Kevin at Ready Jetter Plumbing was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had calcium build up in my sewer line, he was able to provide a solution with detailed reasoning. He helped me understand what to look for when getting quotes from other places. Ultimately I chose him over the other people because he clearly wanted to find the right solution and not just make a quick buck. He came out quickly to hydrojet the pipe and provided proof via camera that the calcium was broken up afterwards. I'd recommend this business overall! read more

Short version: Kevin and crew were professional, no nonsense, well informed and I trusted them. Kevin went the extra mile to save me money and find a solution... now the story. We had a terrible experience with a pair of different plumbers last year; they were in my home and I didn't feel safe with one of them who wouldn't talk, just roamed my basement with his sunglasses on. Then, outside, they discovered they didn't have an electric cord for the electric-powered pipe snake and would have to go back to the shop "and it's close to 5 so We don't know if we'll be back today because of traffic..." - but I'd still be charged for the visit. I lent them my professional 50 yard cord, joking that it would be a $300 rental... They ran a snake, pulled out some roots but I didn't receive a video as promised. As far as they were concerned, they cleared the pipe. Then, two days later, I noticed what I thought was garbage on the front lawn - they'd left the trap OPEN with cap a foot away, along with a giant wrench, dirty gloves near the house, a big filthy work mitten, wads of sewer gunk that they didn't dispose of, etc. I cleaned it up, replaced the cap in time for it to snow the next day and called (C) to pick up their tool. That was my experience BEFORE Ready Jetter. After research of several plumbers, I called Ready Jetter directly in the Spring of 2024, got a quote and hired them. The first trip included two younger men, George and Gavin (I think), very courteous, got the job done and sent us a video of our system. Unfortunately, in addition to root cracks at a few seams, there were concentric cracks that spiraled in. This meant any heavy pressure from above could collapse my sewage line, closing it to the street. However, instead of 20K to dig a trench/replace the pipe the old way, the owner/guy in charge (Kevin) suggested a PVC method I'd read about. You insert a loose tube of material that is basically raw PVC into the current pipe once it's been cleared and line it up underground. It slowly expands to the shape of the pipe, driven from the inside by air and heat, and is cured solid. The PVC may break the pipe it is replacing but that's ok - you have a new PVC pipe that covers former cracks/holes/leaks and it'll last a hundred years. It was a tenth of what I would have had to pay. But this wasn't easy! The original pipes had been installed with a T trap, making it impossible to get the plastic material inside the pipe. That took the second day as they tried and tried to make it work, but no success or charge. Our pipe was clean but vulnerable. In the meantime, Kevin pinged the inventor of this process, who was ironically about to release what we needed - a tool that could hook to the long tube of material with a strong wire. This was threaded through the pipe inside the house in the basement. Now they could get the material in place, expand it and make sure it was smooth with no interruption of the angle to the street. A gentle rain turned into a Michigan downpour but they kept going and cured it properly (see photo). Kevin was no nonsense, kept me well informed and I trusted him. I didn't need to hover or wait for results and they saved me a TON of money. The two young men were great and learning along the way, a well chosen crew, matching Kevin's integrity. I would highly recommend READY JETTER for this kind of issue. I don't know if they do all plumbing now, as they are pretty much specialists at this new method. Good luck to them and you!! read more

Kevin and Jon were great - we called them Monday night and they were out here the next day as promised. Extremely neat - actually wore booties so they would not dirty the floors or carpeting. Our previous sewer snake people failed to answer or return our call at 730 at night. Thank god for that! Ready Jetter answered promptly, and was more than accommodating to work around our work schedules and their own to get us taken care of the very next day. So, called at 730pm, 5 minute conversation, on site at our home and working by 230pm the next day. So hard to find that kind of availability nowadays. Kevin called 20 minutes before he arrived, showed up and after finding his access point, got straight to it. I'd seen a few videos on the line of how sewer jetting works and people doing it and thought "Well, it doesn't look that bad, messy sure, but ok" Hoo boy I can say it's a tough job now after watching Kevin struggle with our root problem. It definitely looked like it was working him over, but he never once gave up or slowed down. In the end it turned out we had a few massive root blockages in our sewer line, and at least 2 full inch think roots penetrating our pipe. Kevin and his equipment were able to destroy nearly every root, or at least completely cut them out of the way. He was able to fully alleviate our sewer backup and restore some peace to our home. Throughout his entire process he was honest, upfront, super friendly, and professional. I felt happy to pay him his reasonable quoted price, especially compared to some of the far less amiable and higher priced competition. On top of all this they provide a 1 year warranty against sewer backups and treat the line with a root killer. I've had two other companies come out, but they were either unwilling or unable, ( I'm not sure which), to address my problem. But these guys are great! Answered a ton of my questions on the phone, (whereas most companies will tell you they can't tell you anything until they come out and charge you a service call.) They were more than happy to explain everything they were doing, showed me where the problem was on the camera feed, hydro-jetted and then showed me the camera feed again. All better. I had previously been told that i needed to dig up my basement floor. They cleaned up really well, and, on top of all that, they are really nice guys. Much better pricing than another jetting company i called, too. You need a plumber? Stop calling around and hire these guys! read more

We needed our Sump Pump updated to not dump into the septic before we sold our house. Kevin came out and really impressed me with his knowledge of codes for Macomb County. He did the job very well and the price was excellent. The county inspector was happy with the work and gave us the all clear to sell. Kevin was nice to work with.
