If you are young and male and not a previous offender, or you are unlikely to offend again, the Magistrates are cantancerous old people who will find you guilty and fine you a lot regardless of the evidence.
I don't know why they do this. I think it is a money making scam and because they don't like getting old. Just my experiences with them. Perhaps they just think, what the hell, this guy is a payer, let's sting him. Don't look to be found not guilty, they have a 96% conviction rate and don't care for evidence.Don't expect decent or fair bail conditions if you fall into any of the categories mentioned above either. Prosecutors have been found to be incredibly ignorant and liars also and no care for fact or evidence. It is the magistrates though who are the people who should know better. read more
