GloBody Spray Tan in Alpharetta is my new go-to spot for spray tans. Their spray tanning formula is…read moreall natural, organic and paraben free! It has no odor and you don't leave feeling sticky at all! This location is located in the Phenix Salon Suites. One tan is about $60 or you can buy a package of tans. The process takes about 20 mins. You can wear a swim suit, use her disposable undergarments, or go fully nude. I booked an appointment with Christina Cocita, who was sweet and made me feel super comfortable. She looked at my skin tone and determined that the level 1 spray would be the best fit for me. There are three levels for color options. She tells you where and how to stand, so that you can get a full body tan with no spots missed and no streaking. After she sprays you with the tanning machine, it also has a warm air that she uses to help it dry quicker and evenly. Before you go, be sure to shower, shave, exfoliate, as you won't be able to do this for 6 or so hours. Do not wear makeup, options or deodorant. It is recommended that you wear loose fitting clothes and do not sweat after you get your tan. The results are instant and I loved how I looked after my spray tan. My tan lasted for a week and can potentially last longer if you don't get in the ocean or pool like I did. She also offers mobile spray tanning and can come to you with advanced notice. Be sure to check out GloBody Alpharetta for al your spray tanning needs!

The owner, Bree, and her bestie (also named Bree) run a perfectly oiled (no pun intended) company that puts the customer first. They discuss tanning options with you and suggest the type of tan and preparation you need to get the most out of your experience. I have had several compliments from others on my tan from each of my visits. Most of the comments come in the form of, "You look great! What did you do differently?" to "You look so much younger!" (I love that one.) Long live Alchemy Tan! I'm telling all of my friends about them. Seriously, you should see for yourself. Thanks, Bree (squared)!

Today, though, I walked into Julian's - and lo and behold - it was the same Julian from Woo who's opened his own place!! So excited about this - I just don't do facials, but my talented friend Kimberly Mack - seriously, if y'all need makeup done for anything from a special date to a wedding, call her (you can find her on FB) - asked me to come in. OMG (and I really don't like that acronym but that's all I can say). Nicole is a genius. I filled out a lengthy questionnaire about everything from skin type to medicines I take to diet....all so she could figure out how best to take care of me. I came in because Kimberly asked (I didn't know they've only been open a couple weeks!) and I was very nervous - pedicures are my domain but facials - eep! Nicole handled all my anxiety with such grace and she made sure to use such skin-appropriate (they use Caudile products) products and was super-attentive to my skittishness - she told me it would be the highest compliment if I fell asleep in her hands - and I did! Seriously - it was like getting a massage - she even worked on my hands and feet! BTW - they offer you water or wine when you come in but you won't even need the wine because it is so completely relaxing to be in such good hands. I left with samples and a cute new makeup bag - and I think I've got to go back, at least for a facial in a couple months (summer's end? sounds about right!) and some of that amazing smelling lotion she used on me - I still smell delicious. Go. Brookhaven isn't far away. I promise - it is totally worth it.
