a whole 16 items. No line up. I like how you can measure the prices per basic unit. It makes for excellent compariosn shopping, not to mention the lower prices for just about anything. They don't always have everything found at more expensive grocery stores; however, I can save $500/year minimum shopping there. Plus, home items and January sales are excellent. I just read the other review that was written and I needed to write one of my own, I was out doing my usual shopping and I tend to choose the yellow no name brand because I get the most of what I need at a reasonable price and have done so for a long while so naturally I've become a bit complacent and grab what I usually do. I had my daughter with me and was teaching her what the good deals were actetera when I was chosing the frozen juice, I noticed that the same one that I always chose for yrs. has now been altered in size, Its smaller in quantity but the price is higher. This up set me because for the one that is offered doesnt make the same amount. There fore I have to buy twice as much and spend twice as much to get the original amount that I used to get. Not cool!!!!! So this begs the question how many other things has this happened to and how much more am I being cheated with other yellow brand products that I havent dicovered yet?!!!!! This store bostes that you get the most for your money but do you really? pretty slimmy of you superstore! buyer be ware for shure. You just lost a long time customer as well as everyone that I know.And probably there friends and family too! Did you really think we wouldn't figure it out!!!!!
