Scheduled a visit on the same day, quickly diagnosed the issue and clearly explained to me what it was. Since the dishwasher was old, we decided to replace it instead of spending on it. Ely has done work for us in the past too and I've found him reliable. Thanks, Ely!

Over the span of two weeks, I've…read moreworked with Eli three times, and each visit reinforced how much expertise he brings to refrigerator diagnosis and detailed repair work. He does great work and charges what I think are very reasonable prices for the level of skill and quality involved. The first call was at my mother-in-law's house, where Eli diagnosed a broken compressor in her refrigerator that had stopped cooling. He did a great job working with my mother-in-law whose first language is not English. She was very happy. A few days later, he came to our house after some interior lights stopped working following a deep cleaning. He fixed the lights, then went well beyond that. Our freezer door hinge wiring harness had snapped nearly every wire inside, which had also taken out the ice maker. I'd honestly written the ice maker off after a few failed attempts to repair it myself, but Eli came in and showed it could absolutely be fixed, and done right. He patiently soldered and extended close to ten broken wires, heat-sealing and re-sheathing each one so the same failure wouldn't happen again. His fix also cost much less than replacing the whole door which was what I thought was going to have to be done. Finally, when we noticed water pooling under the refrigerator a few days later, Eli came back and dug into the back of the unit to clear a clogged compressor drain. He cleaned everything out in the process and helped put everything back together perfectly. It's more than just his expertise that I appreciated. Eli is friendly, honest, easy to work with, and a just a nice guy. He also took the time to engage with our three-and-a-half-year-old son, who was glued to every step of the repairs at our house, and made him feel like part of the project. Ever since, our son has been busy "fixing" everything in the house with his own toy tools. I'm really happy to have found Eli and SmartFix. He's the first person I'll be calling for any future appliance work at our home. Thank you, Eli!

On Google these guys have a 5/5 rating for hundreds of reviews. The moment I called them up I knew…read morethe reason why. John and Jonathon or Jon squared as I like to call them, were super helpful in taking me out of a terrible situation. When I bought my used GE stove I was troubleshooting an issue with the igniter circuit which snowballed into a bigger problem when I bent the two front orifices. On eBay I was looking at paying over 70 dollars for the two and would have to wait over a week for the parts. I called them up and without hesitation they ordered the parts for me, no payment required over the phone. I ordered the parts on Tuesday. They received them on Thursday. 50 dollars for both orifices (cheaper than eBay). Had them installed within the hour and my wife couldn't have been happier. In person at the store both were very helpful and positive about any questions I asked, even when posed with unrelated questions such as "what's good to eat around here" lol. If you have appliance needs, parts, service, questions, a friendly person to cheer up your day with some quick banter, these are the guys to call. If I could rate higher than a 5 I would. They almost made me glad to have broken my stove, just because I was blessed with the opportunity of meeting such nice people, running an honest business and to get to experience such great customer service. Thank you Jon Squared!

After doing some research online and following some troubleshooting guides, determined that we needed a Water Pressure Sensor. It seems it was not uncommon for this part to fail and the replacement process was simple and straight foward. Called a few other appliance parts stores, no one had the part in stock. Appliance Parts Company had the part in stock at fair price and put the part on hold for me to pick up. Nothing fancy about the location, none needed for appliance parts store. Friendly staff. I have added them to my contact list for future reference if I ever need appliance parts again in the future. Got home popped the part in and was up and running in no time. Now just have to deal with cleaning up the water and drying the carpet in the family room, but at least I can wash and dry towels to soak up more water and repeat. ;)

Not a good thing when you're baking and end up with dry cupcakes and flat cookies. I called up Airport Appliance where I purchased my range but no longer in business and given the Viking Range (1888-845-4641) support. Based on location I was referred to De Anza Appliance in San Jose. Chris was very friendly, responsive and mentioned at the onset the visit would be $200. Ouch! Turned out to be an excellent choice. I sent out my "SOS" on a Sunday afternoon and got a response within 30 minutes fain Marian offering a mid-day Monday service visit. I said yes, he arrived as promised (with an advanced message saying he was on his way). He had the problem correctly diagnosed in about a minute, and the needed part available, and had it installed all in less than an hour. I thought his price was reasonable, particularly in light of the excellent super fast service. Marian is now in our contacts for the first one we'll call if (probably when) we need another appliance service. Overall, excellent, fast friendly service. Can't ask for more. Thanks.

Most think the homeowners are not knowledgeable and we aren't, otherwise we would fix it ourselves. However, we have everything else you need to be a judge of a clean, knowledgeable, honest, and efficient repair person. Marian's first visit was to vacuum out our Thermador refrigerator and garage fridge. I wasn't in the mood to meet him but my husband told me how he worked. I liked what I heard. About 2 weeks later the heavier door on the Thermador fridge slumped. To be honest, it wasn't to my satisfaction brand new, the door was sticking out a little but after a remodel of the entire home, one gets burnt out. Marian fixed the door better than the brand new one installed and showed us why and how the problem happened. The stove he changed the lights effectively and fast. Then the big question came from me, can you take the oven door off and take it apart to be cleaned? I've asked 2 other appliance companies if they could but they said it takes a long time and is not easy. Then I said, I can make a new appointment for this for you to come back. He said, he could fix it now. My oven door has 3 glasses. To watch him take off the door and apart was pretty amazing because of his calm, perfected work speed and stress-free demeanor. We all know talent when we see it. I think by now, I told him 3 times how happy I was, and thank you too. Lastly, if you are wise enough to call him for help then you must have done many great things in life to get him. Also, YES his prices are well thought out and fair and reasonable. If you are the kind of person who tries to get a lower price from businesses, don't call because you don't deserve him.
