Rene is not only a great Master Plumber, he is funny and very polite! We had called Rene do some work on our kitchen sink and really liked his work so we called him to see if he could replace our drainage pipes, but his schedule was busy.....and of course I felt that I couldn't wait so we went with another company.......and we REGRET doing that!!!! The another company come into our home and replaced the pipes. When they were finished, we were really unhappy with their work (putting it lightly). The guy was very unprofessional and his work looked like it was put together by a child. Not only did it look bad, it was leaking after he left!! So we had to have him come out to fix the leak and he ended up charging us an additional $150 for a part that HE broke!! A couple of days later, I saw Rene at the store and told him about the horror show in our basement. He immediately drove right over to our house to see the damage, gave us an estimate (which was MUCH less than the other company) and told us that he would be at our house in 3 days to fix the mess! When Rene showed up, it was as if a family member had walked in. He sat down and drank a cup of coffee (that we offered), and had quite the conversation with our children (2.5 and 3.5 years old) - they liked him so much, they painted him a picture! He was very professional and courteous. Rene fixed the horror show in our basement. He used the nice black pipes and took care in making the pipes look discreet (which was a huge concern of ours). I cannot believe how good it looks!! When you walk down into the basement, you cannot see the pipes coming from the tub and sink. It almost looks like there is more space! I HIGHLY recommend Rene to anyone looking for any kind of plumbing needs. Again, he is very professional and cares about your needs. We called RB Plumbing based on a referral from a neighbor and very glad we did. Called to address a weeping, corroded copper elbow (Hot Water to kitchen sink) and some "sag" in our sewer out PVC lines. I had called Thursday and Rene (owner( noted he would get in touch early next week. He called Sunday morning and said he was in the area and able to look at the 2 items - which was great as we were home and would not have to schedule around work. Rene showed up with a fresh Apple Pie (no kidding - done for all new customers apparently) and a friendly demeanor. He got right to work on sweating the copper piping after a quick review of the house and plumbing. Our two sons (4 + 6) were home and Rene was great with them - explaining things, telling jokes, letting them play with the pipes and tools (not the torch of course). Our oldest son exclaimed, "This is so awesome seeing this Daddy" upon seeing the torch flame hit the copper. Rene was great at explaining the issue and options to address - although this was a pretty straightforward replacement he showed me gaps in the soldered joint that he just removed His work was professional and neat - and even helped clean up. We agreed to tackle the remaining hit list another day given the low priority and it being Sunday. All said and done his rates were extremely fair (hours billed and hourly rate) and we were NOT charged for Sunday time. I was looking for a master plumber to do some work at my home I was looking for someone that would do some quality work without breaking the bank. I came across Rene and Michael RB plumbing a team of brothers that have been in business for many years in Vermont with many satisfied customers. I needed a dishwasher hooked up also I had a leak under my kitchen sink that I had hired a different plumber to look at but sadly they could not find the problem, so that still left me with a leak and a mess that was till I discovered these two very polite and caring gentlemen a wonderful team that took care of my problems in a timely manner and did a great job. I will be needing a plumber in the future to help me with a project I will be doing in the spring I will be calling on them once again for their expertise and help with that. I am very pleased to have found them and they will be my plumbers for now on. Had an issue with my boiler on a Thursday- water leaking on the floor but no apparent leak or immediate emergency. I called RB Plumbing as they were local. I ended up speaking to Rene and later his wife. After describing the issue over the phone, Rene knew exactly what the issue was, he was booked solid so he fit me in on a Tuesday Morning. He arrived on time with a smile and a fresh pie! Very friendly and the gentleman he had with him was also very friendly. They got right down to the issue and was kind enough to explain to me what was going on: the cause/the fix/ what to do if something happened etc. While here I mentioned some other small issues I had going on, as well as a desire to hookup a fridge to water. "no problem" and an appointment for a future visit will be setup. Its nice in the day and age to find someone who knows his craft, greets with a smile and goes the extra mile with customer service. I was looking for a plumber in the Burlington area, and asked some of my neighbors in the building if there was one they would highly recommend. No one could "highly" recommend any plumber that they have used in the past. So I did my research, and the only plumber I could find with the best reviews is Rene of RB Plumbing, and based on this I went ahead and made an appointment. He came one day to check on what exactly needed to be done, then came back two days later (with a complimentary pie for me as a new customer!), and did a great and neat job replacing my leaking bathroom sink faucet at a fair and reasonable price. We had been without hot water through the weekend and were calling around on Monday to get someone out ASAP. We had left a message for Rene and called a few other places just in case. No other places were taking on new jobs at the time. We received a call back from RB Plumbing and were told that Rene had a job to finish up but would be out later in the day. Rene was running behind, but still came out after dinnertime to evaluate the issue. He told us we unfortunately needed a new tank. He ordered the tank for us and by the next evening he and his partner were out installing it. They had the old tank removed and the new one in, all in less than 2 hours. Rene also brought us a pie as we were first time customers and even offered to come back to help move the old tank if we needed him to. RB Plumbing (the business name for Rene Brosseau, which he pronounces "Rainy") came to our rescue when hot water vanished from our shower. Rene tried a couple of techniques to remedy our problem that would have saved us money, but after troubleshooting found that we needed a new faucet set for the bath and shower. Well, someone long before we owned the house had jury-rigged the shower plumbing in an idiotic way that made Rene's job much harder, but he persisted, and we ended up with a much better bath/shower than we had before, by far. Thing is, Rene is just about the nicest guy you'll ever meet, and it soon became apparent that we not only had found an amazingly competent plumber, but had also made a friend. My aging water heater was corroding and needed replacement and I was unhappy with my existing plumber, so began calling around. I happened across R. B. Plumbing's listing and took a chance, and could not be more pleased that I did! I called at 10 in the morning and that afternoon Rene (anglicized as "Rainy") came to have a look. I have used Rene as a plumber for years and highly recommend his work! He has done plenty of small jobs such as sink disposal and toilets for us and he has also installed two completely new hot water tank and boiler systems (in our former home and now our newer one). He is incredibly knowledgeable and does excellent work on all of these different jobs. He started by bailing me out of my effort to install a new toilet, when I encountered a highly corroded flange. He took care of that no problem and didn't make me feel small. Rene (pronounced "Rainy") is awesome. Professional, friendly, straightforward, honest, thoughtful, prompt -- actually he arrived early! -- and so on. I called him for a leaky kitchen sink. He came by the next day to take a look and make an estimate (no charge) and his conclusion was that it'd be cheaper for me to buy a new faucet than to pay him to mess around and fix this one, even though he'd probably get paid more for my initial tinkering plan. A few days later he and his brother Michael (no extra charge) replaced my faucet in about 20 minutes. I know some plumbers charge a 2-hour minimum, but he charged me less than what he quoted me as his hourly rate, which is more than fair. Rene (pronounced Rainey) was here to replace 3 toilets in our new home we just purchased. He was excellent from start to finish. From the starting calls on which toilet to the very end! He answered every question I had. He was totally personable, experienced, honest, efficient, and courteous. What I thought would take a long time ended up being only a couple hours. I've had a bit of an issue with my plumbing for a while, no crisis, but something I needed to get fixed. My kid's bathroom has been without a shower for awhile. I was out shoveling snow a couple of weeks ago and I saw a van go by, owned by R.B. plumbing, and it advertises 'no job too big or too small.' I memorized the phone number and a couple of days later I called. Rene was quick to set up an appointment and he was able to fix my problem in about an hour. When your house trap fails and you have sewage draining into your basement instead of the sewer it is tempting to call the first people you can find, but after having had previous experience with costly plumbing and subpar service we checked Yelp and found Rene with RB Plumbing. I don't know what to say. My first review, ever, but felt I had to share. Called around for a plumber to help out with alot of water coming from our first floor into the basement. Rene and his brother Mike showed up at our houses on time as he promised, we had a leaking shower faucet and could not use our shower.
