In March of 2005, my wife began the refinancing of her home. As part of the refinance, a new…read moresurvey was required. Unfortunately, the finance company selected First Coast Land Surveying to do the job. We received a copy of the survey # 4615, dtd 4 Apr 05. Based on the survey, we installed fencing and plantings. Imagine our shock when our Neighbor verbally assaulted us 2 1/2 years later and claimed we were trying to steal his land based on a survey he had done by First Coast Land Surveying. Attempts to have the owner of First Coast Land surveying resolve the issue were for naught. Our neighbor took us to court, but since we both had raised seals surveys from the same company, there was no way to determine who was right. Only after we filed a complaint with state did First Coast Land Surveying redo our survey (4615a, dtd 3 Apr 2008), but never provided a raised seal copy. We are in the process of selling the property now and I emailed First Coast Land Surveying to ask for a couple of raised seal copies of the 3 Apr 2008 corrected survey. I was told they don't provide any copies more than 2 years old. Clearly, First Coast Surveying has no interest in customer service. Avoid this company; any other company can't be as bad as this one.
