There are signs that children are not allowed on machines and need to remain in the "kid room". HOWEVER, I have witnessed, more than once, along with other patrons that there is one customer who continues bringing her small, like 6 and under, grandkids and letting them play on the equipment and floor. They take pictures and think it's cute. Well, they may be cute to her, but not others. We are there to workout, not be watching and bothered by children. Extreme Fitness needs to enforce their own rules. When one of these children gets hurt, it will be too late. There will be a lawsuit. Respect other customers and ban children!! No other gym would you ever see a child on the floor/equipment!! Next time I might attach a photo of the disrespectful patron.

Are you thinking about boot camp? Look no further!!!!!…read more I just finished a mini-boot camp with Julia, and "Ha!" (as she would say) I kicked my own ass. I should preface this post by first stating that my boot camp goal was not to lose weight or become a super model in 12 sessions. I really wanted something that would kick start my exercise routine, and well since I don't have an exercise routine you can imagine week 1 was hard. Julia is very positive, enthusiastic and down to earth. She isn't going to run around saying sappy junk like 'believe in yourself' but she isn't going to scream at you either. She has a very simplistic approach which makes the whole experience very comfortable and approachable for all sorts of different boot campers. My class was comprised of folks of every shape, size and fitness level. She's designed the sessions to work for all types. ALSO and I think this is important, she offers a lot of knowledge about diet and food choices. Everyone gets a booklet with information concerning this and all the information you may/want or need during camp. ALSO she is incredibly punctual especially with email and is in contact often every boot camp day. If you have any questions and concerns she is more than willing to work with you, whether through meetings or emails. Julia's boot camp is sometimes outdoors and sometimes indoors in her own gym which is centrally located in 'SoBro'. She has options for 3 or 4 days a week at varying times during the day, and other more specialized camps as well. Her website is very detailed and informative and I highly recommend visiting it if you're currently researching a work out option. People love her boot camp so much she has regular campers who have been attending for years. I personally never got bored at camp, and although it was hard as heck to get my ass to the 6am boot I felt immensely better after week one. You really notice changes after each class, it's bonkers. My goal was to build stamina and strength and get my body to wake up after years of sporadic exercise, and Julia helped me do it! YAY!

One hour later and a "see you tomorrow" you're out the door and on your way. Five years later, and still working out, I'm the strongest, and healthiest I have ever been. Physically, I have been challenged with workouts that change daily. It isn't a stretch to say that my workouts keep me on an even keel emotionally. I have received many benefits from working out with the welcoming community at Julia's Body Shop. My plantar fasciitis of 20+ years has resolved, lower back discomfort is a thing of the past, and I am just a nicer person to be around. I would give a 5 star rating for this gym in Nashville.
