It has a lovely porch for reading outside in warmer weather, as well as some cozy seating inside. And the selection is excellent. They take care to stock books across a wide range of genres for all types of readers and interests. The store promotes a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone, and the employees are always friendly and helpful. On my most recent visit I scored a bargain from the sale cart and got a hardcover on my TBR list for 20% off. They also have a nice selection of gift items and stationary. A great place to spend an afternoon browsing through all the rooms.

It has limited hours, because it's run entirely by friendly volunteers, but it's worth arranging a visit. It has a great selection of used books in excellent condition for very reasonable prices, including a lot of recent popular books. I picked up a recent paperback bestseller for $3 and a hardcover for $7, and my best score was a signed paperback copy of Sarah McBride's memoir for only $4. If you love shopping for used books like I do, this is a must visit.

When I asked, the lady running the station told me that all the items for sale were previously in circulation or held by the library in some capacity. I purchased a few DVDs and a first edition book that were very fairly priced, and looked to be brand new. There were no markings on either to indicate they were ever circulated, so I'm wondering if some items in the shop were also donated at one point or another. While I imagine the collection doesn't change over too often, I'll try and re-visit every month or so to see what else they've added. It's worth stopping in while you're visiting the library!

Meaning you receive a wristband that allows you to help yourself to a variety of local beers and wine. Each is charged by the ounce and is charged to your tab at the end of your visit. An added bonus is two of the wines that were available were made in-house; the Concord Jungle and Mizz Education. We enjoyed the Mizz Education which is a sweet and refreshing Moscato so much we ended up taking two bottles home with us. Let me just say this, I've been to my fair share of restaurants for brunch and the food at Concrete Rose hands down is the top 5 best food I've ever had. We tried a variety of options which include the Salmon Avocado Toast, Soul of the Sea and Chicken wings with concord bbq sauce. All were seasoned, cooked and plated to perfection. Whew Lord just thinking about those crab cakes with herbed garlic butter and remoulade sauce has me thinking about taking a road trip to get some more. She then told me that would be $1.99. I was absolutely dumbfounded and taken aback, half tempted to just walk out and not purchase anything, but remembered they were for gifts and I didn't have time to ship them. Next time I will certainly preplan and avoid this store. I'd rather purchase and pay for shipping than for the gas to travel here, the inconvenience of standing in line, having to lug purchases throughout the mall and back home... and be charged $2 for a bag to carry my purchases. This is just in poor form to scam customers into purchasing a bag after you ring up a large order! It's just not worth the hassle. I asked for a free plastic bag and was informed they will no longer provide them. The store is well stocked and organized, but all the items can be obtained elsewhere for less of a cost and more convenience to ship to your front door or remember to take your own bag if you plan on shopping here.
