The stylists are friendly, helpful and skilled at what they do. I recently attended a vintage themed night there which was brilliant, they had free champagne & cupcakes (winning combo!) plus vintage clothes stalls and stylists doing vintage hair dos and make-up. Plus their latest addition, a nail bar, where you can get all the latest nail treatments and nail art plus normal manicures and painting. It's a classy establishment, so the prices aren't cheap if you want the top stylist, but you can save money by getting your hair done by their capable graduate stylist. Prices vary from £26.50 for a cut & style with a graduate, £32 with a senior stylist or £39.50 with the Style Director. They also specialise in colouring, perms, hair extensions and wedding packages. I heard a mention of a new massage bed on it's way which sounds good! Keep an eye on the website for updates on new treatments. I turned up on the day and was offered a drink while I waited (I was early!) so I enjoyed my latte and read some magazines. After my coffee I was led to one of the chairs and I talked through with my hairdresser Helen about what I wanted. After some discussion, we went ahead. I was treated to a nice head massage while getting my hair cleaned and the chair was a massage chair so it was all very relaxing. I was very pleased with the cut and I was asked how I wanted it blow-dried. This time I went for straight hair but I've had it curled and styled here before and its always been good.

I thought, on first impressions, that this is very nice, very nice and cosy indeed, but also thought they only cut and style for women - maybe it's the decor. But, no, this is a unisex salon, so they cater for us men too, and the prices for the services, being a city centre location, are very reasonable. Although she asked me what I was after, I didn't need a haircut, but she was happy to digress on prices for services. Nice large mirrors, good spaced seating and a very welcoming service. The salon has not been around for a year yet, and so is still establishing itself and some flaws need ironing out. I always come out with a style I like and most of all something that suits me. All the staff are friendly and over the years I have had my hair done by most of them at one point or another.The thing I have learnt is that they all have different skills and expertise so there is always somebody that can answer your questions, whether its about the cut, colour, or which products are best for your hair type etc. Good honest advice. They keep in touch with their clients via facebook/twitter and have even sent me birthday cards over the years with money off vouchers. My mum is also a regular at Legend and I know she would agree with me when I say that Legend are great at what they do. I think the highest compliment I can give Legend is this, while they have regular training sessions and are up on all the latest trends/colours and cuts, I am a normal everyday girl who likes my hair to look nice so I look and feel nice. This is what Legend do. They give me a great hair cut, great colour and leave me feeling confident that I look good and importantly have a style that is managable on a daily basis. So if you are looking for a friendly service that is both quality and good value then I cant recommend Legend highly enough. Oh and if your lucky they may even throw in a free cuppa!
