I did, and Joe Curry showed up the next day with a new bladder tank. He had it installed within 2 hours. My point is that Steve went out of his way to ensure that my problem would be handled, even if it meant handing it off to a competitor. Who the hell does that?

The 2 guy's who showed up were very nice, and confirmed my diagnosis. They replaced the pump and got us going in 2 hours. A textbook replacement. The work was done well. The only concern is they were very expensive. $1500. for labor, plus the new components were marked up more than 100% each. We were in a situation with no water. I should have done my homework. After the fact, I got estimates from other companies I had called, and could have saved $800.

Once the tech did finally come out (Kyle was a really good tech) it was again very hard to schedule a follow up for the sales person to come out to go over pricing. After telling family that I have other companies coming out much faster than they are, The sales guy they sent (Kevin) was not helpful/nice and didn't seem to care if we went with Family or not. Didn't take the time to discuss the warranty, financing options, and other general questions that anyone might have in the situation. He was over for about 5 minutes which was basically pointless and couldn't even give me an installation date he just told me to "call the office". The other companies I had come out really took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns about the new AC unit and made sure I understood what they were offering before they had left. They both called their schedulers while they were at my house to see when the earliest date for install I could get was. As someone who had just spent a good chunk of money with Family just 5 months ago it was disappointing to see as I would have used family again if they had just been a little more helpful and actually acted like they wanted my business. Kyle the Tech and Tasha front desk were nice and helpful, but Kevin the sales guy pretty much killed any chance of me using Family again. Side note: the other companies, and the company I ended up going with will waive the $100 fee that all companies charge when a tech comes out the first time for inspection. if you end up using them to get an AC, furnace etc replaced they will refund you the full amount. Family does not offer this and only gives you half back. Not a huge deal but seems pretty cheap and tacky when you're going to spend thousands of dollars on a new system.

I was referred to Jim Layman Well Drilling from several people. I called Jim Layman and he was at my house within 24 hours. He estimated the job and gave me a rough timeline on the project. His price was very competitive. I hired him and his crew did a fantastic job. The way he did the job I was without water for maybe a total of 4 hours over a 2 day period. They do bring in a big truck to drill so the well area will be torn up a bit but they do level out the area the best they can. Overall a great experience with this company.
