iSmash claim to be the "UK's Leading Tech Repair Specialist", but it doesn't even appear that they…read morecan get their own name right. A more appropriate name for the business would be iScam. I purchased a screen protector from iSmash in July 2020, I thought the pricing was very reasonable as the pricing started at just £20. I was told about their "Screen Protector for Life" scheme, where if you pay an extra £10 it insures your screen protector to cover for unlimited claims of accidental damage, however, they refused to honour this policy. I have been trying to visit the store regularly for the past month only to be told "We don't have any in stock", the cold, unapologetic staff member never showed any understanding of my issue, she seemed more interested in getting me out of the store empty-handed than actually trying her best to resolve my issue or even apologise for being out of stock. I was recently told that they no longer get screen protectors in for older devices as frequently and they might never get a new screen protector in, considering the iPhone XS Max was only released in September 2018, I wouldn't say it is so old they should stop getting accessories in for it. I seem to be always served by the same female staff member in-store, who always seems to deliver the worst and rudest service I have ever experienced in a store. iSmash refused to refund me the £10 premium which I paid to get the Screen Protector for Life policy, and they also refused to provide me with a new screen protector, meaning I'm left for pretty much nothing from my money. I would never do business with them again. They are happy to take your money but when you actually want the service you will pay for, they simply couldn't care less. I don't know how they have a license to operate as repair specialists for many companies and even have a store in the Manchester Arndale! 1*
Horrible service! I purchased a screen protection glass…read morefrom them on November 18th 2019. The girl in store put it on for me. Just FYI: I paid £20. Three weeks later I've notices air bubbles underneath the protection glass. Didn't keep my paper receipt (do people REALLY expect me to keep them in 2019), however pulled out my bank statement with the transaction clearly showing the name of the shop, the date and the amount spent. Came to the shop and presented this screenshot to Mr. Haaroon Saleem (called himself a manager, which is just a word in this case). He straight away said that he needs a paper receipt. I've shown him the bank transaction and the actual screen (clearly a BAD quality job) and he checked something on his laptop with an uninterested face and kept repeating that he needs a paper receipt. No customer service, no respect to their job, no quality control. I'd rather go Apple and pay £45, however get a great experience and amazing quality product.

The store staff seemed rather friendly, albeit inside the store was quite small, he seemed to work with some of his family, wife and younger children besides him as it appeared the children had just returned home from school, or something of that nature when I called in. NJ Mobiles offered me a rather generous quote on my old phone, which I accepted as it was considerably better than what the likes of CeX and Game were offering me, and the amount was perfect for me as it matched the amount that I would have to pay Tesco Mobile to terminate my contract early, by paying off the usage of my phone, ahead of getting the Iphone 7 Plus with O2, after O2 offered me a much better deal than Tesco. The selection of phones here is average, but that is the trade in a way, reliant on what people bring in and of course, unlike the likes of CeX, Game and Cash Converters, it isn't a large chain which can rely on the big company to help in terms of stocking things. Overall, good staff and generous offers to trade-in old phones earn this place a solid three-star rating, selection of phones to buy and other slight issues such as the overall size of the store, do slightly let this place down.
