Your company Raytech Appliance Services was referred as a delivery service provider by Whirlpool corporation.  Back on 05-28-2021 Whirlpool submitted a work order for a new refrigerator replacement to be shipped directly to your company from the manufacturer.  Whirlpool explained that once the refrigerator arrives at Raytech they will call me and schedule a refrigerator delivery. On 05-28-2021, I called Raytech to confirm and verified they have my contact information.  I talked to Ms. Pauline Santiago (customer service) and she verified all on my information and she explained once the new refrigerator arrives at Raytech they will contact me and schedule a delivery date and time. On 07-08-2021 I still have not received any updates and decided to call both Whirlpool and Raytech for a status update.  Whirlpool explained that the refrigerator is still pending and on back order.  Whirlpool also explained that I should double check with Raytech.  On 07-08-2021 I called Raytech and talked to Ms. Carrie.  Ms. Carrie explained to me the refrigerator still has not arrived at Raytech.  She also explained that Raytech will refuse and not accept the refrigerator.   She explained due to manpower issues they are unable to delivery the refrigerator. On 07-20-2021 I called Whirlpool to get a status update.  Whirlpool explained the refrigerator is still on back order.  I also explained to Whirlpool that Raytech advised they do not have the manpower and are unable to deliver the refrigerator once it arrives at Raytech.  Whirlpool explained that they will contact Raytech themselves to confirm this information.  Whirlpool was able to contact Raytech and they confirmed they will not be able to deliver the refrigerator. I visited Raytech's website and left my concerns and comments. I did not receive any response from Raytech, as of today I still haven't received a response.  Maybe they will respond to these comments here. Overall I am very upset and very disappointed with how this situation was handled.  I understand the fact that the refrigerator is still on back order, however I am disappointed on how the customer service was handled.  When I initially called on 05-28-2021 and talked to Ms. Pauline Santiago she did not explain to me about the manpower issue or how Raytech would not be able to deliver the refrigerator.  This is poor customer service and Raytech failed to contact both Whirlpool and myself about this manpower delivery issue.  If you cannot accept the delivery job, then you need to follow-up and let both the customer and Whirlpool know!!  This is a big waste of time, money and delivery resources on Raytech's part.  Again I am very disappointed!! read more

I am sympathetic to businesses such as this. However, i'm still reeling from the experience. I have an $8500 Viking refrigerator which I bought in 2004. Recently, I noticed the freezer was accumulating ice in the freezer. When the tech arrived, he didn't run any diagnostics. He said the ice needed to melt. ($89). Five days later I received an "estimate" from them for $1500! The tech had taken the basket off of the freezer door and everything was left on the floor. He had taken the screws and put them in his pocket. But, he had mixed them with another job so I never got them back. Meanwhile, most of my freezer contents were not savageable. When I asked them how they new what the cost would be if they didn't run diagnostics. They said the estimate was the worst case scenario. I told her I wasn't paying $1500 and they soon lost interest in being of further help. They are the only authorized Viking repair company in the Fredericksburg area How sad. Lesson learned: Don't use Raytech and Never Buy a Viking (their support is extremely poor) read more

Don't do business with this company! Worst repair service I've ever dealt with. They will Nickel and dime you to death! I paid over $240 in service calls on a Frigidaire commercial refrigerator/freezer. I called called and told them unit was still not working. They said parts were on order. I called numerous times over a 2 year period: same answer "parts on order". I recently talked to someone who claimed to be the owner, but admitted he made the first service call. The secretary had said prior to talking to this individual that no owners or managers would be available for several days. They said I could start the process over: estimated cost $800 with no credit for previous payments. read more

The folks at Raytech were the most professional and personable of all the service dealers we contacted to repair our Wolfe range. They offered the fastest service of the dealers we contacted, their technician was great, and the price was fair. We're located in Charlottesville but had to go to Frederisksburg to get quality repair service. They'll be our first call next time we need service. read more

I am very dissatisfied with this repair company. I ordered a repair on a maintenance agreement with Frigidaiire. Their repair technician was very nice and polite and diagnosed the issue in the way that the manufacturer indicated in the manual after speaking with the manufacturer. He said they would need to order ports. Then I got a call from the Electrolux Service Company saying that Rayotech could not order the part and we would have to go through the process with another company. Rayotech evidently has a bad relationship with the parts supplier and cannot get parts. If this is true they won't be in business very long. read more

Called at 10:30 and they had a tech at our house 1 hour later. He was professional and polite. He made the necessary repair and had our appliance working as should be. Gave us some suggestions to keep it in proper working order. Would definitely recommend this company and would use them again read more

The tech was rude from the start. He was very sexist and condescending. After the appointment, which he abruptly ended by telling me the retailer should deal with the problem not the manufacturer, he harassed me by text...unprofessional at a minimum, and honestly frightening. read more

After contacting LG Customer Service and being referred to Raytech Appliance Service, I called and made a service request for an LG Microwave on March 2, 2017. During the processes, I had them come out for $90.00 to do a diagnostic on the microwave. The tech stated that a magnetron was need and that the part was under warranty, at no additional cost, and provided by LG. Then he stated that two additional parts were need, which would cost an additional $20. Raytech's idea of a diagnostic was, their tech only asking what was wrong with the microwave and then identifying that a magnetron was the only thing needed to be repaired in the microwave. The tech never opened the microwave to determine what was truly wrong with the microwave. Raytech made an appointment, came out, and when the tech arrived to repair the microwave, he realized that he missed another part that was faulty (this was the second visit). At this point, I get a call from Raytech saying they needed to order another part and to set a third appointment. On the day before the third appointment, Raytech called to say I needed to approve the part and set up an appointment, which I already had spoken to someone in regard to both matters. I then scheduled another appointment (4th appointment) and the morning of that appointment, they called to let me know they ordered the wrong part. At this point the microwave had been sitting in the middle of the floor for 1 1/2 months and Raytech still had to order the part and schedule a fifth appointment. I paid Less than $400 for the microwave and instead of trying to fix the microwave; they should have told me that it would be cheaper just to buy another microwave. This was the worse service ever and in the end, I had to go buy another microwave. I will never use Raytech Appliance Service again, even if I have to pay extra to get someone to come from another area. Raytech's owner, Raymond, was not accommodating and did not really care about the fact that a customer had been through such turmoil. Customer service is not his or his company's priority. If you have a need for service, calls a reputable company to perform the service. These people are not professional nor do they really care about the customer (you). People pay with money they worked hard for and Raymond's concern was that he needed to pay his service person, the same person who made all of the mistakes in the first place. read more

Worst company and waste of customer time. After repeated attempts to give Raytech my business, their customer support is absolutely lousy and unprofessional. Even after a month of making proactive attempts to still consider giving them my business, their inability to organize and return phone calls and emails forced me to rethink and give up. I even sent a formal complaint to their Raytech operations manager, Lionel Soto, who did not even have the professionalism and decency to contact me after my complaint. Any proper manager would follow due diligence by contacting the customer in an attempt to rectify the situation. I am in customer service, and can say without reservation, Raytech is absolutely on the top 3 of my list as the worst of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I agree with the other reviewer who said the technician was condescending and sexist. I'd also add arrogant to Raymond's description. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because I didn't have to wait too long for an appointment and Raymond made some adjustments to one of my appliances that I wasn't aware was an option. Of course the fact that my warranties were still in effect probably had something to do with that. Additionally, Raymond didn't have a grasp on the value of the appliances in my home and couldn't fathom that I actually knew the difference between the cubed ice and crushed ice option on my refrigerator. I need an appliance repair person again but I won't be calling Raytech. read more

Technician on-time and friendly. Quickly diagnosed problem with the washer and was honest in telling me it wasn't worth the money to fix it. The technician also helped me empty the drum of all the water that had not drained, which was above and beyond. I would definitely call this company again if I needed an appliance repaired. read more

Is it possible to give them a minus one? They took 4 months to order my part for my oven, came out to install it and couldn't ( needed another person), took another 2 weeks to call me back to reschedule for two techs to come out (extra fee for another tech) and then showed up and couldn't fix it because they were afraid that my granite wouldn't go back in place when there was nothing wrong with my granite to begin with. I would never recommend this company to anyone...overcharged me and then were rude when they came out (the owner came the 3rd time). Maybe they don't need the business?? Not only that but I was supposed to be the first call and they didn't even show up until 11am. Just too much for a service oriented company. read more

Had a new dishwasher suddenly stop working. Manufacturer made an appt with Raytech. There had been a basin full of nasty water that I bailed out. There was some I was unable to get however, Tech spent three minutes in my house before saying he knew the problem and would order the part. It would be here in a week. We waited 8 days and called. Customer Service stated they couldn't finish the job and I needed to call the Manufacturer. The tech complained of an odor. Obviously if there is water in the dishwasher that has not been sitting for two weeks that I am unable to clean out there will be an odor. Never ordered the part. Now I am stuck waiting for another repair company to come out and then order the part. I'm on chemo and managed to clean out most of the water and he can't handle a little odor? Sounds like he's in the wrong business! Wouldn't have bothered me so bad if he had at least told us he couldn't do it. read more

show up july 11th 2013 for fridge ice maker repair and tells us the reason why it is not making any ice because we need a water new filter. we head to best buy and pay $43 for a new water new filter. Ice maker still did not work as i expected. then they tell me they are going to order parts and in 2 to 3 business day it will be here and tech shows up on wednesday July 17th with NO parts for my fridge and still tries to tell it is the water filter and i told him NO, that is a brand new water filter. It is NOT water filter and where are my parts that you are suppose to show up with today??? he does not have an answer and says he is going to order them today which is wednesday. it is now FRIDAY July 19th, 2013 and i call the office and they still have NOT order my parts!!! lady tells me she is going to order them today. say what??? that's what i've been hearing 3 or 4 times so far! i am without an ice maker and have already paid!! what is wrong with this picture??? what is wrong with this company they can't get their act together. horrible. 3 weeks after initial assessment of warranty-covered washer, the tech, raymond soto stated he couldn't do the job because of offensive odor. i do have cats, but no one has ever complained and my a.c repairmen worked all day right next to litter boxes!!! they did not want to do the work due to warranty and not being able to rip me off. try to call--rarely will you get a live person to answer the phone. shady business. read more
