The sparse crowd in here was pretty typical of the places we visited. The bar's interior has a late-70s renovation look to it, but the space still manages to retain most of its century-old character. The bar includes two pool tables, pinball, dart boards, a jukebox, an ATM, and a few video games. There are also multiple TVs throughout the bar. Our beers were $1.80 each, a rather odd price. Watch yourself when entering the bar. One of the dart boards is immediately to the right just inside the front door, while the taped line is to the left of the front door. I about got hit walking in!

It was clear that we were outsiders, but the regulars welcomes us in and made us feel at home. The crowd was mostly middle aged and we walked in to several of them singing along with ELO on the juke box. Drinks were dirt cheap. This was our favorite straight-up bar in Fremont.

I've visited on two occasions and the bartenders do that their job and just that. Friendly and accommodating but sometimes they don't know what you need. Darts and slots are available. You can also play a game of pool if so desired and Karaoke if you're into that. If you order a Moscow mule they'll ask for your ID - I guess copper mugs have been stolen? This didn't irk me as much as make me laugh, but I'd just rather you didn't give me a copper mug. I almost forgot my ID because that's just quite a bit out of the norm compared to my average bar experiences. I'd definitely visit again - I think this is the type of place you'll have a good drink and good story by the time you leave.

They quit serving food at 8. If you want something after the fact; they do offer delivery from another place not too far from the bar itself. Drinks are cheap. Where there are cheap drinks you will find cheap drunks. Everyone here knew each other, and everyone who came here had a lot to talk about the more they drank. Being the out of towner that I was -- I can tell you on 3 occasions where girls came over to me and spilled their heart out. How did I manage to become a therapist is beyond me.... including one of them who felt it was necessary to discuss her endeavors with my relative the night before. WHY would you tell me this?! Awkward.... Aside from that, the drinks here are really good. The karaoke was a ton of fun as well. I enjoyed the vast selections of songs you could choose from even though country music seemed to be the prime theme of the evening. They offer billiards. Those were pretty hot for the night too. Smoking is allowed outside on the patio, and not within the establishment which made me happy. I am a non-smoker. The patio is big enough to hold a few people if the weather is right. It is also fenced in for privacy. Dress code -- biker or cowboy casual. Google it. Tin Lizzie's is pretty solid and I would return for a drink and for entertainment purposes.... sans playing therapist again.

LA Fire Proof Door is located downtown in the sleepy city of Fremont, its your typical small town bar & grill. As we sat down we noticed 70s/80s genre television shows being aired like Hollywood squares and the dating game and it reminded my of my small hometown that I grew up in. They have your typical Bar Kitchen menu with hamburgers, hot wings, fries, tots etc . . . My two coworkers order a couple of the special house burgers the L. A. BACON CHEESEBURGER and L. A. BURGER but I decided to go with the BUFFALO CHICKEN (GRILLED) Sandwich and Tots... As my co-workers dug into their charbroiled test of heaven, I savored the Grilled house Buffalo Chicken sandwich which was SPOT ON!!! Nicely grilled juicy chicken breast covered in their house Buffalo chicken Sauce topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles with a slice of pepper jack cheese melted on top.. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! I was so good that I plan on going back the next time we are in town!!! But next time, I am going to asked for an extra side of that Buffalo Sauce to dip my Tots in. ;) I didnt hear any complaints from the other side of the table either... they scarfed up every last bite!! If your looking for some down right tasty bar food, LA Fire Proof Door is definitely you place while in the Fremont NE area.

The guy waiting on us is very friendly and answered all of our questions in regards to food and drinks. Decent amount of beer on tap, and I love that they had the outdoor patio area outback. He did hook us up with a couple extra sides of salsa (condiment size), but I was not impressed with the price versus portion. Unfortunately, my Philly cheesesteak was a little overcooked which made the meat dry, but I tried my son's wrap and my husband sandwich too. They both tasted phenomenal.
