Situation On May 30th, 2020. We experienced significant hail damage to multiple areas of our property (roof, fascia, shutters, stucco, gutters, etc.). Jim came to us highly recommended by a friend and we were impressed with the time he took in his analysis and the ATTENTION TO DETAIL provided in his initial description of the scope of the project. Working with Insurance Jim was a great advocate to have in our corner when working with our insurance company to ensure that the job was done right and up to current codes. His professionalism with our insurance company ensured timely follow-ups on supplemental items needed to accomplish the job. Our property has difficult access and a very high steep pitched roof. Jim was able to articulate this to our claims agent and get the funding to do the job SAFELY AND CORRECTLY. Upgrades In addition to the claimable areas, Jim was able to offer upgrades and services that were above and beyond the scope of what the insurance covered. He did this at a very affordable rate. All the work done by his folks was TIMELY, FRIENDLY, AND FREE OF MESS. Coordination Jim continued to coordinate with our insurance company through the entire process. As a result of the same thunderstorm event, we also had other (landscaping/interior) contractors accessing our property. Jim PERSONALLY HANDLED coordination with the other supervisors when necessary. Everyone was happy and worked well around each other. Further Coordination The reason why this review occurs over 6 months later is due to our home's shutter replacement. After comparing multiple bids, Jim helped us select ones that would make the exterior pop. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, Jim's distributor could not get the shutters to the jobsite for over 5 months. As we found out, access to materials was an industry-wide problem. Nevertheless, Jim reached out on a regular basis to the distributor and the manufacturer, and routinely gave us updates on the status of our order. Jim ALWAYS KEPT IN TOUCH and saw the project through to its completion. We think the shutters were well worth the wait! Kindness and Accuracy Over the course of the project and insurance claim there are so many accounting line items, associated values, depreciation, taxes, etc. Jim kindly walked us through every step of the process and explained what each number meant. Jim at HPC was referred to us by our neighbor to help assess hail damage we had at our house. This simple referral turned out to be a huge blessing as Jim is an extremely involved, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly individual. From the first time we met, it was evident that Jim goes above and beyond for his clients. He made sure to be present when the insurance assessor came to our house in order to make sure nothing was missed and our claim was maximized. He helped us communicate with our insurance company to make sure we understood the claim process from his end and theirs. Don't hire anyone else!! I have needed a roof for several years. No way to claim on insurance. It started leaking last year and I was finally in a position to get a new roof recently. I got estimates from several roofing contractors and I completely understand how scary that is! It got to the point that I would only call those with a 5 star rating at the BBB. Jim with High Performance Construction came out and gave me an estimate a few months ago along with many others. Jim went out of his way to match my lowest bid with better materials. I called Jim when I was ready and he honored the original estimate. I put my down payment down on Saturday, materials delivered on Monday and the roof was done on Tuesday. Excellent job. Everything happened exactly the way he said it would. He explained the entire process and made sure I had a good understanding of all the materials that were installed. I had hail damage from the July 5th hail storm in Black Forest. I contacted my Insurance Company and they sent out an adjustor. I contacted 3 other roofers to come and see what damage was done on my roof. They came out and asked to see the Insurance paperwork? When Jim Lancaster came out to see the roof? He got up on it, looked it over, saw things the Insurance Company missed. He submitted the Items that needed to be done and went beyond what the other roofers did. I had a 50 year shingle on my house, the Insurance company did NOT give me credit for that after he was told. Jim took the shingle, got a certification that it was a 50 year shingle and was able to put a much better roof on my house. He was honest and very easy to talk and work with.
