If you rent from remax you know they are very difficult to deal with, and we found something much cheaper from a private owner in town. My roomates and I had several issues with this company. A year into our original lease, our landlords decided to go through this company. We had a roommate moving out and a new one replacing her in our 5 bedroom house. The roommate moving out had already paid rent for her last month. This company would not listen to us or try to help us when we were trying to explain this. They stopped answering our calls and were quite rude over the phone. They kept saying they would reach out to the owners and never did. On top of this, the property was sold and they did not notify us at all. I rented from Remax a year ago and I am coming back to leave a review because I've had terrible experiences with property managers these past months and am looking back at my experience here with so much positivity. Firstly, Tammy is insanely good at her job. Any complaints about noise and trash is taken very seriously. I would extremely advise anyone looking into a REMAX owned building to look the other way. If you want to be apart of a leasing agency that believes in "verbal agreements" in terms of legal documentation, then this is the place for you! This Agency will provide little to no explanation in terms of billings until you owe a 10% late fee. Lease transfers are a nightmare. Trying to have a conversation with any of the three workers who pick up the phone turns into a standoff rather than any solutions being offered. We had her for our agent when we put our home on the market. Talk about going above and beyond....she did. She is very honest, friendly and a straight talker. I have been trying to rent a house through Remax for about a month now. I scheduled showings for multiple houses for the earliest possible time slot for all of them. The day of the showings, I always get a call saying they just signed a lease for the house. Mind you, you can only sign a lease for a house if you view the property in person first. What I dont understand is how are they signing leases for houses that I have not been able to view, especially when I have scheduled a showing for the earliest time slot a month in advance? Had one of the worst experiences trying to get a house through them. They ether need to hire more staff during the busy months or take on less property's to manage because the staff was always too busy to give simple answers. I had to call 3-5 times a week for 3 weeks to get simple stuff completed to move on to the next steps in the rental process. I am posting two reviews for Re/Max of Pullman; one for their rental management (0*) and one for the real estate side (5*) of their business. We rented from Re/Max for nearly two years, and recently purchased a home through them. We had two completely different experiences. For the Pullman Re/Max rental management side, I give them the lowest possible rating. No kidding, I have never had a worse experience renting, ever. I have rented all over the US, to include Pullman as a student 20 years ago. Nearly every interaction we had with the Re/Max rental team here in Pullman was negative. Their letters and emails were almost always unnecessarily threatening, and they made everything more complicated than needed. Generally, they acted as though we were a nuisance, not customers. Several times they were very unprofessional and a few times outright rude. I wouldn't confine this attitude to just one person either. The review from Jordan E is 100% correct. I get it, there are probably a fair number of renters in the community that are immature and create situations Re/Max has to deal with. The problem is that Re/Max treats every customer as it they are a 20 year old college sophomore. I would not rent from Re/Max again unless I absolutely had no other choice. read more

I would not suggest renting from this agency. Each time I would call, I would usually get a woman named Michelle who would answer the phone and huff and puff about doing her job then speak to me like I was interrupting her day. Friends of mine and myself never got our full refund deposit back. In fact, I was only informed that that just light cleaning of the fan in the bathroom needed to be done. Well, that costed me half of my deposit. If you have any interest in quality customer service, honest realtors, and following guidelines to receive your full security deposit back, then I would not suggest renting here. read more

I do not recommend renting with remax. They are rude, condescending, and utterly unhelpful. I have gone into their office multiple times (because I was not getting my questions answered through email), and every time they have treated me like I'm stupid for having questions about paperwork and wanting answers. They basically treat you like you're a burden to them and you're not worth their time. I get that maybe they have dealt with some immature college students before, but that's no reason to treat every interested​ renter like a child who doesn't know what they're doing. I think that Remax rentals and Remax real estate should be separate. It does not appear that the same people are involved and I have heard very good things about buying/selling through Remax... However, I had the exact opposite experience renting through Remax. When reading other reviews before renting through them, I saw some alarming things - especially when it came to getting security deposits back, but I realize this is a college town and college students are not always the most responsible with maintaining rentals. So I took a chance, boy was I wrong! The house we moved into was not cleaned prior to us moving in - but I was told my roommates and myself only needed to document damages, nothing of documenting cleanliness was mentioned. There was grease/grime built up in the kitchen, I found old underwear of previous tenants shoved in a crack of my window along with years of dirt and cobwebs, bugs in the light fixtures, my roommate found urine and pubic hair in her bathroom, etc. My roommates and I were all professionals/graduate students and cared about the cleanliness of the property and took huge strides to clean it up. I can say with 100% certainty that we left the house cleaner than we left it; and yet still got more than 1/3 (over $400) of our deposit taken for "cleaning". They refused to look at our photo documentation (time stamped to date of move in) of how dirty our house was because it was not documented on our move-in sheet and sent us on our way without any consideration/taking any fault. The overall "manager" is the agent that did the walk through with me and said nothing about cleaning, so I assumed we got what we got and that is the shape they turned over their properties. Because my roommates and I were such clean people, I assumed we would have no issue with our deposit - well we all know what happens when people assume. As property managers they are mediocre at responding to maintenance requests; not too many complaints. I did think it was unprofessional that they would not change the batteries of our beeping CO and smoke detectors less than a week after we moved in because "they were working at time of move in" even though they ensured us that they were all new batteries. The one good thing I have to say is that our sink clogged ON CHRISTMAS day and they did have someone out the next day to fix it, but that's about it. I hope when considering to rent through Remax that you aren't naive like I was, thinking that the people complaining about not getting their deposits back was their fault. read more

This review is for their rental management. If I could give them a below zero rating I would! I have rented numerous apartments and houses in my many years on this earth. I have purchased a home and built my own home, never have I encountered anyone as rude and unprofessional as Renee Leisinger. Not only was she rude and unprofessional, but she also had very little trouble lying when confronted about her constant contradictions. Apparently Remax uses a company called ACRAnet to do their background checks. This company must also be very inept, because according to Renee, they provide her with either no information or inaccurate information? I am wondering why I paid an application fee, (which, by the way is non refundable! ) when apparently they do not look at it or use it, at least according to Renee. Then to tell a renter that they do not need to understand why Remax does things like they do, they just need to accept it, that goes above and beyond condescending! Only an idiot would give them money without a clear understanding of their policies. But then, she treats people as if they are idiots, so I should not be surprised. If Remax were the only rental agent in the world, I would live on the street, that is how terrible they are! read more
