I won't get into details that are long and exhausting but I received a letter about updating my life policy saying I was entitled to renew the $50,000. Policy without underwriting. When I went to the office I was told the letter was wrong, that I wouldn't be eligible for no more than $10,000. I received three additional letters none of which were an apology. I've never felt so insulted, and I feel they should stand by a loyal customer and honor their letter. I've had my Auto, life for us both and our homeowners with Erie all these years, and although I think we pay too much we remained loyal. If you are looking for insurance stay away from Erie Insurance unless you want the same treatment. When I took out all of these policies it was with the understanding that I would pay my premiums on time or be cancelled, that is is in writing. So why do they not uphold a written letter that came from their company. Ungrateful company with bad practices!

The receptionist was extremely friendly and checked me in quickly and pointed me to the correct waiting area. I was second in line and didn't wait long at all before a Ms. Smith (forget the first name) called me to her desk. When I explained to her what I needed, you could instantly tell she wasn't very interested in helping me. I emailed the will sent to me by our JAG office and she printed it out and read it over. I needed just two witnesses in order for this process to be completed and in an office of over at least 10/15 people, I thought that wouldn't be a problem... after all it is a service they are supposed to provide. Before even looking to see if any of her co-workers were free, Ms Smith told me that because I didn't come with any witnesses there wasn't much she could do for me. She said that I could wait, but wasn't sure how long it would be. I explained to her that I am leaving in less than a week and have a whole apartment I needed to pack and move so I would go elsewhere, which I did. Thankfully Lynn's notary in Palmer was able to help out (despite it being a much smaller office). This is the second issue I have had here over my 11 year membership. AAA is absolutely pathetic and the only people that make the membership worth it are their on road services teams.
