I needed desperately to find someone trustworthy, didn't know who to trust. My '12 Jeep GC Laredo 5.7 Hemi had a coolant system meltdown out on I395 near Putnam on way to work in Mass. I had towed it to Putnam CJDKia... and they didn't just have the service staff resources to tackle it, and the more I researched them, the less keen I was on letting them work on it anyway. How I selected: Took some time, did some research with RepairPal, Yelp, and others, and filtered out the obvious "hater" junk on repair centers in the area. I settled on trying Raymond's Auto Repair, near my home. Upped my AAA membership (tow range) and hauled it there when it was in effect. Pricing was great: I had guestimated what was wrong with the car, got estimates on what that kind of work would cost via "repairpal.com" then called Raymonds and told them the breakdown details. They pretty much confirmed suspicions, gave their estimates of costs, which was very close to repairpal estimates, by the way. They estimated $1300 on first discussion as a rough estimate, and the real bill for the running, repaired car was $1200 (starter, waterpump, sensor, belt, hoses, press check, diagnose, and road test). Their mechanics were available, and Matt completed the work in a couple of days (you gotta give time for parts delivery, people). Friendliness of Staff: From the manager (Joey?) who gave the first estimate, to Jackie (front desk), to Matt (mechanic), everyone was professional, and even patient with my "DIY mechanic babble". I'd go there again. Already recommended it to my best friends. Looks like they do cars, trucks, and RVs too. What also made this place different: Matt also calmed some fears - when your car is sick, you fear the worst. Matt's first assessment about how bad this issue was, was 100% correct. I almost didn't go to Raymond's after reading a couple of bad reviews. Everybody has their own experience, but every time I've had work done at Raymond's it has been a positive experience. The first time I went there with some problem with my F250 (it's been a few years and I forgot what the problem was), they said it was no big deal and that I should just leave it as is. They were right. It went away. Today I basically gave them a blank check to fix my brakes, emissions test, and fix a slow tire leak. They called to say that I do not need any brake work because it was likely due to how little I use the truck and that with use it will go away. They did fix the tire and will do emissions tomorrow. To me that is the sign of an honest garage. Anybody else would likely have done a bunch of unnecessary brake work and sent me a huge bill. I'll go back someday when I have a real problem. read more

I have been going to Raymond's for as long as I can remember. They have the best and most friendly mechanics. Being a family owned business, they really make sure that every customer feels they are getting the best service for their vehicles. My whole family brings their cars to Raymond's and many of my friends as well. You get excellent, quality service and they have no problem explaining to you exactly what your car needs in order for you to be safe on the road. They even towed my car for me after a horrible accident and were there for me when insurance had it totaled and helped me find the right used car to replace it. Cars are not cheap to fix, we all know that! But, with Raymond's, I am always receiving a fair estimate for repairs because it comes with a guarantee that trustworthy and reliable mechanics are making sure my family and I are safe. read more

I feel like a part of the family. Since I've had my first vehicle I've been bringing my business to Raymond's due to their honest and trustworthy opinion and years of experience. One thing to know about Raymond's is that they've been in business for over 3 decades and have been a staple to North Franklin. I haven't owned brand-new off-the-lot vehicles, so I know that a few times a year it'll need some work done. I firmly know that when I bring my car(s) to them, I first off always get a happy face and a "lets get you back on the road- here is how to keep you safe", and secondly, some preventative measures so that I won't be back any time soon. I was very impressed with the honesty and service provided when I brought in my Jimmy, the engine failure could have been a complete replacement but Joey (co-owner) recommended a solution.
