Charlie, the gentleman who came out to give…read moreus the estimate was very friendly and professional and offered a fair price for the work to be done painting the inside of our brand new home. We had a few bids to choose from but ultimately chose AMC because of Charlie's professionalism and the fact that we were told their crew was big enough that they could complete the work in just a couple days, which was important to us as we wanted the painting to be done before the movers arrived with our stuff. Unfortunately everything from the moment we accepted the quote was substandard. We got conflicting information about when we had to have the final color selections in by, had multiple communication problems with the crews, and the work was pretty sloppy. The crews put down plastic but spilled beverages on it making it sticky to walk on and left literal food scraps on the floor after the first day of work. They also forgot to plug the fridge back in when they left and we were gone for well over a day, resulting in food spoilage. They got paint drippings all over the place...on outlets, doors, shower curtains, on the floor in multiple places, window sills, bathroom hardware, the toilets, our washing machine and dryer, etc. They also left really sloppy lines where the accent walls meet the ceiling and damaged the ceiling drywall paper in a lot of areas because they use masking tape to prep instead of painters tape (the tape was either cheap and too sticky or they left it too long). One of the accent walls looked so bad, they had to come out and redo it. And on top of it all, they didnt complete within the projected 2 days and needed to come back on Sunday to finish the work. We genuinely appreciated Charlie and his work to try and make this right by compensating us for the food spoilage, having the crew work Sunday to meet our deadline, and having a person come back out to fix the accent wall, but even after these efforts, we are still trying to clean up all of the paint drippings all over the house and still have the accent wall with a gray line going along the ceiling along with multiple other areas throughout the house we are having to touch up ourselves or hire someone else to fix. Two of the doors they took off and put back on we had to get someone to help us fix because they didn't close properly and about half of our light switch plates were installed such that they aren't flush with the wall, so we are trying to fix all of those too. I believe the folks at AMC are good people and I truly want to leave them a good review, but this experience was just objectively bad, especially for the price we paid. I can't in good faith recommend them.

The only reason why he had to keep coming back is because his team failed to do a great job! Otherwise there would had been no need for touch ups at all! On top of that he had the audacity to ask me to pay for the damages his team did to my floor because "you were going to fix it yourself anyway so you might as well!" He also stated "my guys haven't had work in a week due to the shutdown so you think you can go half on them and pay half at least while they pay the other half!" It's not my fault you damaged my floor and now have to pay my carpet company for the mistakes your crew made! I tried to be cordial with Manny till the very end but he just couldn't keep it together and complained about doing his job that I already paid him to do that his crew had destroyed my floor and also got paint all on my rugs that I was replacing! We had exterior work done on our house. They were to replace some bad siding and paint. They have…read morecrews that they hire out, not their own. The crew we got did a horrible job. It was a bigger job with having to replace the siding, so we were very surprised when they said they were finishing up after the 3rd day! They didn't seem to wait for anything to set (dry) as we saw them using caulking and 2 hours later the paint was done. They had blobs of caulking where they filled nail holes and didn't smooth it out. When they tried to fix it, it made the paint bad. They painted right before it rained and we had streaks on some areas of the house. We had 4 nails that went all the way through the wall and into the inside of the house! Some of the trim paint was not done correctly. When they tried to fix it they could just peel it right off, so they did and repainted and now you can tell where they peeled it. They took one of our buckets, lost screw caps to lights and never replaced and used a little shovel and scoop we had and broke it. We told them 3 times to not put the cable lines back up but they did anyway - and it was just randomly ran along the house. Then when they took it down of course there were new nail holes in our new piece of siding that they had to patch. We paid for materials and they didn't leave the leftovers like they were supposed to. They did send another team to try and fix some of the items. I felt like they did a better job, wish we would have had them to begin with. Our PM was understanding and tried to make things right, but the damage was done and not everything could be fixed. And what should have taken a week or less, ended up taking 6 weeks!
