I have purchased cupcakes that looked like flowers (SOOOO CUTE) for my mother in law. Love that they sell cake slices, and never just one flavor -- always quite the selection-- and ALL are fantastic!!! I would not be able to pick A FAVE, they are so darn good. Had other little desserts that they will have on the counter, whether cookies or pastries, all are so delish. Taste like my idea of a perfect buttercream.

We ordered a few appetizers and entrees, and everything was made with attention to detail and delicious seasoning. The ambiance was cozy and had a welcoming vibe. Back to the BEST food item in New Orleans, do not sleep on their unique savory beignets. They were bursting with flavor, and we found nothing else like them. I highly recommend this signature dish, which was beautifully presented and loaded with layers of flavor that we can still vividly remember. While I didn't try a huge selection of goods, if the Blueberry Lemon cupcake is any indication, their cupcakes are MOIST and flavorful! My fave item I tasted was the strawberry cookie. It had a slight cake taste/texture and the white chocolate chips added a creamy richness YUM! The item I got for myself was a slice of cheesecake. You're allowed to add toppings like fruit or chocolate free of charge. I got chocolate and pecans - glad I added this because sadly I didn't love the cheesecake. It lacked sweetness and there were tiny clumps throughout. The best part is the prices! "Instagram" bakeries are dominating the game right now, and they can hurt the pockets, but Fudge It has beautiful, yummy treats at a very reasonable price point!

This now sixth-generation family bakery continues to follow the same simple, time-tested process that began in 1884 and nothing besides the delicious products represents this more than the historic structure that houses this hometown specialty bakery. Nothing says Louisiana like a taste of this delicious french bread hot from the oven, from the crusty exterior and light velvety interior it's needs nothing to take you back in time although a slab of salted butter could take the experience over the top. The staff here is so friendly and accommodating and are eager to share a part of the history - it's like no other place I've been, it was definitely a joy to see a business still operating much as it did when it started more than 142 years ago, this is a rare and unique opportunity to not only see but actually taste a bite of history and tradition. This was definitely on my radar as a place to visit and a place I plan to return too when visiting the area.
