Absolutely the best! Exceptional personnel, beautiful and (spotless vehicles) with engaging and respectful conversation. Pleasurable trip.

This was my first and last experience with this company. I made my one-way reservation in advance and prepaid. The instructions were to call the number when I arrived. When I did, she said to call back when I had my bags. Once I had my bags and called her back, she said the driver was on his way and would call me when he arrived. 40 minutes after my reservation time, he called but spoke with a thick accent and very quickly; I could barely understand him in order to find him. He was dressed sloppily in denim shorts and flip-flops, and was rude. The vehicle was dirty and reeked of air freshener. Our average speed on I-40 was 80 mph; the speed limit is 65 most of the way. Big disappointment. read more

I stupidly decided to give RDU Sky Shuttle a 2nd chance. First, I had to wait 30 minutes because a driver forgot to call me when he arrived at the airport. After another driver finally picked me up (dunno if it was the person who forgot to call me), halfway from RDU to Durham, he asked if he could turn around to to pick someone up. He promised it would only take 10 minutes. I agreed. We drove to Hooters and picked up some dude who reeked of weed. Then we drove all the way back to RDU to drop him off. The driver told him he could pay "anything he wanted to pay." After the dude got off, I asked the driver how the fare is calculated. The driver told me that since he had already driven the dude to Southpoint mall earlier, he was willing to give the dude a discount. Even though 50 minutes were unnecessarily added to my ride, I didn't get a discount. I think I deserved one. Never again, RDU Sky Shuttle, never again. read more

I booked two days in advance, then called in to cancel on the same day I made the reservation. NOTE: I MADE THE RESERVATION AND CANCELLED ON THE SAME HOUR. They charge an 8% CANCELLATION FEE. that's right. Percentage of the fare, not a fixed fee, citing "Credit Card Fees" which is usually 2% ish. When I protested, the lady who answered said it's my problem. Don't go near these folks. They are toxic. read more

They constantly call confused even though you pay a large sum for their services. Then they show up late, and make it seem like its no big deal that you need to get to the airport. The driver actually laughed when i was concerned for my flight time like it was a joke. Then the driver will go about 15-20 mph over the speed limit, risking your life to make up for their shortcomings. Extremely dangerous company. STAY AWAY! read more

This company is a complete sh*t show. WORST SERVICE EVER. Be warned, you are about to read some serious whining: I made a reservation for round trip and pre-paid a week prior to my flight. First Pick-up: Between a call to the main office (I later found out I spoke to the owner) and numerous calls with the driver I could not find out from them where I needed to go. Took almost an hour to get a ride from a different Sky Shuttle driver - and this was by accident. The main bus driver was rude and argumentative when I was confused and tried to find him. They couldn't find any proof that I had pre-paid so that was another hassle. Second Pick-up: My scheduled return trip was 30 minutes late picking me up at the hotel and caused me to barely get to my flight on time. In addition I had called three hours ahead to ask if friend could also ride the shuttle and pay in cash at pick up - for some reason his trip was quoted cheaper than mine but whatever. When we got picked up found out there was a miscommunication and that they expected 2 additional people. This resulted in the driver making me talk to the owner of the company on his cell phone while in transit. During this call, the owner argued with me pretty much accused me of lying when I spoke to the woman who answered my earlier call (this woman was his daughter, of course). The owner wouldn't let the subject drop and I had to end the call with telling him if he wanted to refuse us service, to tell the driver and then handed the phone back - The owner wouldn't shut up and is pretty much a huge JERK. In addition to the above, both drivers were driving while talking on the phone, one almost wrecked while reading through my email thread and confirmation with the company, on my phone. Uhg. Just, total uhg. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS SERVICE. I don't write a lot of negative reviews, but I can not in good conscience leave this one alone after how they treated me on both the ride to the airport, and the pickup and return home. If I hadn't booked a roundtrip to begin with, I would never have used them on the way home. This is after I had already used them once previously, with barely mediocre service. Ride to the airport: The driver was lost, and instead of asking me where to go, he immediately became rude, combative, and just started yelling at me. Ultimately it took him another 15 minutes to find the front door to my building because I couldn't understand him, and he didn't want to listen, just yell at me. Once I got into the car (wasn't really excited to, but had to make my flight), he spent the whole ride either yelling at me for his being lost, or muttering LOUDLY about how much he hated me. So -- singularly awful customer experience, and I arrived for my flight feeling genuinely abused. Ride home last night: Not only was the driver yet again nowhere to be found, and ultimately much more than 15 minutes late (they had all my flight information, with which they did nothing, but could have, say, used to see when the flight landed, and pull up and be waiting for me, instead of making me track them down), but, additionally this time, the operator that I called, and who I tried to get to simply take down my official complaint to pass on to ownership and management hung up on me after yelling at me about their policies. I tried calling back to get her to listen, and she proceeded to hang up on me without even speaking to me. Twice. Once the driver did finally arrive, it was the SAME RUDE DRIVER. Suffice it to say, the ride home was equally abusive and awful, as I had to ask him not to try to text or type while driving, as it was both making him veer, not to mention that it is illegal. As soon as I said anything to him, he started in on the same abusive treatment I had on the trip to the airport before. When we finally got to my building, after he took wrong turns, yelled at me about them, threatened to take me back to the airport, and leave me there, he peeled away from the curb, barely missing me. I don't expect any kind of recompense from the company -- it seems to be a sham operation. I will never again use them, nor should anyone reading this. Spend a few more dollars and go with a reputable service that will, at the very least, not yell at you throughout the ride. read more

Absolutely one of the worst shuttle services I have experienced. I would not recommend. Horrible customer service. I made a reservation with RDU Sky Shuttle for my team as we needed a shuttle service to a neighboring airport. I spoke with the reservation person and asked about reservation cancellations and they did not mention to me that there is an 8% cancellation charge. Of course, I found a cheaper deal at another shuttle service and wanted to cancel my reservation with Sky Shuttle and that is when they mentioned to me that there was an 8% cancellation charge. I asked the reservation person that in the future, it would be helpful if they mentioned this when people booked their reservations. They told me that it was clearly stated on their website and that they didn't have time to go over all the details over the phone. WOW! Need I say more? read more

Arranged for Sky Shuttle to pick up my daughter at RDU at 6 am, and take her back to Elon U Monday after Thanksgiving. Reliable & very fairly priced ($70 RDU to Elon). And driver Neil was very nice. They definitely have our repeat business! read more

It's a shuttle service that takes you to and from the airport, whoopee! Honestly, I'd prefer to take an Uber over a real taxi any day, but a group of six needed a ride to and from the airport recently for a family vacation. We made the call to RDU Sky Shuttle and confirmed a drop off and pick up for our trip. They showed up on time and when our flight got delayed on the way back, we texted back and forth and they were waiting when we arrived. It's not a fancy service, yet it does the job. You could tell one driver was more familiar with the route then the other, so I wouldn't be surprised if they go through a lot of drivers. One driver was using a GPS, the other just asked for verbal directions. Van was about what you'd expect when lots of people are getting in and out regularly. AC didn't work well and there was also an odd smell in the air. Both drivers kept to themselves (no talking) but also didn't help load or unload any of our luggage. This was surprising as we had six people, three females and a baby, but alas, maybe chivalry is dead. From the DIY (warehouse) district in Durham to the airport and back, it was about a $70-$80 round trip fee. They get the job done, but it's your basic taxi service, so don't set your expectations too high. read more

Driver was 10 minutes early, had a quick ride to RDU for cheaper than any other cab company. Driver was courteous, reservation experience was easy as well! 100% recommended for students at Carolina, NCSU or Duke! read more

I had trouble finding the driver first, and when I finally found him, he was very rude. He speaks impatiently and handed me a board to write my credit card information and tips! What kind of drivers asks me for tip beforehand?? When I handed it back, he looked at the tip amount for quite a while, which is very scary. He texted while he's driving, and was overspeed all the time. Very uncomfortable to ride. The car smelt like cigarette. The dispatchers are not nice. I needed to cancel well before the travel time (12+ hours), and they hang up on me. 1/5, would not recommend. read more

Every easy description ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!! Terrible customer service over the phone and then worst service with their shuttles. Vehicles are run down and dirty!! Came in for a conference and was picked up at the airport, once I stepped into the van it smelled like the driver had just smoked 3 packs of cigarettes, stains on the seats, trash on the floor. Unfortunately I pre-paid a round trip with them prior to arriving in Raleigh. The experience was so bad that I didn't utilize their service to get back to the airport. Instead I called an Uber to take me to the airport. Do yourself a favor and take a Taxi or Uber when traveling to Raleigh. Honestly I would give them 0 stars if YELP allowed them. read more

Great experience. Drivers were on time or early and cordial. Cars were clean. Price was competitive.

After flight was cancelled out of of GSO I had to book a last minute taxi to RDU to catch a flight home. Driver was great, on time and professional, but van could use a good cleaning. read more

The pick up at my house was on time and in fact a little early. Easy journey to the airport and very pleasant driver. Very easy transaction beginning to end. read more

What a nightmare and a risk of my personal safety and the one of my family!!!! First of all the driver showed at the airport 45 minutes late after my flight landed and I picked up my luggage . I call the customer service 10 times, and when they answered either they bluntly lied or just keep saying the driver will be there soon just wait. After a long flight at 11pm that's not what you want to hear after you paid more than $100 for a ride and they knew my expected arrival and flight number from the day I booked. Not only that, the van was dirty as you can't imagine, as soon as we got home 2 and half hours later!!!! we felt the need to take a shower, it barely fitted our stuff as it was full of the driver personal things, like a kid huge car chair! They also tried to sneak an other passenger in the ride, that would have meant a 45 minutes detour after we paid for a NON shared ride. The driver loaded the other passenger stuff and didn't care I was showing him evidences I paid for an individual ride. I had to call the traffic police to help me, as both the driver and the other passenger were getting very confrontational to me and my girlfriend!!! After 30 minutes of screaming from the driver, and the other passenger, we finally were on our way home. On top of all of this drama, we landed at 10:30pm and got home after 1 am!!!! Third World service, third world car (I forgot to mention that all the lights on the console were lit, from oil, to brakes, engine, you name it, looked like a Christmas tre!!!) and mostly a danger to your personal safety, the driver was a terrible driver as well!!! NEVER MORE IN MY LIFE! read more

07/03/2015 I am using their services frequently and I am amazed at how friendly and professional the drivers are. They are fast, reliable and safe. They never fail to exceed my expectations. I am using them frequently for my Business trips to Rdu airport. Fast and easy booking online or over the phone 9195998100. Very affordable fare compare to the other Airport shuttle services. Try them out. read more

The driver was friendly and prompt, but they need to work on vehicle maintenance. There was a horizontal crack that went almost the entire width of the windshield. They also need to tell their drivers not to text while driving. It's dangerous. read more

Do not book with sky shuttle!! My driver called on time, but when I got down to the car he was sleeping. I think he was asleep for half of the car ride because he was swerving all over the highway. I was very scared for my safety. He didn't say anything to me and never offered to help with my bags. It was definitely not worth the 36 dollars I paid for a 25 minute ride to the airport. read more

Should have looked at the Yelp reviews first! Bad experience. Prepaid for a private ride. Was picked up in a 12 passenger van that had to drop off a flight crew before taking me to my destination. Did not accommodate my disability. Driver left me in the van with no A/C and windows up while he went to the bathroom. All around a bad experience. Don't do it. read more

WORST. SERVICE. EVER! I called SkyShuttle on 10/30/12 to make a reservation to have some family members from Europe picked up at 11am the next day (10/31/12) to be taken to the airport. The woman who picked up the phone sounded a little strange and maybe like she was elderly and I had some difficulties understanding her, but she asked all the right questions (address, time, when the flight departed, etc.) and they have a website, too, so I figured it'd be ok. During our conversation I confirmed several times the day and time and ended the phone call by saying "See you tomorrow at 11am," to which she said "Ok." After I hung up the woman called back saying she hadn't written down my zip code and if I could give that to her again. The next day the shuttle still wasn't there at 11:05am, so I called to make sure they were on their way. Same woman, didn't seem to remember me and just said she couldn't find the reservation in the system. I reminded her of our conversation the day before and she then remembered and tried to tell me that she thought that I had called to get information but that I hadn't actually made the reservation but changed my mind during the phone call. I asked her why she had then called back right after we spoke to confirm the zip code (that call is documented in my called id log in my phone). If somebody doesn't actually make a reservation there's no need to get their zip code! After going back and forth a bit she acknowledged it was "human error" (indicating that she messed up when taking the reservation) and that there was no way for a shuttle to get there in time now. I expressed my frustration and disbelief and she hung up on me. I ended up having to change all my plans for the day, waking up my baby and putting him in the car, and rushing my family members to the airport myself. My poor baby had to sit in the car for more than an hour even though he was just recovering from a bad GI bug. We barely made it in time and everybody was super stressed! The most ridiculous thing is that that same evening I had a voice mail on my phone, from the SAME woman, not getting that it was me, trying to confirm my reservation for the next day at 9am. Huh?? She even confirmed the address in the voice mail, the same address she'd heard and discussed in two phone conversations in the last 24 hours, but she still didn't put it together even then. I called back and a guy picked up a phone. I told him what had happened and that I really didn't want anybody to come to the house at 9am the next morning. He said ok, but hung up without even asking my name or address or trying to find the reservation in the system, so I'm not sure if they'll still come in the morning. I AM sure, however, that I will never ever call them again to reserve a ride to the airport and that I will let everybody know to stay away from them!! read more

Great ride. On time, very affordable, nice driver, clean vehicle. Would definitely use again.

Showed up 25 minutes late. When they hadn't shown by 10 minutes, I had to call THEM to figure out what was going on. Driver was pleasant enough, but the vehicle was showing its age. Cheaper than a cab by 10%-15%. read more

I have used Sky Shuttle at RDU a couple of times - GREAT service that is less expensive than the taxis. One time my flight was very late (arrival time changed a couple of times) and my luggage was lost. Despite his long wait for me, the driver was very pleasant. Another time, I needed to cancel a pick up, and there was no issue with using the 2nd portion of my round trip ticket on a future trip. The drivers are professional and friendly. The service is available 24 hours/day and are always very prompt. The newer vans are very clean. read more

Used Sky Shuttle for the first time a few weeks ago to get to the airport. Made the reservation the day before online and the private van arrived 10 min earlier than expected. The driver was polite and helpful. The van was reasonably clean but the AC didn't appear to be working and I was more concerned that the check engine light was on for the entire trip. We arrived at the airport in plenty of time and had no problems except my wife left a sweater behind. I contacted the company immediately from the airport but except for an email response that they'll check with the driver, we've not heard anything. I guess returning items left in their vehicles is not part of their customer service. Not sure we'll be using them again. read more

After reading the reviews for RDU Sky Shuttle, I feel as though I got lucky with my experience. I flew into RDU Airport and needed to get to Chapel Hill. Cabs seemed to be going for about $40 one way and if you don't want to rent a car or have someone to pick you up then your options seem to be very limited. I went online and did a quick search and found RDU Sky Shuttle. I called the number right before my flight left and provided the reservation agent with my name, telephone number, and flight number. She advised me that the cost would be $26 and that they took cash and credit cards. As soon as I landed the reservation agent called me to get the status of my whereabouts. She advised me that a driver would be waiting for me at the ground transportation area. It took me about 10 minutes to get off the aircraft and make it down to the baggage claim/ground transportation area. When I reached the designated area where the shuttle was at, the driver was waiting and ready to go. There was another person in the shuttle; I am not sure how long she had been waiting for. Overall, I was very satisfied with the timely manner in which I was picked up (no waiting) and also on the communications end. I feel that RDU Sky Shuttle definitely communicated effectively and the van ride was very pleasant. Maybe I got lucky or perhaps RDU Sky Shuttle has read these Yelp reviews and taken steps in the right direction to correct previous mishaps. I do hope it is the latter lol. If I am ever in town I will definitely use RDU Sky Shuttle again. read more

I prepaid and booked the taxi shuttle online for 3:50am, paid extra for the pick up time prior to 4 am, and anticipated their arrival. I was emailed a confirmation, texted and called the night before to confirm the booking, and given the contact number for the driver and his name (Joseph). We were ready at the stated location at 3:50am. When he had not arrived by 3:55am, I called his number with no answer, then called the main number. The main number operator said he would call the driver. I then called the driver after not hearing back, who stated (at 4:05am) that he would be an additional 10-15 minutes, since he had SLEPT IN... Given our flight boarded at 5:00am, with take off at 5:25am, we could not risk waiting that long. I called the operator and he was not very helpful in how to get to the airport on time. We, then, chose to drive ourselves and park in the long term parking. Thinking maybe this was a once in a while thing, I wrote customer service. They said they would refund the amount paid (well duh! No driver took us..) but that no other help or compensation would be given. They said "it's part of the risk and industry." What a nightmare. read more

Sky Shuttle was a wonderful experience, from the time I first spoke to the helpful dispatcher, until the driver dropped me off at RDU. The shuttle arrived for pickup 5 minutes early, the van was clean and in good shape. And the driver was great-- we had an animated conversation about politics, history, children, different places to live.. just a wonderful way to start my day. And it was cheap--$24 from Durham to the airport. I will definitely use Sky Shuttle again. read more

Wow what a nightmare this outfit is! Booked a ride to RDU for 730 this morning. Called 2 days back and talked to a woman who verified their price as calculated on their website. She suggested i finish the booking online and i did. I received a reciept from paypal for the payment. Called when the ride was 15 mins late only to be told they had no record of my reservation, no ride was coming and no one was available to take me to the airport. No apologies no excuses no ideas. If airport travel is not stressful enough for ya then i suggest depending on this group of shit heads. That ought to ratchet up blood pressure. read more

Driver was on-time and the car was clean. No muss, no fuss and the rates were great from Garner to RDU. Taking one back home tonight.

If I could give zero stars I would. My son is a freshman at UNC. He used this service over spring break. They clearly wanted to book as many students as they could to make as much money as possible. He had a pick up 2 hours ahead (the recommended time frame). They picked up someone else 30 minutes later, leaving him 45 minutes to get to his flight. He missed his plane. This company takes advantage of students. Their response when informed of the situation was completely inappropriate and uncaring. That's when I decided to post. People can make mistakes, but this was intentional disregard for customer service made only worse because it involved young people. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. read more

This would be a great service except for one horrible driver. I'm not sure of his name but he drives car 611 and he seems to be the only white guy in their fleet. I and members of my family have ridden with him several times, and every time he has bullied us if we failed to give a cash tip or didn't tip high enough. He picks arguments with passengers over politics and sports teams. He is really aggressive and, at times, downright creepy. The women in my family no longer feel safe calling Sky Shuttle because of the chance that they could get this driver. We will never hire them again. Stay away! read more

Terrible, terrible service. They gave me completely wrong information and then wouldn't correct their mistake and refund me. I will never use this service again. Terrible customer service. Rude and inconsiderate. read more

I made a reservation online and never received any sort of confirmation or instructions. They were rude and short when I called to confirm my reservation. The driver was late picking me up from the airport and didn't even get out of the van to help me with my bags. I am a woman and was traveling alone with three bags! When we pulled up to my hotel, he again sat in the driver's seat while I struggled to unload my own bags. He then had the nerve to say "Aren't you going to tip me?". Bottom line: did they get me to my destination, yes. Was it a pleasant, smooth, customer friendly experience? Absolutely not. Would I recommend this company to anyone? Not a chance. read more

I have no clue why people have given such bad reviews for Sky Shuttle. I've gotten rides from them every time there's been a break this semester and they're great! Maybe they stepped up their game, but I've gotten different people almost every time and all of them are very nice and friendly people. Although I don't really like being in a car with a stranger, its not that bad with them. Its the cheapest ride I've found, even less than Uber. So if you have any doubts about this service, lose them; they're awesome. read more

If I could give this company less than 1 star, I would. This was the absolute WORST company that I have ever dealt with. I scheduled a car to pick me up from the airport, but when I landed, there were multiple people waiting for the same car. I understand that this company offers shared rides, but they hadn't told me this. The driver told me he overbooked for that night and had to make a detour, so I said sure. I needed to go to Duke in Durham, but the "small" detour he had to make was all the way to Raleigh. So what was supposed to be a 15min ride turned into a 1hr and 15min ride. When I told the driver that it was unacceptable to tell me that he had to make a "small" detour but then drive an hour out of the way, he offered to drop the price to $20 instead of $24; I told him he must be crazy to think that that was enough of a discount for his incredibly unprofessional mistake. If he had told me that he had to go to Raleigh, I would have called a cab and I wouldn't have had to be stuck in a car for an hour longer than I had to. When I told him that I wouldn't pay him $20 for the worst service of my entire life, he threatened me with calling the cops. This company is the most unprofessional and out-right worst company that I have EVER dealt with and they shouldn't be in business. read more
