BEST PIZZA IVE HAD IN YEARS. Honestly…read more I was astonished by how good the pizza is here after first coming here a month ago with friends from overseas after exploring Wilsons Prom. The base is thin, and freshly made, you can watch it being cooked in the kitchen's large stone oven. I've just eaten here again, and the pizza was consistently just as good. Unfortunately the bruschetta bread was over-toasted and my glass of Pinot Noir was a bit vinegary. That said, this place still deserves a FIVE. Staff typical small town very polite, especially the few attractive young ladies. There's also an illegal blonde (dyed hair), who is very flirty, and judging by her excellent, confident and gracefully swift manner is probably owner or manager. This place also has a Deli and a Tourist Info office. So pizza just as tasty as the Wilsons Prom National Park is mesmerizing. High praise, consistently well deserved.

The pizza is top notch; even close to the great pizza you get when you're in Napoli. Good selection of beers on top (although Ichnusa and Peroni are not great Italian beers - there are some great boutique beers coming out of Bologna you should add to your list) , and an excellent selection of Australian and Italian wines. If you're in the neighbourhood, make sure you drop by.

We chose to split a salad, the bread and olives, and a pizza. While I like veggie pizza, husband likes meaty pizza so we asked if they could do a half and half. While they said, they don't usually do that, they made an exception for us. We love that focus on the customer and appreciate the accommodation. All the food was excellent. We were debating about all three salads and our server suggested the one we got and we were not disappointed. Such a nice light dressing and lots of veggies. For dessert, we had the affogato. I love that dessert. So simple but delicious. Husband hates coffee and loves ice cream. I love both so works for both of us.

It was a fairly large restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating. Decor was nice with an unusual display of motorcycle outfits mounted to the walls. We were promptly seated and asked a couple times by different staff if we were ready to order. It seemed like there was a lack of coordination. However, after placing our order it did take awhile to flag a waiter's attention to get water refills and later one to go box for leftovers. In general the pastas were good in size but a bit lacking in flavors and seasoning. The bolognese and arrabiatta tasted about the same. The chicken risotto was watery instead of creamy. The romana pizza turned out to be the best of all the dishes we tried that night. At the end of the meal, we paid at the counter in front.

This place is really unassuming from the outside, but their pizza is delicious!…read more We went on a quiet Saturday night, not expecting much, and were really pleasantly surprised. The lady behind the counter was SUPER nice and explained to us the different pizza options. I got the vegetarian pizza with no cheese to make it vegan (their pizza bases are vegan) and no onions. I'm always wary of rocking up to a regular pizza place and asking for no cheese, because you never know how the pizza's going to turn out. Some pizza places just rely so heavily on that gooey cheese taste to mask the inadequacies of their sauce and ingredients. Well, not true here -- the sauce is DELICIOUS! It was nicely tangy and really made the pizza worthwhile even without cheese. Really great for people who are lactose-intolerant or avoiding dairy for health or ethical reasons. Would be great if they could offer Bio-Cheese or another vegan cheese like a lot of pizzerias are starting to do, but hey, maybe someday. The price was also great -- my vegetarian pizza was $10 for a large, and the portion sizes are good. I had enough to eat for two days, so if you're a tourist visiting Cowes for the day and don't want to be hassled with carting around any leftovers, definitely get the small. Ambience-wise, don't expect much -- it's definitely more of a take-away-joint kind of a vibe rather than a cozy eat-in experience, but it's perfectly fine for what it is.
