The dental office has such a pleasant atmosphere, the space is very clean and contemporary. They have plenty of private parking and are in a nice upcoming location. Staff is very kind from the moment you enter the building to the moment you leave. Ray has done a fantastic job at building a great team base. Dental professionals are very professional, knowledgeable, kind & they are gentle and considerate of your comfort during the procedures. I personally see Dr. Friedman & I can appreciate his kindness, eye to detail and honesty. I also adore his assistant Emerson who is so sweet and very good at her job. Went here with a chipped build up and the dentist told me he has to either do a root canal or pull it. Kept saying thousands on thousands to save the tooth.... orchard meadows fixed it with a simple build up and now I'm getting fit for a crown with orchard meadows. I wouldn't even send my enemies to ray dental. Where do I start with this company? They are truly the absolute worst! They messed up scheduling several times, only for them to call and remind me to make an appointment, but what happened to the one I had scheduled? They recommended to have my daughters tooth pulled because it had no enamel on it and it was beyond decay. So they sent us to the oral surgeon and he was rude and seemed pressed for time. We then went to an endodontist and he said there was enamel in the tooth and pointed out to us how the untrained person could tell and said the tooth is fine and doesn't need to be pulled. Also, the dentist at Ray and used there were 9 cavities that needed filled. The endodontist said there are 2. Wow! I then went in for a normal cleaning and check up and all they did is run Expensive xrays on us and said they didn't have time for a cleaning yet that's what my appointment was for. During this appointment I literally witnessed the doctor throwing a tantrum because my child still had her tooth and that wasn't the care he recommended for her. He then basically told me I was a liar because the endodontist wouldn't have done that work with out his say so. I told the dentist that I didn't do the work myself and still have the receipt if he wanted to look at it. He then started backing down. I later received a bill for X-rays because they took more than the insurance allowed. They didn't have my permission to do so. They are absolutely awful and don't care about you and your family, just your money! read more

Ray Dental is the worst experience I've had at a dental office. I went to have bridge replaced. They took old bridge and fitted me so the could make a new one. The temp bridge was put in by two assistant. They put temp in and sent me on my way with no instructions just see you on two weeks. Well the gums around the bridge were beginning to swell and hurt I could feel something up there so I figured I must of got food up there so I just put up the pain and took a medicine for the pain and also the bleeding of my gums every time I brushed. Went in for my permanant bridge on my appointment day pretty excited about Mt new bridge because the pain was getting worse I explained this to the girls when I went in. While holding a mirror up and them removing the temp they pulled out a wire from my gum area. They had made a mistake and left a wire in my mouth when the put temp in. Dentist came in and apologized to me and said that should of never happened. He had to work on my mouth and had to give me shots for numbing and uses some sort of sautéing gun to try and see if he could get my permanent in he could not do it my gums were to swollen. Then those assistants made me appointment for 3 weeks and I had to go home with Temps back in. I woke up the next day had to miss work due to my face hurting so bad and a migraine. It felt like someone punch me in the face real hard. Well the Temps did not last about two weeks later when swelling went down the temp bridge fell out called the next day extremely mad and ask to talk to someone in charge. I told how this has caused me time money and grief they charged me 1496.00 after insurace. She had me come in that day and I heard a ton of I am sorry but I felt the denist was heartfelt when I was ready to go I expected them to give me my money back or at least half. The lady gave me target gift certificate and said by yourself something nice. They actually had the nerve to give me 25 dollar gift certificate. I am reporting them to dental association of rapid city and I will be writing a letter to the owner about the treatment I received. I feel insulted and I will never go back to them ever. read more

Love my dentist. . .some of the staff, not so much. I needed a crown. I've had the "same day crown" done by another dental group. This one did not go so well. The dentist was great! The tech had problems with the camera in getting pictures for the computer to work on the crown. It would have been nice if she had just told me she was having problems with the camera. My jaw ached for the next 3-1/2 days. This had nothing to do with the crown placement. It was due to keeping my mouth wide open for an extended period of time while the tech tried to get pictures over and over. The camera was replaced the next week. I wish that had been the only problem. We were overcharged two years ago. It took three weeks to get a check. Now, I know to pay AFTER the insurance company sends the EOB. Funny, the dental group never mentioned the over payment. Why did I have to call twice? I figured it was just an error. Now, that my husband has been charged for a procedure that was not done, it seems to be a recurring problem. I called (it is my insurance coverage). I was told I would be called back. Well, that didn't happen. I stopped by, (it is 60 miles one way). Oh, they didn't call back because we wouldn't be happy with the answer. BEWARE!!! If you have any allergies to ANY medications, beware of Ray Dental. Although the staff themselves are extremely kind, my dentist was unconcerned with the OBVIOUS infection in my wisdom tooth and rather than follow typical procedure of prescribing antibiotics to address the swelling, (when hearing of my business with competing dentist offices) insisted the tooth be abstracted immediately with no regard to the pain I was enduring. Once the tooth was abstracted (and Novocain wore off) , the pain was debilitating and I maintained that the throbbing/swelling was in my cheek, NOT at the abstraction site. As this business is basically closed on Fridays, I spoke with the receptionist who KNOWINGLY gave me prescriptions I was (and had verbally cautioned and written down) deadly allergic to. When I explained this, AMY, said simply that there was nothing else they would do and if I was allergic, my pharmacy would not fill the prescription regardless. "So.... I'm out of luck all around."-I frowned and she agreed. After several calls and cautioning at the liability of prescribing a dangerous, allergy-inducing medication to someone who had openly discussed the reaction- I was told the liability was on me and the pharmacy because she had told me I was allergic to my medication. I could "Surely come back Monday to discuss it." At which point, I was hung up on mid-sentence. And no, I did not use any foul or threatening language. DO NOT GO to Ray Dental. I'm telling you as someone who has never written a nasty review in my life. (seriously, never) It is DANGEROUS. Especially DTS Anh Harper. My entire family goes to Ray Dental---we are ALL going elsewhere from now on. DO NOT DO IT. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. read more

This was the first time going here and had an appointment with Dr. Harper and this was the worst experience I have had. Didn't feel welcomed with her and just overall not a good time. I will be going back but request one of the other Doctors, I have heard wonderful things from my friends about the other two but will never see her again. read more
