I had a very short wait and in no time was seen by Dr. Leo Wisniowski. He was prompt, respectful, he answered my questions and had a great bedside manner, I was so pleased with the care I received. Thanks much!

He arrived at 9 am, when the website said they opened, to find a room of people and a confused receptionist. He asked to see a doctor, expecting to wait a while, and was told she "wasn't sure" when the doctor would be in. He inquired some more and she said definitely he'd be in after lunch. He found this odd but returned home and told me he'd go back after lunch. We're not sure what those other crowds of people did...since the doctor was missing. Around 1 pm he headed back over. Still told no doctor. Told to come back that evening. He returned home and when I got home from work I offered to take him over (although I suggested a different clinic because it worries me when they don't know where their physician is!) so I brought him over, during normal hours, and they were closed. No sign, no explanation. Just closed. This is ridiculous. First they send sick people running back and forth because they've lost their doctor and then they randomly close without warning. We will never go back to this location. It was too much of a hassle. And don't worry... I took him to another clinic I usually use and he's feeling much better!

This practice is ... okay. I like the doctors, but the office itself is wanting…read more The waiting area is large, but cut in two. The reception desk is in the middle and while the staff are nice enough, they aren't the most personable. The office layout consists of (what appear to be) two separate hallways of offices with a waiting area for each hallway. The problem is, if the area closest to your doctor's office is full, you have to wait in the other and hope you hear your doctor call your name. Perhaps because this practice doubles as a walk-in clinic, the staff don't call each patient and take them to the exam room, which has always been the norm with my previous GPs. It's also not the cleanest waiting room. My doctor is great, if a bit shy and quiet (then again, so am I). I have seen one other doctor in this practice and he was efficient and personable. I would recommend this practice as the three-star rating is more for the pre-appointment experience; I have had nothing but pleasnt experiences with the GPs.

Parkland is where appts are booked along with a walk in clinic until 4 pm. Parkwest is open 9-9 daily seeing all walk in patients. It is open 7 days a week. Varying hours on weekends and Holidays. The doctors are always there to help along with the nurses. Proffesional and kind are the two words I would use to describe the doctors and facilities.

Woodlawn has been my family doctor's office ever since I can remember. I've been going there even…read moreback when it was in that terrible brown building with the narrowest staircases of all time. It was dim dingy and very, very much in need of an update. This new building is lovely. Bright and airy, with art on the walls, it's a much more pleasant place to wait in. The chairs are super comfy, which is great, as you'll be waiting for a while in them. While I love my family doctor to pieces, and I've never had any other doctor disappoint me here, I can't give this spot a full five stars. That is because my doctor has a receptionist that hates me. I don't know why. I can't ever remember her smiling at anyone, so maybe she hates everyone. All I know is she's rude and blunt and I dread calling for an appointment because of how little she cares. There's another receptionist who works the same desk, and she's an absolute doll. She'll do her best to get everyone an appointment as soon as possible, while the other woman will make you wait six weeks, no matter how much you stress that your call is an emergency. So really, this review is either a one star for stressing me out so much, or a five star for making my life a breeze. Let's compromise, and go with a middle three. The extra star is for the amazing doctors who deserve all the praise in the world.

The walk-in clinic is separate from the rest of the clinic. It has a nice sized waiting room with comfy chairs. They do blood collection services very early, which is convenient for me when I need to get blood work done before heading to work. The main clinic is very nice, uses bright funky colours to organize the stations, and is just plain huge. Every time I'm amazed at the size of the waiting room stations for each set of doctors. It's fresh and modern, with tans and greens and splashes of colour here and there. Flat screens are scattered around, feeding you medical tips and info. The exam rooms are big and inviting, too, with hardwood floors and the same warm colour palette. That being said, I totally loathe their phone system. It's one of those automated systems where you have to speak your doctor's name and the computer will attempt to recognize your voice and connect you to the correct office. I say attempt, because I've yet to be able to connect this way. I speak as clearly as possible, and get frustrated after the automated voice on the other end apologizes for not understanding what I'm saying and asking me to repeat myself for the third time before it gives up and just connects me to the main switchboard. The clinic is great. Now if only my doctor could be rated the same...

I then dropped by the office to see if I could book for a subsequent date in person. The office was completely empty. I was told that I could only book by phone, and could try on the following morning, which I did, but continually received a busy signal. So, I tried again repeatedly on the following two mornings. The first morning, I eventually received the message that the office was fully booked. On the second morning, I actually succeeded I getting through, but was placed on hold for about 15 minutes, and then when the receptionist finally picked up again, she told me that I would have no hope of getting an appointment at the clinic for the next two weeks. I am not sure why when I visited the clinic, she just didn't tell me that they were not currently taking walk in appointments which appears to be the situation, instead of allowing me to waste three mornings trying to book one.
