They never called to update us and I finally had to call them after 7 weeks. They explained our meat was finishing up being processed that afternoon and we could pick it up frozen on Saturday (today). We arrived at 9 am when they opened. The place smelled horribly of blood when you walked in the door. When they finally brought out our meat to be loaded, 75% of the hamburger was not frozen with blood dripping from the bags, some of the bags the hamburger was packaged in were busted open, and many of the metal clamps meant to seal the bags were coming off. I would never recommend anyone go here for meat processing of any kind.

That this store exists, let alone thrive in the a market such as Danville is amazing. (Danville, is probably one of the least vegetarian, no vegetable unfriendly cities I've ever been to, anywhere in the world. ) There is not a huge selection of produce, but enough to make a difference and if I lived in Danville I could survive by shopping at this store. (God knows I couldn't survive with the restaurant selection. There are some notable products they carry such as Cascade Fresh yogurt, Field Roast grain meats, and veggie chips. I love it. There is also quite a selection of bulk items, which is impressive. Additionally there is a large selection of organic food as well. And this place was so busy, every one standing around getting mad. One check out open with a cashier, and the self check out deserted by the crying employee and her friends!! Many people do not realize this, and assume the store is closed. I wonder how many millions of dollars in sales they have lost because of this major flaw that they refuse to address. They also refuse to hire male cashiers and won't cash checks over $500. But that's ok for their employees because none of them make over $500. 90% of their employees shop at Wal-Mart or Save-A-Lot because they can't afford to shop to there. They also have an affinity for not promoting any of their employees unless they have huge tits.

The tomatoes were thin and lacking flavor, bring on summer. The avocado was a small smear that couldn't be tasted. They also forgot my sprouts.
