They have a cabin where you can buy refreshments like cocoa and marshmallow snowmen, and they sell other things like ornaments and decorations. It's always better to cut down your REAL tree, than get it from a lot. These trees stay so fresh, that you actually feel sad putting it to the curb after Christmas.

My husband and I both have small collections of specific Antiques, and we always hope find something new to add. The owner at Gull Cottage was very knowledgeable about her saleable collections, and she was incredibly welcoming. We all enjoyed chatting while I made a few discoveries to purchase; also there was a beautifully maintained yard, with a garden, on the property that my two girls enjoyed playing in as we shopped. Available parking is limited, but fits perfect with the quaint ambiance of the property and the shop. I know I'll stop by here again next time I'm in this area, and I can't wait to see what new items they may have.

The store front doesn't look like much so expect to shop in something that looks like someones house. They have bulk food items such as spices, rice, flours, sugar, etc. The have some fabric but it's mostly the kind you would use for sewing Amish clothing. There are a TON of canning supplies available for much cheaper than you can buy them elsewhere. Plenty of cooking supplies, farm supplies, and home baked treats. UPDATE. We had to replace the HWH burner assembly because he was trying to relight the pilot and…read morecaught it on fire. Broke out the viewing window of the pilot light on my hot water heater and seriously dented my hot water heater. Also jacked up my access door. When I called him about the next day about it he said "you must have had somebody else out there or how else would you know?" Ultimately had another plumber (my father) diagnose that needed a new gas valve and, because Marty caught it on fire, a burner assembly. BTW Marty also told me it was impossible to get a new gas valve for my hot water heater. Ordered on Amazon and delivered in two days. The parts were $300. He wanted to replace and quoted me $1,200. Communication impossible. If you call him he may call you back or he may not. Depends if he needs work this week or if he likes you. Twice he has just shown up at my house without calling at all. Including the original service call. He also likes to share his negative opinions about "you people coming up here and expecting blah blah blah." Meaning those of us who contribute to the very seasonal economy in Lexington. I've spoken to two others who will never use him again because his work was shoddy and his opinions were too freely expressed. As he left me there with a broken hot water heater, he said he could maybe come back in August when he wasn't so busy and suggested I lay a black hose in the sun for hot water and walked away laughing. So, unless you grew up with him, and that's a smaller pool all the time, I recommend a before and after picture with him IN IT. BTW when I saw his truck in Town I saluted him with the traditional finger reserved for people who have screwed you over. Not mature but darn it he makes me so mad. He turned his truck around, chased me down a street to a friends driveway where he started shouting that I was "that crazy lady" (apparently you're crazy if you don't like paying people $200 cash to break your stuff and then call him out on it) and, after that very professional exchange of views (not) he shouted to me, "get a bigger bike LARD ASS." We went over the home, foundation, electrical, water, roofing, walls, plumbing, on and on and on. If you choose someone other than this company, you will never know what you missed out on. My wife and I were so pleased, and it made the decision to purchase this house with confidence. New home purchase. My whole house inspector was Marvin B. I specifically looked for an inspector…read morewho could do other tests, such as using a thermal camera and testing for radon. However, right before my inspection I found out these other services could not be provided. My home inspector provided great pictures and a lot of issues were in the report. However, my home inspector missed a lot of big concerns. The electrical was all messed up and needed rewiring (not too expensive to fix but this was a missed fire hazard). The new furnace was installed incorrectly and the furnace venting was too small ($5,000 bill). The electrical outlets weren't even grounded. How does a home inspector missed that?? It literally is just putting in a cheap testing device into the outlets to check them.
