(no points or anything for either of us on our licenses by the way) We have paid thousands of dollars in premiums for renters insurance, life, auto, etc. over our time with #statefarm but exceeded their "$1550 threshold" for auto claim payments. We even contested it with my agent's office and were turned down (through a nameless "underwriter"). My agent never even bothered to call us himself. My agent is #jimhabick in Easton PA. I wanted to let all of my friends know about my terrible experience. #jakefromstatefarm We have until May 1 to switch providers and I will undoubtedly be looking to move our renters and life policies due to this "Notice of Refusal to Renew". I've been with Erie Insurance Cooke agency for 35+ years, in fact we started our policies with Mr…read more Cooke. I won't get into details that are long and exhausting but I received a letter about updating my life policy saying I was entitled to renew the $50,000. Policy without underwriting. When I went to the office I was told the letter was wrong, that I wouldn't be eligible for no more than $10,000. I received three additional letters none of which were an apology. I've never felt so insulted, and I feel they should stand by a loyal customer and honor their letter. I've had my Auto, life for us both and our homeowners with Erie all these years, and although I think we pay too much we remained loyal. If you are looking for insurance stay away from Erie Insurance unless you want the same treatment. When I took out all of these policies it was with the understanding that I would pay my premiums on time or be cancelled, that is is in writing. So why do they not uphold a written letter that came from their company. Ungrateful company with bad practices!

This is incredibly unprofessional and just rude. Do NOT expect good service from this business.
