Got our friendly reminder before the appointment. AJ came out and was a gem super helpful easy to understand when he was sharing the challenges with our fireplace. We spoke through options and he was super professional. He very quickly submitted our request for a quote later that day or the next so it was prompt. Emailed him back after my husband and I spoke and had a follow up question - no response as of yet and our appt was on 11/11/24. Then we started to get calls from the office following up on our appointment between 11/12 - 11/13/24. It would be helpful when vmails are left to be specific on the reason for one's call - to state the company name and phone number without context unfortunately isn't helpful. We played a lot of phone tag and I wasn't clear for the call it was simply to call Fireplace Pros. When we did finally connect the question was how our appointment was and did we have any questions? I did follow up again asking for the specific quote we had emailed AJ on after our appointment and that was the last we heard of Fireplace Pros and that was on 11/13/24. No follow up quote on our follow up question and a little phone tag. Sadly what started out as a strong service has sort of quieted down without our follow up answers to our questions.

When I tried talking to Dave about it he became belligerent, and kept repeating "it looks done right to me". When we couldn't come to an agreement he put a mechanics lien against our house. Several pieces of the flooring have popped up now, less than 1 year after paying premium for their services. They make you sign off on each day of work, and then if you're not happy with the end result, they say, "you signed off on the work," as if to absolve themselves of liability. Hire these guys for changing lightbulbs, but find professionals for bigger jobs.

The project was delayed 6 weeks after the original placement of concrete stakes and forms due to the City of Dublin electrical inspection. The delay was unfortunate but entirely common when city inspections are required. However, at least 3 weeks of the delay was due to Custom Concrete not returning my calls or prioritizing my project. After the concrete was poured, Custom Concrete placed a sealer that bubbled all over the entire patio the next day. As a customer, I understand that problems sometimes occur and perfection is unrealistic. Therefore, I allowed this company to make it right without paying them the final payment installment. After trying to use another chemical to remove the bubbles, the concrete looked completely uneven with large dark and light differences. At that time, the owner (Art) agreed to completely reseal the patio. After waiting 3 days to see if the new sealer would bubble and assurance from Art that it was "highly unlikely" to happen again, I paid my bill in full. About 2 weeks after the second sealer was installed, the bubbles returned in large patches. When I contacted Art, he suggested I wait a couple YEARS to allow the sun to wear off the defective sealer or contact the sealer manufacturer myself. I agreed to let this company walk away from this defective project if they were willing to compensate me in order to hire a competent concrete company to fix it. I asked Art to give me a fair refund amount and he told me to "keep dreaming." In addition to this company's complete lack of concrete knowledge, Art is the most unprofessional business owner I've ever encountered. Reviews from other sites say the same thing.

Well, I'll tell you, Jeff was excellent, he gave me honest assessments and helped me figure out what I needed, not what he could sell me. I had several requirements which he listed to and gave me honest, educated advice for all of them. Several weeks later my materials had been delivered, and we set up the date. The crew arrived on time and went straight to work after a brief conversation; I believe the crew chief was Daniel. The crew did an excellent job and listened to all my concerns, I had zero issues with them, they were great and did excellent work. In closing I will say, for the siding work I had done, and I've had siding done twice before, these guys were the best by a mile. FCI (Floor Coverings International) was not the most expensive nor the least expensive, but their representative, Ryan, demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of what would be required. He even warned that mold might be a possibility, which would require a mold remediation company. FCI did wonderful work on removing and cleaning up the old floor and installing a beautiful new floor. Their technicians were knowledgeable (especially Iver (sp?) ) who was a master craftsman at installing the flooring, baseboards and molding, and ensuring that there were no difficult bumps in the thresholds between rooms. We would confidently urge anyone in need of new flooring to go with FCI. They do excellent work, and do everything to ensure that their customers are pleased. It's microspheric technology, So there is absolutely no need for water. Bill is a customer service guy. He will educate you on the system that he uses. He will go over spots twice if you ask him, and he will do it with a smile. Cons: He did show up in an unmarked Honda Minivan...30 minutes late. The appointment was for 10 - he showed up at 1030. He is kinda pricey. He had two rooms, the living room and a master bedroom - very little furniture was moved. The final cost was just under 200.00 bucks and that was with a "new customer" discount. Now getting back to to the first sentence. The carpet that he cleaned was two years old and was never professionally cleaned. The carpet did look better after he was done, but I also think the carpet needs replaced. The former homeowner put cheap carpet in the house when she put the home on the market. He was able to get out a stain that drove my S/O nuts. If one where to ask me if I would use him again, I don't know that I would unless it was an emergency in the winter where no water was being used. I think for 200.00 I could probably get a whole house done with someone else.
