Every time I've gone in someone has greeted me and asked if I needed any help. This past Saturday I literally brought my TV with me because I can't find the proper screws for the base. A younger guy took the screw I had most recently purchased (my 3rd attempt), sized it and then took several attempts to find the correct screw. He was running in and out of the store to fit it on the TV (never ended up finding it). At one point another guy was helping us too. This type of service would NEVER happen at the big box stores or even most of the small-town stores. Very appreciative and will visit this store before I go into town to the big box store!

The store's staff was extremely helpful and recommended several products that could safely secure our loose items. In addition to giving good advice, the store manager came outside to the parking lot and hooked up the straps checking them to make sure we were safe to leave. Finally, he gave us some tips and showed us how to hook up the straps if they were to come loose on our trip home. We left in awe at the customer service we received and will continue to recommend this business.

3/24/25. I stopped at Menards after work to buy 3 boards for shelves, needed for an inexpensive, do…read moreit myself project. I found the wood area, but the wood was too long. I needed help and advice, I could find no one. I then found another area that sold finished shelves, again no associate could be found. It was so noisy in the store, it was causing me frustration. The music was loud and playing fast rock, there was a TV in the corner that was loudly talking about cupboards and every few minutes, the "save big money at Menards" song played. The volume to the theme song was louder than the music! Since the store is so big, I called the service desk and asked them to send an associate. I also stated, it was so loud in the store that I thought I was going to have a breakdown! Of course, an exaggerated statement coming from my frustration. Two younger girls showed up with very condescending attitudes. Actually, they were rude. I went back to the lumber area, a young man showed me where shorter boards could be found. I had to go upstairs and carry the 3 boards down the stairs myself. Associate James, walked right by me and made no eye contact. I needed wood screws, I guess I interrupted him by asking where I could find wood screws. He bluntly said, yep, over here. He walked way ahead of me to the screws, when I got there, he waved his hand and said, here they are! The WHOLE experience was AWFUL! I have spent a lot of money in their store, recently having purchased a washer and dryer. I commend associate Stacey, she has always been so helpful and she treats customers with respect.

Very poor service. I have taken my snowblowers and lawnmowers for repairs and maintenance. On…read moreoccasions they didn't even call when the item was repaired and ready to pick up. On other occasions, the repairs were done incorrectly, had to take it back again, and then charge me again. Not any more. I have found a different place. The work is done promptly, politely, and half the price.

We seriously looked like fish out of water (no pun intended) in that we were looking for fishing gear because we left all ours back in Chicago. The guy who ran the fishing and tackle department was so knowledgeable and even pointed us to the sale isle in that we were looking for something for the kids. The place was clean and organized - complete with an old fashioned popcorn maker and that darn gumball machine that my kids go crazy for. The nice young man at the counter and my husband exchanged about their military experiences and thank you's and we were on our way. BUT - that's not all! There was a great little market in the adjacent lot on Friday afternoon where we picked up some fresh veggies, bread and meat for dinner. Very charming place -- treated like the first customers of the day, even though we most likely kept them after close. Thanks Koltes!
