I thought I'd give another update for Dr. T to let y'all know he continues to be the best doctor on…read morethe planet. In my eyes, he can do no wrong. He's been taking very good care of me for quite a number of years now. As I said before, you do not get a bedside manner better than Dr. T. He gets excellent reviews on all the physician and medical sites on the web, and well he should! The only thing i have seen people complain about is that sometimes, you may wait an hour to see him because he is running behind. I never complain and I don't care because when he comes in the room with me, I am all that matters to him. If he needs to sit in the room with me for 30-40 minutes, then he will do it. This is the reason he runs behind. He takes the time to listen to every question you have and he cares about your questions. He then takes the time to answer each and every question you ask and he makes sure you understand everything. Personally, I'd rather have a doctor who runs behind sometimes because he takes the time with his patient, rather than have a doctor who always runs behind and still only spends 5 minutes or less with you. Dr. T rarely has time to take a lunch and I hate to even think how late he leaves the office each evening. I actually just scolded him today and told him he was working himself into an early grave by doing that - he agreed! LOL But he cares about his patients, so he's going to continue putting in those kind of hours. It's also nice to have my doctor walk in and actually KNOW who I am! The man has jokes too, he quite often makes me laugh with some of his witty remarks! :D Scott is Dr. T's medical assistant and he is SO amazing! He is so kind and he'll get to know you also. You won't be just another number to him either. Best medical assistant Dr. T has ever had and the best darn medical assistant I've seen anywhere! Denise is the phlebotomist in this office. Yep, Dr. T has his own lab in the office. Makes things MUCH easier when he needs to check blood and urine! She's really good at what she does. I'm a really hard stick and she gets me the first time, every time, and it never hurts. Like everyone else, she knows me well too and even remembers exactly where my "good" veins are. She's been there as long as I've been seeing Dr. T since 2007. I can't think of the name of Dr. T's triage nurse to save my life right now, probably b/c I've only seen her maybe twice and have only had to talk to her on the phone a few times over the years. But, she too is wonderful. She's great at accessing whatever your problem is and gives wonderful advice! I'd also like to mention Susan, who works at the front desk at check-in and Fay, who you'll see before you leave the office to schedule your next appointment and who will call to confirm your appointments. They are both sweethearts and they both have been there for as long as I've been seeing Dr. T. I think it really says something that so many staff members have been with him for so long! There are a lot of other people who work in this practice that I really don't have much contact with, like some of the women who answer the phones. But I've always had a great experience with every staff member in this office. Zero complaints. I have to leave messages for Dr. T often because he keeps a close watch on my blood sugar readings. He always gets back with me asap! Before the remodel, the office was really nice, but now it is quite lovely. The waiting area is large, well decorated, and has really comfy chairs and couches. Everything is extremely clean! You'll also find free wifi here. Dr. T's office is in the Baptist Hospital Pavilion, so you'll be able to tap into the free wifi offered by the hospital. Bonus! I want to touch on the waiting thing again. Like I said, there have been times I've waited an hour or more to see Dr. T, but this generally only happens when I call in at 8am with an emergency and have to be worked into the already full schedule. It has happened several times with scheduled appointment, but not very often. The average wait time is approximately 30 minutes. But, there have even been times when I'm being called back before I can barely have time to take a seat in the waiting area. Dr. T is an internal medicine specialist, but that doesn't mean he can't be your general practitioner. In my humble opinion, it's always best to have an internist as your general practitioner anyway. To close, I'd just like to say again that Dr. T is wonderful and I promise you WILL NOT find a better doctor anywhere else!

Dr. Balbona caused my non-alchoholic cirrhosis. A painful, complex, protracted death sentence…read more April 2024, he ordered an abdominal CT scan looking for adrenal tumors to support his idea that my sudden cortisol spike and high blood pressure was caused by cortisol/adrenal tumors. A.K.A. Cushings. Dr. Balbona LOVES telling you how smart he is and if you ask questions he literally answers "Leave that to me." When I asked "what kind of tumors" that's the answer I got. Wrong. My adrenals were normal. But on the SAME REPORT the CT scan noted "Cholelithiasis. Mild nodularity liver noted which could represent cirrhotic morphology. Consider corrolation with lab values." He ignored that. Left a message through the secretary the CT scan was"normal". Also ignored kidney stones, duodenal diverticulum and some atherosclerotic calcifications of the aorta and branch arteries. Never even discussed it with me or called my attention to it. Never ordered subsequent testing or follow up. So thanks for nothing. Leave it to YOU? While you were busy chasing some non-existant disease and bugging me to let you suppress my cortisol (which resolved itself after an ablation). THEN I see this CT scan on my Continuation of Care document that I didn't even know existed, one year later - I provided this CT to a gastro doctor since I THOUGHT I had gallbladder or hiatal hernia and Imagine my SHOCK when she announced "You have cirrhosis!" Go to Baptist Network. To a GROUP of organized, methodical, doctors who are actually following a PROCESS and part of a much better network than St. Vincent's - another nightmare. Baptist, who dictate written visit summaries, test result interpretations, and communicate in writing with all your medical team in real time THEN upload everything into a great functional portal. Not this little guy hiding in his little office who doesn't even want to discuss your conditions, barely makes eye contact, and only takes pride in his fake brilliance. And on top of all that, even if you pay for concierge service you get nothing but the same 15 minutes, having to repeat your entire history every visit, and his cell number. He has only a vague inkling about your conditions or tests prescribed you have to UPDATE HIM. You still have to play telephone through unintelligent staff who literally give you the wrong information. "Your bloodwork was normal come back in 3 months." NO it wasn't. The Cortisol Dex Suppression test FAILED. As you can see from his glowing Google reviews, he caters to people who are in search of "feelings" not life saving medical results.

Good medical team, bad management, stay way from their hormone therapy…read more So far I have seen Doctor Blissenbach, PN Leeann and Sarah. I absolutely like them and all the nurses there! But their managers and assistants are very unprofessional and extremely forgettable. Over the past 3 years they screwed up more than 8 times of my appointments to different labs, including forgetting to make it, making wrong appointment, forwarding wrong labs etc. I am accepting hormone therapy, but the drug store is back order with the hormone. When I call them to request alternative plan they quickly answer no alternatives without even talking to PN or Docter. I did let them know this has serious consequences if I stop taking it based on what doctors said and they might subject to lawsuits if they don't let me talk to a medical professional about it. Sure enough they came back with alternatives. Then for my 4 appointments my PN Sarah ordered, the office had made only one calling me in 20 days. And that's after I called them to inquire the process. The office person called Laura is impatient and can't care less. No matter how good the medical team are, the management is going to drag it down. Conclusion: This office has good medical team and bad management, it deserve between 4.3 and 4.5, definitely not 4.8 out of 5! I give them only 1, to help to correct their over all rating score. Important Tips!!!For people who intend to do hormone therapy, stay away from them. You need on time cancer monitoring and steady drug supply , these management can't do it!

I always look forward to Dr. B's visits because she is good at her job and is so involved in my life. I couldn't ask for a better doctor to have, I trust her with my health as well as in my personal life. No other doctor will be this involved with making you healthier and a better person. I highly recommend becoming a patient at Dr. Blissenbach's practice since she is unarguably the best primary physician anyone could ask for.

have mixed emotions about this doctor's office…read more Pros: LeaAnne: She is amazing and I highly recommend her. She has wonderful bedside manner, is personable, and listens to your needs. However, I'm not sure if she is still on staff. She's no longer listed on the website. Some Staff: Some of the staff members are nice. Emphasis on "some." Bloodwork: This facility performs their own bloodwork. Cons: Telehealth Appointments: Every single telehealth appointment I've had with Dr. Sara Haugen has been delayed. Once, she was over 30 minutes late, and I had to cancel because of my job's limited flexibility. When I complained to the phone answering service, the gentleman said, "It's always like that. It's the same as coming into the office. They always run late." There is absolutely no reason for telehealth appointments to always be running late. If this is a consistent issue, it suggests either a problem with the doctor's time management or that the office is overbooking her. Front Desk Staff: Pam, who works at the front desk, is not pleasant. Several interactions with her have left me upset or offended. She is not patient, understanding, or kind, and has been very combative at times. Laren is also combative, unhelpful, and rude. When I asked about the patient portal and why my telehealth appointment was running late, she said, "Yeah, that happens. And we don't use that." When I questioned why it was on the patient portal, she responded flatly, "It's just like that. We don't have any control over that. Anyway, you need to..." She showed no empathy for the fact that I had been waiting almost 30 minutes for my telehealth appointment. Did not apologize for the confusion of the portal or the inconvenience of the late appointment. If LeaAnne is no longer working here, I will likely be finding a new doctor's office. And if you look at all the low reviews on Google and other review services, you will see that the doctors and practitioners are not the problem. It's the office staff. Dr Blissenbach needs to address these issues with her staff if she wants to maintain a happy patient experience.
