There were some hardcore Sunday shoppers here and rightly so this place is beautiful. Full on country side vibe with every possible flower and shrub imaginable! I got my trolley and causally stilled around the centre settling on buying some sunflowers and other really hard to pronounce types of flowers for my mom and dads front garden. I have no idea who named some of these varieties of flowers....but they went innnnn...I won't lie a lot of them I couldn't pronounce but I gave it a good go..with varying results.... The flowers here are super cheap too the sunflowers were like 1.50 each and most pots are below £3...bargains galore!! The only thing to note is the tills are busy...people are flocking for a wide for those bargain blooms so set out an afternoon for this trip it's definitely going to take you a a few to see everything and pay....but that's the vibe surely...loved it.

I was particularly impressed by their bedding selection; they had duvets by brands such Cath Kidston and Designers Guild selling for around only £30, which is quite incredible (though absolutely infuriating for me as I've just spent a fortune on Designers Guild bedding from the brands website). Additionally they had a massive selection of photo frames, in wide range of varieties, in my opinion these would make great gifts for those it's trick to by for. I wasn't to keen on the actual furniture available in Homesense (mainly just small chairs). The quality just did not appear quite good enough, and many of the pieces looked rather tacky. I was surprised to find that they also sell a small range of specialty foods. Nothing to grand, mainly pasta, olive oil, and Italian biscuits, but they're brands that you won't find in your local supermarket. I've really only touched the tip of the ice berg, Homesense just sells so much! It rather reminds me of TK Maxx, you need time and patience, but you could come away with some real bargains!

They sell everything imaginable in the gardening sphere, and secured a real coup by being the first garden centre in the UK to be permitted to sell the Wollemi Pine to the public. (For non-botanists, this is a rare pine thought to be extinct, but rediscovered in Australia in 1994: fewer than 100 adult trees survive in the wild, so it is being propagated around the world). This reflects their reputation as a high-quality plant nursery, and is about as high a commendation as you could get. The retail section also sells a wide range of other gardening and outdoor merchandise, from books, cards, ornaments, scented candles and crockery to pets and pet supplies, garden furniture, hot tubs, outbuildings and machinery. There's also a cafe-restaurant, and an extensive play area for children, which includes a large mock-up of a pirate ship. As you'd expect (given its location on the A38, close to to junction 22 of the M5), there's extensive car parking, but the centre also provides a free bus on Thursdays from Cheddar via Weston-super-Mare - details on the web-site.

However, this is a cute little antique store with a variety of things from furniture, to knick knacks, prints, etc. We came looking for antique furniture, and while they didn't have what we were looking for, we did find a pair of unique cufflinks. Location has ample free parking which is very convenient. It definitely has a little something for everyone.

Jeffries is a huge hardware business that stocks all the standard nuts and bolts plus a huge selection of outdoor planting, perfect for this time of year, and has a large gardening section at the rear of the store. Recently I was after some fence protector and after a visit to a huge DIY shop felt frazzled by the choice in products, colours and price. One trip to Jeffries and I got exactly what I needed, no fuss, a great price and I parked my car at the rear of the store to load up. I also recently discovered they do key cutting. They stock a wide selection of pet products. The beauty of this place is that they've always got what you need and know exactly what you are asking for. On the very slim chance they don't stock what you are after they know where you should go to get it. Amazing staff and service.

I came in here in search of a few things for home and, I don't mean to offend anybody by stereotyping, as a woman in a hardware store I didn't know where to look first. The staff were friendly and polite enough however to put me in the right direction. If you need any hardware for your home and garden then it's worth giving this store a visit.
