When asked to make the kids ice cream half the usual size the guy gave us attitude and said "whatever she doesn't eat just trow it away" that was not our point! This is the best ice cream place in South Florida. All the ice cream is homemade. The place is family run/operated and the family is awesome - they are ice cream geeks. Tonight I overheard one of the family discussing a new potential flavor with a customer. It was great to hear him extol qualities of this new cookie that they were thinking of making. I had Pralines & Cream tonight - it blows away Baskin & Robbins version. The store is located on small strip at Pompano Beach at end of Atlantic. Instead of vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips and cookie dough, this has chocolate ice cream with cookie dough. Some of you may be thinking this difference is nothing incredibly novel and sort of obvious. It's true, all the same favors are there, but until you have tried it you won't understand. This place is amazing! I have been coming here for years. From 5 years ago until now they have improved the quality of their ice cream a lot. Probably some of the best quality ice cream you can get. They change up flavors often, so don't get attached to any specific one. I think they rotate them periodically so if you go when it's available I would highly recommend trying the Oreo red velvet. It's absolutely amazing. The establishment has been owned by the same people for years, who are very friendly and kind. I am from Michigan and grew up eating homemade ice cream by the beach...and this place is just as amazing! The ice cream is creamy and they us flavorful ingredients that make my mouth water just thinking about it. The woman who helped us was very sweet and caring, even with our indecisive 3 year old. We will be back and you should make a point to go here when in Pompano Beach. It is better than the quick shops at the beach and is less than a block from the beach. I have been coming here for a couple of years now, they are family owned and make their own ice cream, they are quite the tourist spot. The staff is remarkably friendly and the ice cream is amazing. I only discovered this delicious homemade ice cream place on the second-to-last night of my vacation to Pompano Beach, and I am so disappointed I didn't find it sooner - I would have been there every single night! The ice cream was creamy, smooth and delicious in the way that only homemade ice cream can be. The first night I went here I got a sundae, and the second night a regular dish, and the scoops were huge! The people working there were all very friendly and chatty. My only complaint (and it is a very tiny one) is that there wasn't much room to sit and eat our ice cream. We ended up just walking back to our hotel with it.
