In the first session, I felt intense pain and expressed it to the technician. I was told the pain is normal in the beginning of the process and with consistency the pain will subside. However, that was not the case. I completed 6 sessions and the pain continued. I was then told it is due to the scarred tissue from having 2 c-sections which the owner was aware of from my consultation with her. I requested an alternate package but was told by the owner that she has a no exchange policy but she will spread out my sessions to monthly. I did not agree to this and asked to just get merchandise (full body shapewear and a heat cream; total value $170) instead and to cancel my remaining 4 sessions which equal the value of $500 ($125 per session). She wouldn't accommodate that either, so I decided to take the loss since she also stated she had a no refund policy as well and requested that my information be discarded as I will not be returning. I am disappointed in how unaccommodating the owner is with her clients as she is the one making recommendations for them. The owner gives the impression that she cares more about money than her clients, extremely unprofessional. Don't waste your time or money!

She will book your appoitment and then try to squeeze another appoitment in between where you will end up waiting longer. Besides that, they try to make up for the lateness by taking away time from your procedure because they are late for the next client. I will definitely not be back to this place for more packages. It has not healed in weeks. They insisted I come in to the store to inspect in person , which I did. In spite of that they have the audacity to say I "believe" there was a reaction. This shows how sensitive they are to their customers. If they really care about the customer service, then refund me my money. Do they really think I would come back to this place for waxing after the experience I've had. This should tell people how this place cares about their customers. I am beyond disappointed and furious with my laser hair removal experience at Dare to Be Bare in Hartsdale! The technician never fully explained the potential risks or complications and instead kept assuring me that the treatment was safe and effective for my skin type, claiming most clients see little to no hair regrowth after completing their sessions. During the treatment, I experienced intense burning and pain, which I voiced immediately. I was told, "Your skin doesn't feel hot, so you're fine." That couldn't have been more wrong. I followed all aftercare instructions as provided, but just days later, my skin turned very dark and visibly burned. When I reached out to the owner to request a refund, not only did she dismissed my injuries, but she also refused to take any accountability. I received zero support, no empathy, and no refund--just a cold response that this was a "normal skin reaction" and I should have read the contract. I trusted this place with my skin and relied on their professional guidance. Instead, I was left with lasting damage and no sense of responsibility from their side.
