This is a long overdue review for a really cool place called Re{x) Designer Furniture Store. I've been going there since 2016, and I think it's amazing. At Re{x), there are three super talented people who work there (one of them being the owner) who know a lot about fancy furniture. They've been doing this for more than 50 years combined! They're really good at finding special furniture that's really old, really nice, or even one-of-a-kind. They're also on Instagram, where they share awesome pictures of each item (however come into the store where you can see the complete inventory...its a warehouse space and its HUGE!) They have a really nice website, rex.haus. If you like things that look really nice in your home, this is the perfect place for you. I also like the fact that the staff here are SO friendly, helpful and nice and I've always had great interactions with them every single time. There are many different styles of furniture at Re{x). They have stuff from a long time ago that's still super cool, things that look really modern, and even furniture made by famous designers. Some of these cool designers are Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Marcel Breuer, Vico Magistretti, Phillipe Starck, Knoll, Drexel Declaration, Saarinen, Haywood-Wakefield, Charles and Ray Eames, Paul Evans, Poul Kjaerholm, Florence Knoll, Goerge Nakashima, Gio Ponti, Hans Wegner, Charlotte Perriand, Eero Saarinen, Carlo Mollino, Marco Zanuso, Anchille Castiglioni, Franco Albini, and Gaetano Pesce. What's even more spectacular is that they have the famous and very Iconic UP Chair by Gaetano Pesce,... its the anniversary edition and in a silver metallic fabric. Love It! Our search for an in-stock dining table -- which is difficult to find these days -- led us to Re[X] over the weekend. Greeted by James, we found what we were looking for and more almost right away. To say he made browsing and debating options fun is an understatement. And Ralf, the super-friendly and knowledgable owner, sets a high bar for ensuring his customers are treated well. From answering questions and quickly preparing our purchases for transport to graciously going above and beyond to accommodate a last-minute exchange (totally due to my inability to make a decision), Ralf exemplifies a true pro -- one that knows how to build trust and brand loyalty with first-time shoppers. In response to some older reviews, I want to call out that everyone working in Re[X] was wearing masks at all times -- in the store and when helping us load our car. Additionally, the space itself is airy and clean with ample space to maintain distance from other visitors. I highly recommend a visit to Re[X] in North Palm Springs whenever you're in the mood for a mid-century modern furniture sensory overload (in a great way)! read more

This store is amazing and so it the team. I fell in love with a chair during a visit to Palm Springs but could not transport it home. When I called to see if they still had it a week later they did. Damien was so great, put it on hold for me immediately, sent me the authorization forms within an hour and texted me to let me know it was mine. He helped me arrange the pick up date and said it would be wrapped and ready for transport. He did not disappoint. The chair was packaged beautifully for transport, the entire pick up took 10 minutes, although he was not working the team knew I was coming, helped me load it and I was on my way. Came over to this rather non-descipt strip-mall, off the desert design radar, to look at the goodies in "Modern Way." Nice to see "Rex," another, quite new mid cen mod emporium. 11,000 sq.ft. of yummy vintage decor. Nice, helpful staff. Again, like MW, quite pricey, but curated, very high quality, "investment grade" material. Maybe this mall, with great parking, will become a genuine design destination? I hope so! read more

We loved this place! Excellent selection of MCM furniture, furnishings, and other items. They have the best selection of vintage Blenko glass I have seen in Palm Springs. Several of the wall furnishings were unique and stuff you rarely see in a retail store. Anyone looking for vintage and/or MCM ware will be happy they stopped here.
